Look who’s back. Months after Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli) left Grey Sloan for a peds research position in Texas, he is returning to Seattle. His appearance was teased Thursday night in a promo for next week’s Episode 2117 of Grey’s Anatomy, “Love You Like a Love Song.” It marks Borelli’s first time back on the ABC medical drama since his farewell Episode 2107 “If You Leave,” which aired in November.

As expected, it was Levi’s Bff Jo (Camilla Luddington) that brought him back as the promo reveals that Levi will officiate Jo and Link’s (Chris Carmack) upcoming wedding. In the clip, exclusively provided to People, fans get their first glimpse at Dr. Sydney Heron (Kali Rocha) and “all her passive-aggressive glory” since 2007, when she left the ABC medical drama.

In the 30-second glimpse at the upcoming season, Rocha’s Dr. Heron is seen speaking to the interns and telling them to think of her as one of them because she was previously a resident at the hospital. “Who’s ready to heal with love?” she says before hugging Chandra Wilson’s Dr. Miranda Bailey.

Tom knows he's great, and he doesn't shy away from letting everyone else know it, too. Renowned neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd may have also oozed with confidence and took no nonsense from his fellow healthcare providers, but he had a certain warmth to him that Tom rarely echoed. There were a few exceptions to his cool demeanor throughout his time on the show, however, and one of those exceptions likely contributed to his decision to leave Grey Sloan Memorial.

Ally McBeal, Grey’s Anatomy, Cheers, Martin and The Sopranos were among the beloved television shows celebrated with cast reunions at the 2023 Emmys ceremony.

In honor of the Primetime Emmy Awards marking its 75th anniversary, castmembers from a number of notable series reunited to present awards at the ceremony that was held Monday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. This included re-created sets for many of the celebrated shows.

Among the moments gathering buzz was a reunion for Ally McBeal stars Calista Flockhart, Greg Germann, Peter MacNicol, and Gil Bellows. The performers emerged from the show’s bathroom set to dance to “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything” by Barry White.

Four original Ally McBeal cast members, star Calista Flockhart as well as Greg Germann, Peter MacNicol and Gil Bellows, reunited Monday night during the Emmy broadcast on Fox more than 26 years after the debut of the legal dramedy, which aired on the network for five seasons, from September 1997 to May 2002.

The bit started with Flockhart washing her hands in a replica of the show’s famous unisex bathroom.

“I knew I drank too much water; I had to take my Spanx off, I had to put my dress back on,” Flockhart is heard “thinking” in a voiceover before she takes a look in the mirror and tells herself, “Girl, you look good.”

That is when there is a series of three toilet flushes, each followed by an Ally McBeal cast member, MacNicol, Bellows and Germann, coming out of a bathroom stall.

You may have heard that the 75th edition of the Emmy Awards is finally happening on Monday, capping a nearly four-month delay resulting from the twin WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. I think “Gunsmoke” and “The Andy Griffith Show” were still all the rage when this process began, JFK was President and a loaf of bread was a quarter. Alas, I exaggerate (though just a bit). But for this and no doubt other reasons, the TV Academy is clearly in a nostalgic mood, slating mini-reunions and tributes to and/or visual recreations of a dozen shows to mark the occasion.

The idea, according to the Emmy producers, is to honor television throughout the decades of its existence, from the 1950s (“I Love Lucy”), to the 1960s (“The Carol Burnett Show”), the 1970s (“All in the Family”), the 1980s (“Cheers”) and the 1990s (“Ally McBeal” and “Martin”) through the early 2000s.

The Television Academy has announced the full list of performers and presenters who will appear at the upcoming 75th Emmy Awards.

The show, which was originally supposed to air in 2023, will now take place on Monday night (January 15) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

The ceremony is going to air on Fox and will be broadcast live coast-to-coast. It will be available on Hulu the next day.

The executive producers of the show have teased that there will be “show-stopping cast reunions and tributes to hit television series spanning seven-plus decades.”

Host Anthony Anderson also revealed his unconventional plan for keeping things moving on Emmy night. Instead of the traditional play-off music to wrap up long speeches, for the first time in Emmy history, his mother, Doris Bowman aka Mama Doris, will act as the “enforcer” to ensure a swift pace of the telecast.
