Alfred de Musset was a french romantic poet and dramatist. His autobiographical novel "The Confession of a Child of the Century" and his play "Lorenzaccio" are his most famous works. He is also known for his love affair with George Sand which considerably influenced his texts. He was elected to the French Academy in 1852.
