"Death brings life." The Altitude has debuted one final violent red band trailer for Medieval, an action epic about a Czech warlord, based on a true story from history. We've already featured a few other trailers for this film before, about an iconic Czech fighter who's mission is to keep a woman safe. It's all in English and features an international cast of non-Czech actors. The film tells the story of fifteenth century Czech icon & warlord Jan Zizka, who defeated armies of the Teutonic Order and the Holy Roman Empire. Jan realizes that the fate of the Empire will be decided by his love for Lady Katherine and his fate doesn't lie in the hands of Kings, but in the hands of his own people. Ben Foster stars as Jan Zizka, with a massive ensemble: Sophie Lowe, Michael Caine, Til Schweiger, Roland Møller, Matthew Goode, William Moseley, Karel Roden, and Werner Daehn.

Exclusive: Andy Palmer has signed on to direct When They Come For Me as his next film, after wrapping production on the comedy The Re-Education of Molly Singer, starring Britt Robertson, Nico Santos, Jaime Pressley and Holland Roden.

The thriller from Citizen Skull Productions tells the story of six trapped locals during a lightning storm at Stonehenge that creates an electrical dome, where survival means fighting off ancient souls trying to take over their bodies.

German actors Werner Daehn and Adrienne McQueen are attached to star in the pic, which will shoot next year in Europe. Patricia Beauchamp, Alix Reeves and Adrienne McQueen wrote the script, with Liz Fuller, Matt Prater, Michael Roesch and Mark Myers set to produce for Citizen Skull.

Kino Lorber has debuted an official trailer for the Finnish indie drama Tom of Finland, a fictional feature film profile of the Finnish man who became known as "Tom of Finland". After returning home from WWII, Touko Laaksonen fled to America to escape homosexual persecution. There he established himself as one of the most influential and celebrated figures of 20th century gay culture. "Tom of Finland" drew erotic art of gay men, most often wearing leather outfits, which became a symbol of gay culture at the time. Pekka Strang plays "Tom of Finland", with a cast including Lauri Tilkanen, Jessica Grabowsky, Werner Daehn, and Kari Hietalahti. This premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, and played at numerous other film festivals. It looks like it has a strong lead performance at least. The Arabian desert is one of the most desolate places on Earth, a barren wasteland that stretches out like a body. The new World War I thriller “Game of Aces” finds itself in the desolate heart of that body and follows the story of a German double agent awaiting rescue. Captain Jackson Cove (Chris Klein), an American pilot flying for the British allied forces, has been tasked to recover Captain Josef von Zimmerman (Werner Daehn) and the information he’s carrying for the Allies. Joined by a young English nurse and German translator Eleanor Morgan (Victoria Summer), the two struggle to find Zimmerman, but when they do, he’s severely injured and suffering from amnesia. Pekka Strang (Producing Adults) will lead Dome Karukoski’s Tom Of Finland, which has also added Lauri Tilkanen, Jessica Grabowski and German Werner Daehn to its cast.

Aleksi Bardy wrote the screenplay for the film, which tells the life story of Touko Laaksonen, a man who would become known around the world by his nom de guerre “Tom Of Finland”.

Finnish production outfit Helsinki-Filmi is producing the project in co-production with Sweden’s Anagram Väst, Denmark’s Fridthjof Film and Germany’s Neutrinos Productions.

La-based Archstone Distributon has lined up two new titles for sale at Cannes and will be commencing talks on Out of the Burning Blue and Julia.

WWII action adventure Out of the Burning Blue stars Chris Klein [pictured], Victoria Summer and Werner Daehn.

Klein plays an American pilot who along with a female German-speaking interpreter ventures into the Arabian desert to extract a downed German pilot with top secret information.

Noir thriller Julia screens three times in the market and is styled as a revenge story about a traumatised woman who resorts to an unusual form of therapy.

Archstone’s Scott Martin and Michael Slifkin also represent sales title Gutshot Straight.

• John Goodman (Inside Llewyn Davis) has reportedly joined the cast of The Gambler. The veteran actor joins Mark Wahlberg, Brie Larson, and Jessica Lange in the Rupert Wyatt-directed remake of the 1974 James Caan pic that was loosely inspired by a Dostoyevsky novella. William Monahan, who won an Oscar for The Departed, wrote the script. According to the report, Goodman will play a loan shark in the film which likely won’t hit theaters till 2015. In addition to his role in the Coen brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis, Goodman can be seen next in George Clooney’s The Monuments Men, out Feb.
