Look who’s back. Months after Levi Schmitt (Jake Borelli) left Grey Sloan for a peds research position in Texas, he is returning to Seattle. His appearance was teased Thursday night in a promo for next week’s Episode 2117 of Grey’s Anatomy, “Love You Like a Love Song.” It marks Borelli’s first time back on the ABC medical drama since his farewell Episode 2107 “If You Leave,” which aired in November.
As expected, it was Levi’s Bff Jo (Camilla Luddington) that brought him back as the promo reveals that Levi will officiate Jo and Link’s (Chris Carmack) upcoming wedding. We won’t spoil tonight’s Episode 2116, “Papa was a Rollin’ Stone” beyond noting that it ended with Jo and Like having to plan a wedding in four days.

By… by whom? None other than Greg Germann’s Koracick, back like the proverbial bad penny. Keep reading, and we’ll go over not only how that twist turned out but whether Teddy and Owen stuck a fork in their marriage and the odd collision of Jules and Monica’s love lives.

There have been a lot of comings and goings over the course of the current season of Grey’s Anatomy and it seems the revolving door is about to bring yet another familiar face back into the mix… though this one isn’t a face fans are likely going to be excited to see.
As teased in the promo for the upcoming twelfth episode of Grey’s Anatomy’s current season, “Ridin’ Solo,” Greg Germann will be returning as Dr. Tom Koracick and it seems his latest return is going to give fans yet another reason to dislike his character.
The episode will see Meredith and Amelia attempting to get funding for their Alzheimer’s research, but as they go to present their proposal to potential investors they’re shocked to learn that someone else has presented a similar proposal already. How could this be? Enter, Koracick who comes waltzing into the...

Fans of Will Trent hopeful for the return of a key villain may be out of luck, at least for now!
Will Trent is set to return for Season 3 with a new look for the lead character. When last we saw the show in May 2024, Will (Ramon Rodriguez) had been forced to arrest love Angie (Erika Christensen) for covering up a murder. He then left both Gbi, and it seems Georgia itself.
Season 3 picks up six months later as Will returns with a new bitter and laid-back attitude and the question of whether he should rejoin the Gbi. Angie is out of jail and trying to get back on the force which is an uphill battle as Will faces new challenges.
Among them is fans wondering if the show will bring back one of its most notable foes, James Ulster. Played by Greg Germann, Ulster popped up in the first...

Grey's Anatomy has been going for almost two decades. The 21 seasons and nearly 450 episodes have introduced viewers to plenty of characters, but few have been as popular with fans as Dr. Derek Shepherd, who's been affectionately referred to as "McDreamy." Derek is a neurosurgeon who works at the same hospital as the main character, Meredith Grey, and even had a relationship and kids with her. Patrick Dempsey won over audiences' hearts as Derek Shepherd, and even received the honor of People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2023 after showing so much charisma in Grey's Anatomy.
The show controversially killed Derek Shepherd in episode 21 of season 11, titled "How to Save a Life." The episode is one of the lowest-rated episodes on IMDb, with a user rating of 5.6/10 with more than 3,000 reviews, mostly annoyed with how Derek was killed in the episode. However, McDreamy's death was a necessity, especially with situations in the background of the show's production.

Grey's Anatomy has seen many characters come and go during the course of its run, and among those who haven't been seen in a while is Martin Henderson's Dr. Nathan Riggs. Over seven years later, the actor has confirmed that he's open to the idea of returning as his fan-favorite character.
While speaking with Deadline to promote his series Virgin River, Henderson was asked about the possibility of returning to Grey's Anatomy. He teased that a return is possible, feeling that Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes would be supportive of a return of Dr. Riggs. It all comes down to scheduling, as Henderson is keeping pretty busy with his post-Grey's work.

Since her feature film debut in 1996, Nicole Holofcener has steadily been one of the strongest mumblecore directors working today. Her films highlight the complicated relationships of people, focusing on realistic dialogue and naturalistic acting. She has also had a prolific writing career with screenwriter credits for films like The Last Duel, Every Secret Thing, and Can You Ever Forgive Me?, the latter of which earned Holofcener an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay and won her the Writers Guild of America Award in the same category. She even has an uncredited rewrite for Black Widow.
The agency of women and how they interact with each other and the world around them is one of the biggest themes running through Nicole Holofcener's directorial work. With her films rooted in mature realism, Holofcener's filmography flies under the radar with popular IP titles often dominating the box office over quieter original stories. However,...

