Mark Hamill is one of the most popular actors of this generation, known for portraying the role of Luke Skywalker in the evergreen Star Wars franchise. Following his massive success and popularity in the first three Star Wars films, he transitioned to voice work, contributing to significant projects like Castle In The Sky, A Fuller Life, and Batman: Mask of The Phantasm.
Batman: The Animated Series
Interestingly enough, a DC star demanded he be in a Justice League Unlimited reunion project as well, which would have been a great thing considering he portrayed the role of The Joker for so many years.

While Warner Bros. Studios struggled to assemble the legendary heroes of DC Comics on the big screen for decades, their animation studio achieved this feat back in 2001 on Cartoon Network with Justice League.

Review: Back in 2021, I gave a glowing review to Kevin Smith’s revival of He-Man. Titled Masters of the Universe: Revelation, the Netflix original was released in two five-episode drops, both of which I loved. A blend of modern animation techniques coupled with a throwback to the Filmation style of the 1980s cartoon, Revelation was blasted online by a vocal minority who disliked Smith’s decision to “kill off” Prince Adam in the first episode and make the series centered on Teela and many of the female characters. Bringing back He-Man and the Master of the Universe was always a no brainer. The original cartoon, which ran for just two years back in mid 80s, while massively derivative was also massively influential. Netflix had already hit creative paydirt with its Anime-influenced She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, the smart, overtly queer, rainbow-filled delight that wrapped up its run in 2020.
Bringing Adora’s super-swole brother back was an obvious move. That Kevin Smith was at the helm, promising a direct follow up to the old cartoons and featuring barely-messed-with character designs, only sharpened the excitement.
He-Man, of course, has been rebooted before – three times, in fact, if you count the 1987 live action film – and never especially successfully. Those previous versions, as with She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, were specifically designed to take the frame of the original story and drape a more up-to-date adventure for modern kids over it.

Masters of the Universe will once again have the power, this time on the platform of Netflix, which has unveiled a new animated series shaped under the creative auspices of geek royalty in showrunner/executive producer Kevin Smith. Consequently, the latest iteration of the Mattel Toy property, which dominated pop culture during the 1980s, is carrying classic-inspired sensibilities, as the new show’s first images clearly prove. It’s a retro direction—in stark contrast to other revivals of the property—that Smith confirms was no accident.
Two years after it was announced, Netflix animated revival Masters of the Universe: Revelation has officially revealed a first array of preview images (seen just below), with a release date set for July. Said images (mostly) check off a “who’s who” lineup culled from the franchise’s famously deep well of characters. However, the aesthetics appear to be an artful amalgamation of...

I’m sure many of you remember the Justice League animated series that aired in the early 2000s. Well, Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville), who played Flash in the series wants Warner Bros. to pull their heads out of their butts and do a reunion series!
The whole thing started when Phil Lamarr, who voiced Green Lantern, posted a photo of the main cast of the series that featured himself, Carl Lumbly (Martian Manhunter), Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman), George Newbern (Superman), Kevin Conroy (Batman), Maria Canals-Barrera (Hawkgirl), and Rosenbaum.
That’s what sparked Rosenbaum to post this:
Warner Brothers, kindly remove head out of butt cheeks and let's do a reunion. It would cost nothing. Let's roll!!!! #JusticeLeagueReunion https://t.co/mZuOM24dCg
— Michael Rosenbaum (@michaelrosenbum) June 24, 2019
With all of the reboots and revivals being produced at the moment, it’s not too farfetched to think that some kind of revival/reunion series could happen.

The long-running Diniverse was the place to go in the 90s and early 2000s for top quality superhero action. Prior to the McU and Dceu, the excellent Justice League adapted several classic comic book storylines and went above and beyond your average Saturday morning cartoon. The final season of Unlimited aired in 2006, capping off the Diniverse storylines and characters that went back as far as 1992’s iconic Batman: The Animated Series.
Now, 13 years after the last episode was aired, the cast is calling for a reunion. Phil Lamarr, who voiced Green Lantern John Stewart, kicked things off by posting a photo of the gang at the Warner Bros. offices in 2001.

If any DC-themed animated movie to drop in 2019 offers the best of both worlds, it has to be Justice League vs. The Fatal Five. The reason I say that is because while it does chart new territory that I’ll detail momentarily, it’s a love letter to those of us who adored the sheer perfection that was Justice League Unlimited. Believe it or not, even the film’s score mirrors what we once heard from the beloved animated series. Rest assured that you’ll feel right at home as soon as you hear a well-placed electric guitar accompany Superman’s first display of heroics.
Right now, I’m guessing that you’re champing at the bit to ask me if indeed this flick is in continuity with Jlu, as opposed to Batman and Harley Quinn, which really only shared visual similarities with The New Batman Adventures.

