Sébastien Vaniček's Evil Dead Burn is preparing to enter production in New Zealand, and Variety reports that Dune: Part Two's Souheila Yacoub is set to play the lead role.
Yacoub had a small, but memorable supporting part in Denis Villeneuve's sequel as Fremen warrior Shishakli, who sacrifices her life to give her people time to escape a Harkonnen attack.
Vaniček made his feature directorial debut with Vermin/Vermine, aka Infested, which focused on the residents of a rundown French apartment building attempting to survive when an army of venomous, rapidly reproducing spiders invade.
The movie garnered a lot of acclaim, and won Best Picture and Best Director in its North American premiere at Fantastic Fest. It was also invited to the Sitges Film Festival, where it earned a nomination for Best Motion Picture and won a Special Jury Prize.

Sébastien Vaniček, the up-and-coming French director who broke through in a major way with his feature debut “Vermines” (“Infested”), is getting ready to start filming the next Evil Dead installment in New Zealand with “Dune: Part Two” star Souheila Yacoub in the lead role.
Produced by longtime franchise producer Rob Tapert and executive produced by series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, the “Evil Dead” movie that Vaniček is directing is one of the two sequels in the works. The film will be distributed internationally by Warner Bros. Pictures and Sony, while Studiocanal will be distributing in France and the U.K.
In an interview with Variety, Vaniček, who co-wrote the screenplay with Florent Bernard, spoke about his creative vision for tackling the cult horror franchise and why he’s stoked to have Yacoub play the lead part. “I’ve long admired Souheila’s work in France,...

In the build-up to the release of Evil Dead Rise (read our review right Here) in 2023, Evil Dead franchise rights holders Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell, and Rob Tapert let it be known that they were already looking forward to producing more entries in the series, with Campbell revealing they were hoping to make a new sequel / spin-off every two or three years. Last year, they proved their commitment to this idea by hiring Sébastien Vaniček, who made his feature directorial debut on the French horror film Vermin, a.k.a. Infested, to write and direct a new installment in the franchise. And now the project has a cast member: Deadline reports that Souheila Yacoub, a Swiss former rhythmic gymnast who won the Miss Suisse Romande beauty pageant before getting her acting career started, has signed on to star in the film. We had previously heard that this movie would be...

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have said that they’d rather die along with their entire families than make another puppet movie like Team America: World Police. But, as Bruce Campbell knows well, the dead aren’t always free from puppetry.
In 2004, the creators of South Park released their feature-length satire of American politics and over-the-top action movies performed entirely by a massive cast of custom-made marionettes. Team America: World Police won no awards, broke no box office records and, thankfully for Parker and Stone, spawned no sequels, but the hilarious, unique and preposterously profane action-comedy-musical quickly became a cult-classic — and, not to mention, it contains some of the finest, catchiest and filthiest show tunes that Parker and Stone ever performed.
Team America: World Police also happened to be the single most grueling and labor-intensive feature film that any of the many esteemed and experienced artists involved in its hellish production ever experienced.

The early aughts launched a wave of horror remakes, but they’re especially known as an era full of American remakes of Japanese horror classics. One such adaptation is Takashi Shimizu‘s 2004 film, The Grudge, based on the Japanese film Ju-On: The Grudge, which Shimizu directed in 2002. It’s not often the original director is brought on for the American adaptation, so this is a fascinating film even for just that reason.
In the film, “An American nurse living and working in Tokyo is exposed to a mysterious supernatural curse, one that locks a person in a powerful rage before claiming their life and spreading to another victim.“
The Grudge stars horror icon Sarah Michelle Gellar, as well as Jason Behr (Roswell) and Clea DuVall (The Faculty). It was a massive hit upon release, raking in a reported $187.3 million on a $10 million budget. It was released when I was a kid,...