The long-running series Grey's Anatomy has had many casting shakeups over the years, and some actors have been cut loose from the series long before they were ready to say goodbye. That applies to April Kepner actor Sarah Drew, who can still recall how it seemed "unjust" when she was fired without warning from her role in the series back in 2018.
Per TVLine, Drew opened up on her Grey's Anatomy exit during an interview for the Call It What It Is podcast, which is hosted by former cast mates Jessica Capshaw and Camilla Luddington. At the time of her firing six years ago, Drew made a comment that compared getting fired from the series to "attending [my] own funeral," and it was given a significant amount of attention in the media. When Grey's Anatomy returned to ABC for Season 21 on September 26, 2024, fans were met with familiar faces and a fond farewell to one of the show's most instrumental programmers. The premiere episode, "If Walls Could Talk," was officially dedicated to Stephanie Leifer, a longtime ABC programming executive who spent a major portion of her career working to advance the success of Grey's Anatomy.
Although fans may not recognize Leifer as a household name, her lasting contributions to Grey's Anatomy speak volumes. As such, it's only fitting to reflect on who Leifer was, how she came aboard the show, and what she did to help make Grey's Anatomy the longest-running American medical drama in TV history. It's also important to hear what Leifer's friends and colleagues felt about her dedication to ABC and how her creative legacy will endure long after her untimely passing at age 56.

Many TV shows have had interesting characters who randomly disappeared without any or very little explanation. While there may have been a behind-the-scenes explanation for this, it wasnt often voiced by production, which left audiences confused as to where their favorite characters went. Even the best TV shows of all time have been guilty of this before, which only made the situation even more frustrating.
Sometimes, the departure of a character was necessary. If a certain plotline advanced and the characters stories moved on to something new, there was frequently a need to reevaluate the importance of another figure. While this was annoying, it was worse elsewhere, and some shows aired TV exits that were totally out of character or made no sense whatsoever. Regardless of the reason, these puzzling disappearances from TV shows were incredibly noticeable.

A new sneak peek at Grey’s Anatomy season 21 sees the return of Jesse Williams’ beloved Jackson Avery and tensions rising at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital after season 20’s dramatic finale.
In the clip, exclusively provided to People, fans get their first glimpse at Dr. Sydney Heron (Kali Rocha) and “all her passive-aggressive glory” since 2007, when she left the ABC medical drama.
In the 30-second glimpse at the upcoming season, Rocha’s Dr. Heron is seen speaking to the interns and telling them to think of her as one of them because she was previously a resident at the hospital. “Who’s ready to heal with love?” she says before hugging Chandra Wilson’s Dr. Miranda Bailey.
The teaser also reveals that Jesse Williams’ Dr. Jackson Avery will be returning for season 21 in some capacity — and his character does not seem thrilled with Ellen Pompeo’s Dr. Meredith Grey, following the events of the season 20 finale.

Brain surgeons stereotypically have a reputation for their big egos in and out of the operating room, and Dr. Tom Koracick is one of the best examples Grey's Anatomy has had to offer over the years. Tom knows he's great, and he doesn't shy away from letting everyone else know it, too. Renowned neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd may have also oozed with confidence and took no nonsense from his fellow healthcare providers, but he had a certain warmth to him that Tom rarely echoed. There were a few exceptions to his cool demeanor throughout his time on the show, however, and one of those exceptions likely contributed to his decision to leave Grey Sloan Memorial.
Dr. Koracick first appeared on the show in the Season 14 episode, "Go Big Or Go Home," at the request of Dr. Amelia Shepherd. He maintained his presence on Grey's Anatomy until the end of Season 17, where...

Some actors exit popular shows but return as guest stars, wrapping up storylines and maintaining character significance. Networks welcome back old stars because it will boost ratings and delight fans. Showrunners make efforts to secure former stars for special episodes or finales to keep their characters in the story.
Some actors have officially exited popular shows, most likely giving up their regular status, only to return to the show as a guest star more than once in years to come. Many TV shows survive the main characters' exit, but that character likely still plays a major role in the story and is referenced often. In this case, the showrunners do whatever they can to occasionally secure a former star for an episode, possibly the series finale, to wrap everything up.

Grey’s Anatomy has been renewed for its record-breaking 21st season. Although this may sound like good news, fans of the medical drama megahit are not happy. The fans feel as if the show has run its course and it is time for it to end. The stars of Grey’s Anatomy may feel the same way and it has been suggested the show start preparing for members of the cast to leave.
Shondaland Should Get Smaller
Fans of Grey’s Anatomy are over it. They no longer want the ABC medical drama, created by Shonda Wilson, to continue. Their reasons vary from fan to fan, but the consensus appears most of them will be willing to say to say goodbye to the show.
The debate about when Grey’s Anatomy “jumped the shark” has been up for debate for quite some time now. That debate is moot. The series has been renewed for another season.

