Keri Russell is down to revisit Felicity Porter’s life if a Felicity reboot were ever to materialize.
Amid a press tour to promote the new season of Netflix’s The Diplomat, Russell was asked if she would reprise her role of Felicity.
“I would totally do that if it was the right stuff,” Russell said in an interview to E! News.
Russell said she is still in touch with her Felicity co-stars Scott Speedman and Amanda Foreman, “who played my crazy goth roommate.”
“We all still talk all the time,” she added. “They’re like my total pals.”
When asked what Felicity would be up to in 2024, Russell said, “Mandy had a good pitch for it, actually. A really good pitch for, like… life wasn’t going great and, you know, didn’t work out. And she was supposed to be all these things. And then she bumps into someone…...

It has been 25 years since Keri Russell graced the small screen in the iconic role of Felicity Porter.
Felicity, the J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves-produced college drama, was a critical darling of The WB, becoming a phenomenon well before "the big chop" controversy and often topping the list of young adult classics to this very day.
The series amassed 84 episodes over four seasons, and it was nominated for 38 awards, including a Golden Globe Best Actress nod for Keri Russell.
The series remains impactful, even two and a half decades later. And it's primarily due to the allure of the cast, many of whom are still going strong in their careers all these years later.
So, where is the cast of Felicity now? Check it out!

Freeform's scripted roster just took a hit.
The cable network has canceled Single Drunk Female and The Watchful Eye, according to Deadline.
Even worse: all episodes of both series are being removed from Hulu today, meaning that they'll only be available to purchase via iTunes and Amazon.
Single Drunk Female Season 1 was a massive hit for Freeform and Hulu, where it garnered strong viewership on streaming, but the buzz seemingly faded by the time Single Drunk Female Season 2 debuted earlier this year.
The second season launched in April and picked up with Sam a year and a half into her sobriety journey and finally feeling "like she has a life worth celebrating," the logline states.
"However, Sam quickly learns that sometimes life has other plans for her."
"Sam must figure out how to effect change where she can, sit in her discomfort when she can't, and maybe even enjoy the ride.

Sam Fink has grown up. In Single Drunk Female Season 1, she struggled with staying sober and making amends. In Season 2, she's learning it's even harder to remain sober while navigating a new job, a new boyfriend, and moving out on her own.
In many ways, Sam wanted to be normal, but half the time, she knew she was not. She wanted to date someone who didn't have an addiction, but she knew she would still have to attend meetings, something her mom Carol still doesn't understand.
Even though Sam is more in charge of her recovery, she's still an alcoholic, and that's something that mother and daughter finally have to face. It's rough but a beautiful and emotional arc for both.
Both Brit and Felicia decided what they wanted in life, even if it hurt people. Brit went up against her family to finally conquer her dreams. Felicia had someone...

Freeform’s “Single Drunk Female” Season 2 trailer is here to show that Samantha Fink’s sober journey is only the starting point in her story.
The comedy series — set to return Wednesday, April 12, at 10 p.m. Et/Pt on Freeform, and releasing the full ten-episode second season on Hulu Thursday, April 13 — showed a glimpse of Sam (Sofia Black-d’Elia) working to become more self-sufficient after getting more comfortable in her sobriety.
The new trailer, debuting exclusively on TheWrap, finds Sam looking for apartments with her friend Felicia (Lily Mae Harrington) to move into now that she’s been sober for a year and a half.
“If last season was Sam having to deal with her worst self to become her best self, this year it’s ‘I did everything right! Why doesn’t my life work yet?!'” Daisy Gardner, showrunner, executive producer and writer said in a statement to TheWrap.

“I fell in love with Carol’s character right away,” shares Ally Sheedy about her role on Freeform’s “Single Drunk Female.” On the comedy series, she plays the mother of an alcoholic, Sam (Sofia Black-d’Elia), who moves back home to get sober after a very public (and criminal) mishap at her job in New York. The actress notes that “very complicated dynamic between a mother and daughter” drew her to the project and she praises the writing of the two characters as “very on point.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.
The series opens with Carol at a breaking point with Sam, who has a very rocky start on her recovery journey. “I don’t want my life to be about her,” Sheedy says of how her character feels, adding, “I don’t trust that she’s gonna stop drinking.” She talks about how she and Black-d’Elia discovered their complicated dynamic early on,...

Norm Macdonald, the deadpan comedian, actor, writer and “Saturday Night Live” star, has died after a battle with cancer, Variety has confirmed. He was 61.
Macdonald privately battled the disease for almost a decade. “Norm was an original! He defined American humor with honesty and blunt force,” Jeff Danis, president of Dpn Talent and one of Macdonald’s reps, told Variety in a statement.
Dozens of comedians, including Seth Rogen, Jon Stewart, Ron Funches and Jim Gaffigan, paid tribute to Macdonald, “one of the greatest comedians to have ever lived,” on social media.
The comedian got his start in showbiz as a writer on “Roseanne” in 1992 after making rounds at comedy clubs in Canada. He joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live” in 1993, and the next year, began his memorable stint as “Weekend Update” anchor until early 1998, when he was replaced by Colin Quinn. The new Apple TV+ series Physical opens with verve. It is 1986, and we are in the dressing room of a TV studio where a woman — who has her back to us for this whole opening sequence, but whom we’ll soon get to know as Sheila Rubin (Rose Byrne) — sits quietly in front of the makeup mirror, psyching herself up with Heart’s “Straight On” playing on her Walkman. She then (in a mostly unbroken take) struts out to the stage to record the aerobics workout show she apparently hosts.