Bruce Campbell, known for his roles in Evil Dead and Bubba Ho-Tep, is ready to join the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds crew, even if he didn’t exactly know what the show was at first.
At the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds panel during Emerald City Comic Con 2025, Strange New Worlds star Anson Mount (Captain Pike) said he’d do anything to get Bruce Campbell to guest star on the show. The news made it to Campbell, who was at the event for a Dead by Dawn panel with Evil Dead co-star Jane Levy.
When Campbell heard about Mount’s request, he didn’t quite know what Strange New Worlds was. “When you say Strange New Worlds,” he asked, “You’re referring to a show that exists? We would probably have to start by letting me know what the show is. What is the show?”

Not so groovy news for fans of The Evil Dead. Nearly three years after its release to critical acclaim, Saber Interactive's asymmetrical survival horror title Evil Dead: The Game is being pulled from Steam, Sony, and other digital storefronts with no reason given behind the removal. The developer confirmed the news on Wednesday, thanking supporters and writing, "Anyone who has purchased the game will still be able to play it as we plan to keep our servers online for everyone.” Since the axing of sales, Bruce Campbell, who reprized his role as Ash Williams for the game, has reacted to the adaptation's end, writing, "Dead end."
Evil Dead: The Game was notable for a few reasons. For Campbell, it marked his first time properly stepping back into the shoes of his Deadite-slaying hero since the end of Ash vs Evil Dead in 2018. It wasn't just him, either, as the...

Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead has a gripping poster, featuring a beautiful girl rising out of an open grave on a dark, foggy night with a rickety wooden cross behind her. A hairy, monstrous arm is wrapped around her neck, pulling her back into the open grave, as her arm beseeches for help that will never come. There’s just one problem with the poster—that mysterious girl and that scene Aren’T in the film.
Meet Bridget Hoffman, the girl who is (and isn’t) in Sam Raimi’s classic Evil Dead franchise!
“Yes, that’s me,” actress Bridget Hoffman smiles, playfully recreating her pose, with her right hand in the air and her left arm wrapped around her own neck.
“I wound up on the poster for The Evil Dead even though I’m not in it!” she said. “I’m from Michigan. I went to Michigan State University...

The ’90s have always been a tricky decade to define for horror, offering everything from cable and physical home releases to big budget horror. On the latter front, horror experimented with grand period pieces like Interview with the Vampire and Bram Stoker’s Dracula as much as it did with spectacle driven, action-heavy creature features.
The decade delivered no shortage of memorable monster movies that emphasized creature FX and entertainment, from theatrical releases to home video offerings.
This week’s streaming picks are dedicated to ’90s monster movies that delivered high-energy, fun, and inventive monster designs. Because it’s Monday, we can use more horror fun.

The 80s were a time when country music and a type of hero born of the good ol boy class that came into his own. This could be seen in shows like The Dukes of Hazzard, Bj and The Bear, as well as movies like Any Which Way But Loose and Smokey and the Bandit. They were a time of what would be considered fun action films and TV. Again, this was personified in shows where usually no one got seriously hurt, like The A-Team. The bad guys went to the same shooting school as your friendly neighborhood Stormtroopers. But, one TV show that would personify this “nobody better get hurt” adventure series was The Fall Guy.
The series was designed as a vehicle for star Lee Majors, who had become a household name thanks to The Six Million Dollar Man, but struggled to find a worthy follow-up. This would be it,...

WB has had a rough go of it recently. The company isn’t going under, of course, but they’ve had some pretty big flops during 2024 and 2025. In spite of all that, David Zaslav and quite a few other executives are getting big raises.
Per Variety, Zaslav’s pay package is now at $51.9 million dollars which is about a four percent increase from the previous year. A four percent raise doesn’t seem like a lot, but when you make $49.7 million dollars, which was Zaslav’s total pay package in 2023, four percent amounts to millions of dollars.
From Variety, “Zaslav had a 2023 pay package worth $49.7 million, up 26.5% from the year prior. Zaslav’s compensation totaled $39.3 million in 2022, after he received an astonishing $246.6 million (which included $203 million in stock-option grants) in 2021.
For 2024, Zaslav’s base salary was $3 million. He received stock awards worth $23.1 million, bonus compensation of $23.9 million and “all other” compensation of $1.9 million.

