  • Has the same name as the 17th-century British poet and the 20th- and 21st-century Dutch former professional cyclist (Thomas Dekker).
  • Shares the role of John Connor with Edward Furlong who, like him, is also a Star Trek veteran. Connor's father, Kyle Reese, has also been played by Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin. Dekker is the first actor to play John Connor in the "Terminator" franchise who was born after the first film was made.