Warning: This list contains spoilers for several TV shows.
Cliffhanger moments are a key tool in keeping TV audiences engaged. Grey's Anatomy, Cobra Kai, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sherlock, and Lost contain significant cliffhangers. Some cliffhangers in TV shows have never been fully resolved or answered.
Cliffhangers are the bread and butter of TV shows that want to keep an audience engaged, which is why there is much debate surrounding the biggest TV cliffhangers of all time. Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent Will Trent (Ramon Rodriguez) started Season 2 with a case that involved a flirtation with bomb tech Cricket Dawson (Susan Kelechi Watson), who later sacrificed her life to save him and others from a deadly explosion. The shocking loss stunned and saddened Trent, but as Rodriguez says, Will is able to “compartmentalize all the things that he’s dealing with in his life.” Looks like that will be a tough order this season, not just for Will but for his colleagues in the Atlanta-set crime show. Will’s top concern is figuring out his dad’s identity. Too bad the person who thinks he should be getting a Father’s Day card is serial killer James Ulster (Greg Germann), whom Will broke down and visited in prison at the end of the season premiere. “Will doesn’t want to interact with him much, but Ulster...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Will Trent, Season 2, Episode 1, “Me Llamo Will Trent.”] Will Trent is back after a tumultuous Season 1 finale. But is everything back to normal? It certainly seems to be, as Season 2 opens very much like the pilot episode, with the titular detective (Ramón Rodríguez) once again holding his doggie Betty with a relatively calm disposition. All this, despite the recent revelation of his long-lost mother and possible father, serial killer James Ulster (Greg Germann). However, newcomer and bomb expert Cricket’s (played by special guest Susan Kelechi Watson) admiration for Trent has them both distracted as they work together. They both agree to go out on a date, and things are looking up for Trent, as his disassociation, as pointed out by Ulster’s kidnapping victim and Will’s co-worker Angie (Erika Christensen), is seemingly paying off. That is until a serial bomber takes the life of Cricket, and all his grief ...

Calista Flockhart says the anorexia rumors that swirled around her during the heyday of Ally McBeal cast a pall over her experience on the show.
“I loved working on Ally McBeal, and it just made it sour,” the actress tells the New York Times in a wide-ranging profile. “I was very sleep-deprived and I was depressed about it. I did think that it was going to ruin my career. I didn’t think anybody would ever hire me again, because they would just assume I had anorexia, and that would be the end of that.

The Emmys were screwed.
Delayed by four months because of dual strikes that upended an entire industry for the better part of 2023, the 75th Primetime Emmys were, under the best of circumstances, going to be impossibly stale by the time they were presented in mid-January.
When they’re presented in September, the Emmys have the awards landscape in general and specifically the TV awards landscape entirely to themselves — the culmination of an artificially constructed TV calendar designed to give pride of place to the TV Academy and its annual distribution of shiny baubles.
But with this new schedule, one that will hopefully never be repeated, the Emmys were stuck as the third awards show honoring television in eight days. The Golden Globes, the Critics Choice Awards and now the Emmys — that’s three awards shows that have given an overwhelming haul of trophies to Netflix’s Beef, HBO’s Succession...

Four original Ally McBeal cast members, star Calista Flockhart as well as Greg Germann, Peter MacNicol and Gil Bellows, reunited Monday night during the Emmy broadcast on Fox more than 26 years after the debut of the legal dramedy, which aired on the network for five seasons, from September 1997 to May 2002.
The bit started with Flockhart washing her hands in a replica of the show’s famous unisex bathroom.
“I knew I drank too much water; I had to take my Spanx off, I had to put my dress back on,” Flockhart is heard “thinking” in a voiceover before she takes a look in the mirror and tells herself, “Girl, you look good.”
That is when there is a series of three toilet flushes, each followed by an Ally McBeal cast member, MacNicol, Bellows and Germann, coming out of a bathroom stall.

The Ally McBeal cast takes time to dance on 2023 Emmys and has quite a bit of fun doing so — to the point that host Anthony Anderson has to remind them why they’re there (to present an award). Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Greg Germann (Richard Fish), Peter MacNicol (John Cage), and Gil Bellows (Billy Thomas) reunited where else but the bathroom set from the show. “I knew I drank too much water. I had to take my Spanx off. I had to put my dress back on,” Flockhart’s voiceover played as she looked in the mirror. “Woah, girl, you look good.” Then MacNicol, Germann, and Bellows all came out of the same stall to join Flockhart and dance, until Anderson reminded her she was there to give out an award. How could anyone blame them, though, when it was so clear how much fun they were having? It was short,...

You may have heard that the 75th edition of the Emmy Awards is finally happening on Monday, capping a nearly four-month delay resulting from the twin WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. I think “Gunsmoke” and “The Andy Griffith Show” were still all the rage when this process began, JFK was President and a loaf of bread was a quarter. Alas, I exaggerate (though just a bit). But for this and no doubt other reasons, the TV Academy is clearly in a nostalgic mood, slating mini-reunions and tributes to and/or visual recreations of a dozen shows to mark the occasion.
The idea, according to the Emmy producers, is to honor television throughout the decades of its existence, from the 1950s (“I Love Lucy”), to the 1960s (“The Carol Burnett Show”), the 1970s (“All in the Family”), the 1980s (“Cheers”) and the 1990s (“Ally McBeal” and “Martin”) through the early 2000s.

Emmy Awards executive producers Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay have planned a ceremony that leans heavily on the history of TV, given the award’s diamond anniversary. Tributes and reunions will focus on decades from the 1950s to the present.
“I think they’ll be talking about the ones that they may see on the screen,” Rouzan-Clay says of the reunions. “Those are going to be a big talking point, a big watercooler moment, if you will. … It was a grand task to figure out how to celebrate 75 years of television.