In the nineties, Hollywood still hadn’t quite figured out how to make superhero movies. Sure, the Batman films were successful, but they were divisive among comic book fans, especially once the Joel Schumacher films, with their bat nipples, hit theaters. With big superhero properties mostly tied up in legal limbo, Hollywood studios started looking at the pulp heroes of the thirties, hoping to make their next huge superhero franchise. The Phantom, which came out in 1996, was one such film.
On the surface, this idea makes a certain amount of sense. The Indiana Jones movies were highly inspired by pulp novels and broke box office records. The first attempt to make this kind of movie was Universal’s The Shadow in 1994, but it didn’t do as well as expected. Still, Paramount had high hopes for The Phantom, which would be based on Lee Falk’s comic book strip. To...

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav received a 2024 compensation package worth $51.9 million, compared with $49.7 million in 2023 and $39.3 million in 2022 when the Discovery-WarnerMedia merger closed.
The entertainment conglomerate disclosed latest pay details for its top executives in a regulatory filing on Friday.
Zaslav’s compensation increase of 4 percent was driven by higher non-equity incentive plan pay, up from $22.0 million to $23.9 million, and slightly higher stock awards ($23.1 million) and “other” compensation ($1.9 million).
Earlier in the morning, Wbd had unveiled that John Malone would move to the role of chair emeritus, staying “actively involved.”
Zaslav’s 2023 rise in compensation had been due in part to a decision by Wbd to change its executive compensation plan to focus on cash flow, rather than its stock price. In 2023, Wbd’s free cash flow rose in part due to the Hollywood strikes, which shut down productions for months.

Invincible Season 3 concluded a few weeks ago with one of the highest-rated episodes of TV ever, and it’s already been confirmed that Season 4 will hit Prime Video sometime this year. Mark (Steven Yeun) faced some of his toughest challenges in Invincible Season 3, including his fight against Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who is largely regarded as the second-strongest Viltrumite in the entire army, second only to Grand Regent Thragg. It’s also been confirmed that Thragg will finally make his Invincible debut in Season 4, but there’s another character set to return who could give even the strongest Viltrumites a run for their money. During a recent interview with ScreenRant, Invincible co-showrunner Simon Racioppa teased the return of Battle Beast in Invincible Season 4 while also revealing what his intentions might be:

The isolation of the Wild West, the ever-present danger of starvation, unforgiving terrain, and the rougher way of life in period settings make westerns well suited to the horror genre. Yet it’s not often that the two genres cross paths; the horror western is a niche subgenre compared to horror’s other genre pairings, like the horror-comedy.
Even the horror western’s more well known entries, like Near Dark or Ravenous, don’t appear on streaming often. Luckily, there are plenty of other entries in the horror western category on streaming, some overlooked, that capture the tension, isolation, and danger of the wild frontier.
Here’s where to stream five of them this week.

Robert Trebor, who portrayed the serial killer known as the Son of Sam in a CBS telefilm and the scheming merchant Salmoneus on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and its sister series, Xena: Warrior Princess, has died. He was 71.
Trebor died March 11 at Los Angeles Medical Center of sepsis, his wife, Deirdre Hennings, told The Hollywood Reporter. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2012 and had a stem-cell transplant a year later, she said.
On the big screen, the clever character actor worked in films including John Frankenheimer’s 52 Pickup (1986), Susan Seidelman’s Making Mr. Right (1987), Oliver Stone’s Talk Radio (1988) and the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar (2016), for which he played a movie producer in his final onscreen role.

I’m a sucker for a good vampire film, whether it features a sexy vampire like Bram Stoker’s Dracula or a nasty one like 30 Days of Night. But one of my personal favorite tales about bloodsuckers is an underrated 2010 release by Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig titled Daybreakers. Boasting an all-star cast and an interesting twist on vampire lore, it didn’t make waves upon initial release. And yet, I still find myself banging the proverbial drum for this film, especially today, because the movie is now streaming for free on Vizio WatchFree+.
Daybreakers takes place in 2019 (ten years in the future upon the film’s initial release) where a plague has transformed a majority of the human population into vampires. But without any humans from which to feed, the vampires are now facing a food crisis. Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a hematologist working on creating a blood substitute to save humanity.

