Spoiler Alert: Five seasons of witness wrangling, crime-stopping tales came to end on tonight’s series finale of In Plain Sight. While it’s gloomy to see it go just as the season hit its stride with Mary (Mary McCormack) managing her impromptu decision to keep little baby Norah and still being a kick-ass U.S. Marshall, the show’s swan song gave us so much to be happy about.

Albuquerque Witsec is staying put, Marshall (Frederick Welller) and Stan (Paul Ben-Victor) both got promoted, Mary made peace with the memories of her dad, and runaway bride Brandi (Nichole Hiltz) returned sober and wiser.

Actor Josh Hopkins was forced to drop out of a triathlon on Sunday after injuring himself in the final leg of the race.

The Cougar Town star entered into the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in Florida in a bid to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, but unfortunately all didn't go as well as planned.

According to the New York Post, Hopkins successfully mastered his 18-mile (29-kilometre) bike ride and half-mile (0.8-kilometre) swim, but he couldn't complete his four-mile (6.4-kilometre) run.

And fellow competitor and X-Men star James Marsden ran into a little trouble of his own - he got lost and veered off the cycling course.

A source tells the publication, "He took a wrong turn and biked an extra eight miles by mistake."

In the end, Wedding Crashers funnyman Geoff Stults and U.S. TV presenter Natalie Morales finished first in their respective male and female categories, with Marsden's co-ed team also snagging a top prize in their division.

Also partaking in the endurance competition was Burn Notice star Jeffrey Donovan, The Office's David Denman and Chilean actor Christian de la Fuente. The event raised a total of $401,422 (£250,889) for pediatric cancer research.

The final episode of Love Bites will air this Thursday, at 10/9c, thus completing the midseason series’ run… forever, an NBC spokesperson has told The Hollywood Reporter.

That NBC is pulling the plug on the romantic-comedy anthology series comes as almost no surprise, given the relentless crucible it endured to even make it on air, to then only muster the slightest of ratings. Cristián de la Fuente has signed up for a guest role on Syfy series Haven. The In Plain Sight star will appear in an upcoming episode of the second season as a character named Cornell. Described as "straitlaced" and "conservative", Cornell appears to be a mild-manner banker but is secretly leading a shocking double life. Last month we reported that WWE star Edge, aka Adam Copeland, will be guest starring on Syfy’s Haven, which returns for its second season in July 2011. Syfy has now announced that the very hunky Chilean-born Cristian de la Fuente (Private Practice, In Plain Sight) will also be guest starring on what I believe was the best new show of last summer. Syfy already announced earlier this year that former teen heartthrob Jason Priestley (Call Me Fitz, Beverly Hills 90210) will be featured in a four-episode arc and will also be directing an episode.

Jason Priestley will reportedly be playing “a handsome but anti-social marine biologist who must deal with an affliction most would consider a blessing” while de la Fuente will be playing “a straight-laced, conservative, mild-mannered banker who we discover is hiding a dark and shocking double life.” Shouldn’t that be “a handsome but straight-laced…”?
