Ron Friedman comes from a performance background of stage and theater acting with over 30 years of experience as a Character Animator.
Ron has worked in Feature Animation (Pagemaster, Swan Princess), Visual Effects Animation for Film (Van Helsing, Lemony Snicket, The Mist, Snakes On A Plane), and Videogame Animation (Star Wars: Rivals, Robot Rising, City Of Heroes, Immortal City).
Ron was Animation Supervisor for the Academy Award-winning film "Pan's Labyrinth" and was Animation Director on the Namco/Bandai videogame "Afro Samurai".
Ron is a Senior Animator at The Third Floor - Immersive in Los Angeles, CA animating for feature film previsualisation. Prior to that, Ron was a Lead Animator at Disney Interactive on Star Wars: Rivals.
During his time in Massachusetts, Ron taught animation at the New England Institute of Art, Mount Ida College, and at Harvard University Extension in Cambridge, MA. Ron has provided tutorials for DigitalTutors.com and Lynda.com on the subjects of 2D and 3D Character Animation as well as a variety of other subjects. Ron also provides one-on-one online animation tutoring through his teaching website .