Cougar Town alum Ian Gomez is set for a recurring role on Apple TV+’s dramedy Physical opposite Rose Byrne and Rory Scovell, from Almost Family creator Annie Weisman, Dirty John showrunner Alexandra Cunningham and Tomorrow Studios. Written by Weisman, who also will serve as showrunner, Physical is set in a 1980s Southern California beach community. It follows Sheila (Byrne), a woman struggling in her life as a quietly tortured housewife who finds an unconventional path to power through an unlikely source: the world of aerobics. Gomez will play ‘Ernie,’ an early tech pioneer who hit the jackpot with one of his inventions, and now plays a big role in local politics. Gomez is best known for playing Courtney Cox’s lovable neighbor Andy Torres on six seasons of the ABC comedy series Cougar Town. His other recent credits include features The Ultimate Playlist of Noise for Hulu and Lionsgate...

Barb and Star do indeed go to Vista Del Mar in “Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” but viewers are advised to put their maps away and let the movie follow its own deranged path. A goofy and absurdist comedy in which anything can happen, and it usually will, Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo’s long-awaited follow-up to the 2011 hit “Bridesmaids” absolutely plays by its own rules.
Whether or not that’s a successful strategy will very much depend on the viewer’s state of mind and opinions about comedy, but in an era where so many films seem to emerge from the same bland assembly line, there’s something exciting about a movie that plays to sharply divided reactions, even if that movie doesn’t hit 100% of the time. Not all the jokes landed for me, admittedly, but they all come from such a bizarre place that I...

The NBC comedy pilot based on the Kevin Hart film “Night School” is not moving forward at NBC, Variety has learned exclusively.
The half-hour multi-cam had originally gotten a pilot order in January, but the pandemic shutdown virtually all pilot production in March. The broadcast network then announced in June that it would resume production on most of its pilots later in the year, with “Night School” being the first pilot to resume production once it restarted.
Like the film, “Night School” follows a a unique mix of adults at a night school Ged prep class who unexpectedly bond over their shared experience and find themselves helping each other both inside and outside of the classroom. It starred Shanola Hampton in the role played by Tiffany Haddish in the film, with Josh Segarra playing the role played by Hart. The cast also included Ian Gomez, James Earl, Joe Massingill, and Collette Wolfe.

The abiding darkness in heroism — what it sometimes takes, what it can lead to — has been a longstanding interest of Clint Eastwood’s, from his onscreen vigilante icons to his behind-the-camera explorations of real figures.
And with “Richard Jewell,” his 38th film as director, his portal into the subject is a harrowing case study indeed: the brave do-gooder-turned-suspect, vilified through the very spotlight originally intended to praise him.
In 1996, Jewell was an Atlanta Olympics security guard when he discovered a suspicious backpack that eventually exploded, killing two and wounding many. Initial publicity made this unassuming figure a life-saving star, since the death toll could have been higher. But when word got out that the FBI considered him their prime suspect, the aspects of his life that weren’t so media-friendly — overweight, wannabe cop, lived with his mother — were suddenly turned against him by authorities and the media into evidence of someone craving attention.

Apple certainly brought out the big guns for its first major TV offering, with Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell all starring in the daytime TV-set drama The Morning Show, debuting this Friday, Nov. 1 along with the Apple TV+ streaming service. (I’ve seen the first three episodes.) How could any show starring those three actors possibly be anything but great, you might ask? Well… it could, actually. Sadly, The Morning Show is overly talky, tonally confused, badly miscast in places — and, given the talent involved, a major disappointment.

Jewell was never charged and died in 2007.
“Richard, you’re a national hero now,” says Watson Bryant, Jewell’s attorney who’s played by Sam Rockwell, at the beginning of the trailer.
“Thank you sir, but I was just doing my job,” Hauser responds.

"I report the facts..." "You've ruined this man's life!" Warner Bros has debuted the first official trailer for Clint Eastwood's latest film, titled Richard Jewell, which has already been scheduled for release on December 13th coming up this fall. This time, Eastwood tells another distinctly American story about how an innocent man was vilified by the media. American security guard Richard Jewell, played by the talented Paul Walter Hauser, heroically saves thousands of lives from an exploding bomb at the 1996 Olympics, but is unjustly vilified by journalists and the press who falsely report that he was a terrorist. Clint Eastwood is returning to the big screen this awards season with his latest biographical drama “Richard Jewell.” The movie is based on the true story of its title character, a security guard at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, who discovered three pipe bombs on the park grounds. Jewell, played in the film by rising actor and “I, Tonya” breakout Paul Walter Hauser, was initially hailed as a hero for saving lives, only for unreliable media coverage to turn him into a suspect and destroy his life.
Warner Bros.’ official synopsis for “Richard Jewell” reads: “The world is first introduced to Richard Jewell as the security guard who reports finding the device at the 1996 Atlanta bombing; his report making him a hero whose swift actions save countless lives. But within days, the law enforcement wannabe becomes the FBI’s number one suspect, vilified by press and public alike, his life ripped apart.
