George Gipe(1933-1986)

In addition to his screenplays, George Gipe was a former magazine author who also wrote the non-fiction book 'The Last Time When'. This was a compendium of the last time when various major cultural events happened, such as the last baseball game played by the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbetts Field, and the last issue of the Saturday Evening Post. This book was published with favourable blurbs from Steve Martin and Carl Reiner, both of whom had worked with Gipe in Hollywood.