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five is a reunion of talent and style that bridges the old and the new.
Nearly 27 years after the Bruce Timm-developed DC Animated Universe began in 1992 with Batman: The Animated Series, and 13 after it ended in 2006 with Justice League Unlimited, the so-called Timm-verse is … well, not quite back. Yet the new animated film Justice League vs. The Fatal Five is a reunion of talent, and style, but with a new class of heroes joining the iconic characters (and the actors who voiced them) for a largely satisfying adventure.
Executive produced by Timm, the film reunites Kevin Conroy, Susan Eisenberg, and George Newbern to voice, respectively, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman – roles for which their performances are definitive. When the first trailer for Justice League vs. The Fatal Five dropped earlier this week, we’d suspected that much more info regarding the next DC Universe animated movie would be right around the corner. Luckily, we and other fans of superheroes in general have now been imparted with much knowledge pertaining to the highly anticipated release.
First off, let it be known that our forecasting for a spring debut was spot-on. In fact, you’ll be able to get your hands on a copy on April 16th when the flick hits shelves via 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack formats. Or, if you prefer digital, you’ll have your chance to experience the adventure slightly earlier on March 30th.
Before we go any further, let’s check out the official synopsis:

It wasn’t that long ago when I admitted how Justice League vs. The Fatal Five‘s initial announcement didn’t exactly inspire much excitement within me, perhaps because 2019 will finally see Batman: Hush adapted to an animated film. But once we began learning more about the project and the “sneak peek” featurette found its way online, my interest level rose exponentially.
To succinctly describe why I care so much – and why you should as well – I need only say that this particular flick will serve as a spiritual successor of sorts to Justice League Unlimited, which I believe to be the best animated superhero series ever made. I mean, not only does it reunite Kevin Conroy (Batman), George Newbern (Superman) and Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman) as the Trinity, but it also brings back the same character models Bruce Timm whipped up for the aforementioned TV show.

When Justice League vs. The Fatal Five was first announced as being part of DC’s 2019 animated movie slate at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, I admittedly wasn’t as excited for it as other gestating projects because it’d sort of been overshadowed by other things such as the long-awaited Batman: Hush adaptation. But now that more details are making their way online, my interest grows exponentially.
If you’re wondering why you should also be swayed, the first thing you need to know is that this picture won’t merely be another sequel to Justice League: War. Enjoyable as (most) of those New 52-inspired flicks have proven to be, there’s something so satisfying to learn that we’re now getting a spiritual followup to the beloved Justice League Unlimited animated series because, as you may have read a few weeks ago, Kevin Conroy, George Newbern and...

Even though Reign of the Supermen‘s home video release is still a few weeks away, 2019 is already shaping up to be one heck of a year for DC animated movies. After all, not only will it bring us the long awaited Batman: Hush adaptation, but we also have an original tale in the form of Wonder Woman: Bloodlines to anticipate.
Actually, there’s another one in the mix which we should all look forward to, that being Justice League vs. The Fatal Five. Set to be the second quarter release in the line, it was first announced at last summer’s San Diego Comic-Con. At the time, we all assumed it to be part of the New 52 inspired continuity of flicks, but it’s turned out to be something else that’ll satisfy longtime fans of the brand.

The Justice League will face off against a classic group of villains in a new animated movie. Here's the first trailer...
Fans of the Bruce Timm era of DC animated adventures such as Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League are in for a treat: the company's next animated movie, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, is a nostalgic return to Timm's iconic art style. In fact, if you look closely, the new movie recaptures quite a few of the designs from Justice League Unlimited, including the longer ears on Batman's cowl.
As you'd expect, the movie pits DC's pantheon of heroes against the Fatal Five, a group of supervillains from the 30th century. While they're usually the Legion of Super-Heroes' problem, these baddies have traveled back in time to give Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest a hard time.

With the recent Dceu movie turning out to be not as good as it could have been, there’s still no beating the Justice League animated series as the finest screen adaptation of DC’s super-team to date. Airing from 2001 to 2006 (if you count the revamped Justice League Unlimited as the same show), the series is still remembered fondly – hence the interest in getting the cast back together for a reunion.
As part of the ongoing social media campaign to get Warner Bros. Animation to put something together, actress Susan Eisenberg – who played Wonder Woman – shared a Tweet to whip up some support from fans. In response, one individual questioned whether Mark Hamill could be involved as well, given that he played the Joker in several episodes of the show, which was a spinoff of the acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series.

Wonder Woman has finally hit theaters — and there's a lot to say about the Patty Jenkins' superhero movie. Few know Wonder Woman better than voice actress Susan Eisenberg, who has voiced the superhero since 2001. She was in the audience for the film's emotional Hollywood premiere, and breaks down the pic's many applause-worthy moments (and that heartbreaking ending) here with Heat Vision editor Aaron Couch.

She’s easily the most famous female superhero of all time, and she’s doing it on her own. She’s Wonder Woman, and she’s been a solo superhero since her first DC Comics appearance in 1941. Though Gal Gadot is taking her to the big screen in Wonder Woman, out Friday, until now, the best-known depiction of Wonder Woman has to be the Lynda Carter version, which first premiered on Nov. 7, 1975.
That theme song! It’s enough to make you want to spin around and see if maybe this time you’ll magically change into her very same star-spangled costume.

