    • Françoise Fabian was born on May 10, 1933 in Algiers, Alger, France [now Algeria]. She is an actress and writer, known for My Night at Maud's (1969), Belle de Jour (1967) and Me, Myself and Mum (2013). She was previously married to Marcel Bozzuffi and Jacques Becker.

  • Algerian-born leading lady of French and international films who started out on the 50s stage at the Paris Conservatoire. She entered films in the mid-50s but didn't achieve notice until a decade later playing mature, worldly sophisticates.
  • She has a white lock in her hair, which appeared when she was young, just after her father's death. She had always hidden it with wigs or dyeing.
  • In May 2018, she released her first musical album, simply titled Françoise Fabian. Alex Beaupain, Charles Aznavour, Julien Clerc or La Grande Sophie are among the authors.
  • In 1971, Fabian signed the Manifesto of the 343, publicly declaring having had an abortion.
