Grammy winner Lainey Wilson is set to make her feature film acting debut in Universal’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestseller “Reminders of Him.”

Wilson joins a cast that includes Maika Monroe, Tyriq Withers, Rudy Pankow, Lauren Graham, Bradley Whitford and Nicholas Duvernay.

The country superstar already has a relationship with Universal after she contributed the original song “Out of Oklahoma” to last year’s blockbuster “Twisters.” The track was nominated for multiple awards, including by the Guild of Music Supervisors and the Society of Composers and Lyricists. The full soundtrack, which went No. 1 on the Billboard country charts, was also nominated for a Grammy.

“Twinless” has finalized a sale to Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate. The twisted comedic drama, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival, will land in theaters on Sept. 5.

Roadside will release the film in the U.S. while Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions will distribute internationally.

Dylan O’Brien and James Sweeney star in “Twinless,” which follows two friends who meet in a twin bereavement support group and form an unlikely bond. At Sundance, “Twinless” won the audience award and O’Brien was recognized for best performance for his leading dual role as twin brothers.

Sweeney wrote, directed and produced the movie, which co-stars Aisling Franciosi, Lauren Graham, Tasha Smith, Chris Perfetti, François Arnaud, Susan Park and Cree Cicchino.

The mystery-drama comedy Desperate Housewives ran for eight seasons on ABC from 2004 until 2012, but it continued to have a loyal fandom even after its ending. That's why the series is now getting a spin-off.

The dramedy series was set on Wisteria Lane, a street in the fictional town of Fairview in the fictional Eagle State. Desperate Housewives followed the lives of four women, covering their lives across fifteen years. Deadline reveals that the new offshoot series will be titled Wisteria Lane, and will welcome new residents on the same street.

The new spin-off series is a reimagining of the ABC hit, and is in development at Onyx Collective. The upcoming Wisteria Lane comes from Scandal's Kerry Washington's Simpson Street, and 20th Television. Desperate Housewives creator/executive producer Marc Cherry is not involved in the pitch, but might be involved in the series in the future.

The film centers on Kenna Rowan, a young mother seeking to reconnect with her daughter after serving five years in prison. As of April 1, Bad Santa has joined the ever-expanding catalog of feature films available on HBO's Max streaming service. Its sequel, Bad Santa 2, is also available for streaming on the platform, giving fans the opportunity to binge the entire Bad Santa experience in one place.

The actress who played the beloved Lorelai Gilmore on the hit show, which ran for seven seasons from 2000-07, was the latest guest on the Call Her Daddy podcast. At one point, host Alex Cooper asked which storyline from the series “was a little hard for you to get behind.”

Or at least that was the premise of the PaleyFest L.A. panel that looked back on the prolific TV creator’s hit shows, “Gilmore Girls” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and previewed her new ballet comedy “Étoile.”

Sherman-Palladino was greeted by a roar of applause and a standing ovation from fans who packed the Dolby Theater in Hollywood on Saturday. She smiled and waved as she strode across the stage, seeming truly delighted to have all her actors assemble like the Avengers. But she found it a little tough to focus on the momentousness of the occasion.

“Sorry, I spent the whole red carpet staring at Lauren’s ass and Rachel’s tits. People kept talking about lines that meant something to me,” Sherman-Palladino quipped as she settled into her seat on the “multiverse” panel, sandwiched...

Lauren Graham is more than open to the possibility of collaborating with Rachel Brosnahan on a future Amy Sherman-Palladino project.

Lauren, 58, starred in Gilmore Girls, while Rachel, 34, starred in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, both shows created by Amy.

The worlds of Gilmore Girls, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Étoile collided on Saturday night as PaleyFest LA hosted a celebration of creator Amy Sherman-Palladino.

The event, dubbed a toast to “The Amy Sherman-Palladino Multiverse,” welcomed Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop from Gilmore Girls; Rachel Brosnahan, Alex Borstein and Luke Kirby from Maisel; and Charlotte Gainsbourg and Lou de Laâge from new series Étoile, in which Kirby also stars. Sherman-Palladino and her husband/writing partner Daniel Palladino joined the actors at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre for a 90-minute reflection on the writer-producer’s stacked resumé.

The conversation began with Sherman-Palladino’s past as a dancer, the start of her writing career on Roseanne — as she deadpanned, “Roseanne was an extraordinarily special show at the time. First of all [Roseanne Barr] was only her first version of crazy; it’s very different now” — and the origin story of both her personal and professional relationship with Palladino.

Prime Video has officially released the first trailer for its upcoming series, Étoile, which will premiere on the platform on April 24. The first season consists of eight episodes, and while Prime Video gives some shows, such as The Boys and Reacher, the weekly release treatment, Étoile will come into the world via the binge model, with all episodes debuting simultaneously. Featuring in the lead roles of Étoile are Luke Kirby, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Lou de Laâge. Kirby is best known for his Emmy Award-winning work on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, another Prime Video original series, while Gainsbourg is famed for starring in Antichrist (2009) and Melancholia (2011). De Laâge recently starred in The Mad Women’s Ball alongside Emmanuelle Bercot, and she’s also known for her work in The Innocents(2016).