Today is the 75th anniversary of DC Comics' Wonder Woman. While Warner Bros. is celebrating all over, it's important to remember the impact Wonder Woman has had on so many, especially young girls. Let's commemorate the day with this adorable little Wonder Woman. While Gal Gadot, Patty Jenkins, Lynda Carter and DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson stopped at the United Nations today, and the voice of animated Wonder Woman, Susan Eisenberg got a nice feature at The Hollywood Reporter, fans celebrated in their own way. And one little fan, in particular, has been making the rounds. FullTimePhotographer.com did a feature on commercial photographer and digital artist Josh Rossi and his daughter Nellee. With help from Eve Keener, Mcgrew Studio, Crit Killen, and Caleb Blood they turned this 3-year-old into an adorable recreation of Gadot's Amazon Warrior. Just look in awe at the fierceness. Happy 75th Anniversary of Wonder Woman!

The powers-that-be behind the film adaptation of Alterna Comics' The Chair chose the right person to appear in their new teaser trailer. The great Bill Oberst, Jr., is front and center, and we can't think of anyone better to send shivers down our spines this fine Easter Sunday!
Producer, co-writer, and creator of the graphic novel Peter Simeti previously said of the teaser, "If [it] doesn't let you know what you'll be in store for, then nothing else will. We are making a horror film that has as much 'brains' in it as it does 'guts'."

DC Universe's latest original animated movie, "Justice League: Doom," is as close as you're going to get to watching a comic book. Batman, being the brilliant detective that he is, has created contingency plans for each member of the Justice League in case any of them either succumbs to mind control or turns evil for some reason. But when those plans fall into the wrong hands, it could spell the end for the super-powered super group and the entire world.
Loosely based on Mark Waid's "Jla: Tower of Babel," "Doom" is filled with wonderful little surprises that will excite comic book fans and non-comic book fans alike. The film itself is well-written and enjoyable throughout, with a plot that is both clear and concise. Not to mention the fact that it features some of the most awesome heroes DC has to offer: Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern,...

Chicago – The DC Universe brand of straight-to-dvd PG-13 films have had a remarkable array of quality. Some are absolutely brilliant, must-see films (“Justice League: The New Frontier,” “Batman: Under the Red Hood”) while others are kind of a mess (“Wonder Woman.” “Green Lantern: Emerald Knights”). In other words, you never know what you’re going to get when you pop in a new entry in the hit franchise. The 13th film, “Justice League: Doom.” is not a lucky one.

Loosely based on “Jla: Tower of Babel” by Marc Waid, a multi-episode arc that was released in 2000, “Doom” is easily the most disjointed and inconsistent DC Universe film yet. The voice talent is spectacular, featuring a number of all-time favorites when it comes to DC animation (Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, Nathan Fillion, Michael Rosenbaum), but that’s where the praise ends. The story doesn’t resonate and the visuals are mediocre.

Justice League: Doom I've complained before about the inexplicable need for the DC Animated Universe features to be so bloody short. Only the anthology Green Lantern: Emerald Knights has run over 80 minutes and at least two (Batman: Year One and Superman/Batman: Public Enemies) were barely an hour. For whatever reason, the 13 features since late 2007 have all hovered around the 75 minute mark, and it's almost always been a point of contention. But this time around, that truncated running time has become a fatal flaw, as this loose adaptation of a 2000 Justice League of America arc ends up sacrificing the entire dramatic crux of the story. All that's left, while not boring, is a rather route pure action tale with one large-scale set piece after another. And by holding off the story's key reveal until near the end of the picture, the film ends up being a giant set-up to...

The following review contains some spoilers. If you haven't seen the film already and don't want to be spoiled, then skip to the final paragraph. Justice League: Doom (2012) Rating: Starring: Kevin Conroy Tim Daley Susan Eisenberg Nathan Fillion Michael Rosenbaum Carl Lumbly Phil Morris Running Time: 1 hr. 17 min. Plot Synopsis: The Justice League consists of Earth's finest super heroes and protectors of humanity. But in the mind of The Dark Knight, it contains potentially the most dangerous people on the planet. Batman has compiled top-secret contingency plans should any of them go rogue. When these files are stolen by the Legion of Doom, a rising group of super villains, the Justice League embark on a collision course that will test the very fabric of its alliance. DC Animation almost always delivers with their projects. Their last effort, released in October, was an adaptation of Frank Miller’s Batman: Year One.

If you’ve been a fan of Warner Bros.’ direct-to-dvd DC Universe movies, you are no doubt eagerly awaiting the February 28th release of Justice League: Doom. ComicMix’s own Glenn Hauman and Mike Gold attended a press screening of the movie, along with the mandatory press conferences and post-game roundtable discussion. We decided to take a conversational approach to our preview – not quite a review, as we’re avoiding spoilers. Still, if you’re extraordinarily anal retentive (the fanboy/fangirl affliction), you might want to just look at the pictures.
Glenn: The story, and the universe, felt familiar – not just because we’ve known these characters forever, but because it was Dwayne McDuffie’s take on them, his Pov from Justice League and from Justice League Unlimited. One of those “you don’t realize how much you miss it until it’s gone” things.
Mike: DC’s animated universe came about organically,...
