As calls for a cease-fire mount and the civilian death toll rises, with at least 12,700 Palestinians estimated dead and 1,200 Israelis killed in the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, both antisemitism and Islamophobia have been on the rise globally. There has arguably never been more of a need for the Anti-Defamation League, one of the largest anti-hate organizations in the world, which is devoted to fighting antisemitism and bigotry of all kinds.

It’s been decades since CBS’s hit series The Waltons went off the air. But the show about a close-knit family making do during the Depression era still has a loyal fanbase. Just ask Judy Norton, who played Mary Ellen Walton. The actor is used to being approached in public by people who recognize her from TV. While she says that most fans simply want to share their appreciation for The Waltons and her work, a few can be a little over-enthusiastic.

No one disputes the direct line between the exploding popularity of Formula 1 in the United States and the hit series “Drive to Survive,” soon to launch its fifth season on Netflix. So it was only a matter of time before IndyCar, America’s premier open-wheel racing series, would try something similar.
But getting F1’s American counterparts to open the throttle could be tricky – at least at first.
A production crew from Vice Media this week began crawling all over Thermal, California, where the Ntt IndyCar Series’ nearly 30 regular drivers started testing their machines ahead of next month’s 2023 season debut. The TV series, “100 Days to Indy,” is expected to air this year on the CW.
IndyCar brass has instructed teams to allow the Vice crews unfettered access, forbidding them from dismissing cameras for any reason. But it sounds like some IndyCar teams – with widely varying degrees of media...

Just under the top echelon of British sci-fi lurks this well-produced, absorbing ‘expedition to terror!’ that surprises us by paying off on an intellectual plane. After building his monster but before defeating Dracula, Peter Cushing found himself in a real fix on a snowy mountain peak. Sure, the race of enormous Yeti are shiver-inducing, but Cushing must also withstand the mind games of a suspiciously solicitous Tibetan Lhama, and a piratical double-cross by an American huckster who goes by the deceptive name, ‘Friend.’

It’s no surprise really that the Eighties are so fondly remembered for horror and science fiction, that was the time that VHS was growing allowing easier viewing of movies, and of course a time when a lot of people of my generation were growing up. Night of the Comet is one of those sci-fi horrors that never took itself too seriously and came to be known as a film that symbolised everything about the eighties. Yet another classic picked up by Arrow Video it epitomises everything we come to expect from a B-movie.

Go back and think back to the good old days when you could stay up and watch shows like Tales From The Darkside, Tales From The Crypt, Freddy's Nightmares, Goosebumps, Friday the 13th (TV series) or my personal favorites The Hitchhiker or Are You Afraid of the Dark?. These anthology based TV shows that aired in the 80's and 90's were successful either for stories that personally resonated with viewers, a throwback kind of style that reminded viewers of the films and books that they grew up watching or reading, some deliciously nasty little plot twists or just for the sake of some on screen gore! Now take all of those qualities and throw them into a blender and you have Lee Martin's The Midnight Hour! This monthly half hour show takes everything that made those shows work in the past and incorporates it into a fun little series. Lee Martin...

February brings horrors at “The Hour of 13”
For many, February is the month to be thinking about love, greeting card style. Unfortunately, for a few unlucky teens featured on next month’s episode of “Lee Martin’s Midnight Hour,” February brings a deep and rattling chill from the grave in “The Hour of 13”.

They’re usually the ones onstage, rocking out to the crowd, but yesterday (July 7) members of Tokio Hotel were spotted in the audience at a Prince concert.
Bill and Tom Kaulitz and Peter Fox all showed up at the Waldbuehne venue in Berlin, Germany for the show, mixing in with their fellow concert goers.
In related news, Tokio Hotel recently released a new video that features live performances from their “Welcome to Humanoid City” tour.
And from the looks of the video, Tokio’s tour is nothing short of amazing, featuring massive fireballs, floating bridges, and crazy lighting rigs.
