"All I wanted was to dream crazy things, and find people crazy enough to dream them with me." Disney has revealed an official trailer for Hollywood Stargirl, a direct-to-streaming sequel to their inspiration film Stargirl from 2020 (see that trailer). Director Julia Hart reunites with actress Grace VanderWaal for this next step in her story, based on the original character from Jerry Spinelli’s best-selling book. "Find your place among the stars." Stargirl moves out of Arizona and heads to Los Angeles with her mom who's working on a movie. She "quickly becomes involved with an eclectic assortment of characters," including other filmmakers and musicians. Returning as Stargirl, VanderWaal also performs the original song "Figure It Out" (in this trailer) that she wrote for the film. The ensemble cast also includes Judy Greer, Tyrel Jackson Williams, Judd Hirsch, Uma Thurman, Elijah Richardson, Al Madrigal, Ben Geurens, & Sarayu Blue. This looks super...

The wait for the second half of Legacies Season 4 is considerably longer than planned.
The series was initially set for a Thursday, January 27 bow.
However, the network scrapped those plans a week ago, leaving the show without a return date.
Now, TV Line is reporting that the supernatural drama will resume Thursday, February 24.
No reason has been given for the longer-than-expected hiatus but is likely due to Covid-19.
Many TV shows have been taking longer breaks in production in response to the pandemic.
As for what we can expect from Legacies Season 4 Episode 10, the midseason premiere, the network shared the following:
"Cleo (Omono Okojie), Mg (Quincy Fouse) and Jed (Ben Levin) work together on an unusual mission," reads the official logline.
"Alaric (Matthew Davis), Landon (Aria Shahghasemi), and Ted (guest star Ben Geurens) figure out what is next for them."
"Meanwhile, an unexpected source takes Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) by surprise.

The long wait for the back half of Legacies Season 4 just got longer.
KSiteTV is reporting that the planned January 27 premiere has been scrapped at The CW.
The outlet states that the show will now return "late February."
No reason has been given for the decision, but it's not difficult to speculate why the midseason debut has been delayed.
Many TV shows have announced they are postponing production this week amid rising Covid-19 cases.
Shows like Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, and The Rookie are just some of the shows to announce such a measure.
Star Trek: Picard, meanwhile, registered over 50 cases of Covid-19, with the show taking being brought to a halt.
It's possible The CW is taking the precautionary measure of delaying the return to ensure enough episodes are banked for later in the year.
The CW was forced to roll with a slate of acquired programming in fall 2020 because...

Lizzie Saltzman made a big decision on Legacies Season 4 Episode 9.
If you watch Legacies online, you know Hope murdered the witch in one of the most shocking scenes on the show to date.
Thankfully, Lizzie recognized that she could use a potential death to her advantage, dying with vampire blood in her system.
The first trailer for Legacies Season 4 Episode 10 is here, and it shows Lizzie revealing she will be a Heretic.
Things are never easy on this show, so there will probably be more to the tale than that.

Legacies is throwing it all the way back to The Originals again.
Legacies Season 4 Episode 8 brought Rebecca Breeds back into the fold as Aurora de Martel, a villain from The Originals Season 3.
The milestone installment found Aurora tricking Hope into swapping bodies with her, and now, Hope is no longer the Tribrid.
Aurora's feud with the Mikaelsons stems back hundreds of years, and she's not the type of person to give up without a fight.
"Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) finds herself involved in a game of cat and mouse as Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) sets out to make things right," reads the official logline for Legacies Season 4 Episode 9.
The "cat and mouse" game is likely Aurora chasing her to try to get her own back for the torment she went through at the hands of the Mikaelsons.

In “Locusts,” a dark thriller set in Australia’s Outback, estranged tech entrepreneur Ryan Black returns to his desert hometown — the ironically named Serenity Crossing — for his father’s funeral. Ryan is reluctantly reunited with his ex-con brother, and the pair soon becomes the target of an extortion scam at the hands of desperate criminal associates of their reprobate dad. The Aussie movie site FilmInk writes: “Boasting a tight and twisting script and stunning imagery, ‘Locusts’ is the kind of film that we don’t see nearly enough of in Australia: a classy crime B-movie in the style of John Dahl or (early) James Foley. Ben Geurens in ‘Locusts.’
Typifying the challenges facing the vast majority of Australian films, Heath Davis’ suspense-drama Locusts and Partho Sen-Gupta’s thriller Slam were released on a handful of screens last weekend.
Working with limited marketing budgets the distributors and producers relied primarily on reviews and publicity, and the weekend figures were commensurately modest.
Ben Geurens and Nathaniel Dean play estranged brothers who are the targets of an extortion racket in Locusts, which grossed $11,000 on 11 screens and $14,000 with previews.
Film Ink Presents is handling the theatrical release of the privately-financed film, which co-stars Jessica McNamee, Steve Le Marquand, Justin Rosniak, Andy McPhee, the late Damian Hill and Alan Dukes, while Jonathan Page’s Bonsai Films will sell the ancillary rights.

Damian Hill and Ty Perham in ‘West of Sunshine.’
Shooting of M4M began in Melbourne on Monday as the cast and crew regrouped following the death on September 22 of Damian Hill, who co-wrote the crime drama/romance with the director Paul Ireland.
Ireland has dedicated the film inspired by Shakespeare’s ‘Measure for Measure’ to Hill, his best mate who was to co-produce and play Angelo, a character the director described as a fallen angel.
“After Dame died we got together and decided the best thing to do is carry on and make this for Dame,” says Ireland, who first collaborated with the actor/producer/writer in Pawno in 2015.
“Everyone has been amazing and very stoic. Dame and I were like a married couple. We worked together every day. He was so humble, a beautiful person. I feel like I have lost a part of me, but I’m determined to get through this.

In a bit of a shakeup, The CW’s “Reign” has upped new cast member Ben Geurens to series regular — though he will be playing a different character than the one he was originally cast for. Geurens will now appear on the show as Gideon Blackburn, who serves as the British Ambassador sent by Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) to spy on Mary Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane). We quickly question where his true allegiance lies. As TheWrap previously reported, Geurens had originally been cast in the recurring role of Don Carlos, Spain’s sexy and charming prince. The Belanglo State Forest, scene of Ivan Milat.s grisly serial murders, is such a forbidding place the producers of the Seven Network.s Catching Milat chose to avoid the area.

Instead, the cast and crew shot the crime drama in Terrey Hills, St Ives, Balmain, Glebe, Wattle Grove and Parramatta.
As the title suggests, the focus is not on Ivan Milat but on the marathon investigation into the 1990s backpacker murders that led to his arrest and conviction.