Bubba Ho-Tep is a silly good time. It’s an unorthodox take on genre cinema that features a great showing from Bruce Campbell as an aging, undead Elvis. I like the film (and Campbell) so much that I once dedicated an installment of the Dread Central newsletter, The Harbinger, to the Don Coscarelli-directed effort. Though the picture has its fans, I think it’s actually a bit underrated. However, the feature has at least one high-profile fan. During a recent look at Mike Flanagan’s Letterbox profile, I learned that the Absentia director is also a die-hard Bubba Ho-Tep enthusiast.
That’s right; Flanagan added the flick to a Letterboxd list chronicling his favorite horror movies. Nice work, Mike.
The setup for this Mike Flanagan-approved horror-comedy goes like this:
After falling into a lengthy coma following a freak accident involving hip gyration, an aged Elvis Presley (Campbell) wakes up...

Invincible capped off yet another strong season with one of the highest-rated episodes of TV ever, largely due to Mark’s (Steven Yeun) battle with Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). However, there are plenty of other aspects of the Invincible Season 3 finale that had fans buzzing, including the post-credits scene, which features the return of Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown). After drawing a pentagram on the floor and summoning what appears to be Satan, Darkblood tells him he has the means to restore him to the infernal throne using a surface-dweller of great power the likes that the planet has never seen. Fans have speculated about whether he’s talking about Mark, Conquest, or even Nolan (J.K. Simmons), and during a recent interview with ScreenRant, Invincible’s Robert Kirkman and Simon Racioppa shed some light on the upcoming Hell storyline:
Robert is a huge part of the show, and in a lot of cases,...

Studies suggest that human laughter might have evolved as a way of communicating that a perceived source of danger is actually harmless. That’s why it makes sense that horror comedies were invented almost immediately after actual horror films, as there’s no better way of dealing with fear than laughing at media-induced collective nightmares.
This ancient custom even applies to more recent and immersive sub-genres, as not even the visceral scares of Found Footage movies are immune to the occasional dose of dark humor. With that in mind, we’ve decided to come up with a list recommending six Found Footage horror-comedies for your viewing pleasure. After all, not every Pov horror flick needs to be an ultra serious compilation of glitches and jump-scares.

Name a more iconic duo than John Carpenter and Kurt Russell. Sure, they may not have collaborated on a film in decades, but back in the '80s, they were a lethal pairing, especially when it came to stylish genre films. In total, the pair made five movies together between 1979 and 1996. And today, we're going to rank them.
While Carpenter first gained fame as a horror auteur (the genre for which he's still best known today), he's directed all sorts of movies over the years, and his collaborations with Russell are great examples of that. Only one of the duo's films is a horror flick, while the others span the realms of biopic, science fiction, action-adventure, and comedy. It's an eclectic mix, to be sure, but also a solid one.
Of course, we're splitting hairs a bit on some of these (though we all know what the best one is...

The horror genre tends to have some of the most iconic movie posters ever: The Exorcist, Halloween, Alien, the list goes on. And certainly one in the discussion is The Evil Dead, which sees Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss) being pulled into the ground by an undead hand. So what’s the backstory on this incredible art? Bruce Campbell has the entire history.
As you know, we here at JoBlo.com love movie artwork, so when Campbell took to social media to address a photo shoot from The Evil Dead that someone posted, we were ecstatic to get more information on how it came about and how it turned into the famous poster. As Campbell wrote, “This pix was taken in a chilly Ferndale, Michigan warehouse studio, early 80s, by old pal Mike Ditz because we had no publicity shots for our first flick, Evil Dead. Anyone who’s seen John Carpenter’s 1996 sequel “Escape From L.A.” knows that, in the past, the filmmaker’s feelings about the City of Angels have been mixed, to put it mildly. They’re epitomized by a scene in which Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) is enjoying a brief moment of relative peace in the earthquake-ravaged ruins of the city, after almost having his body parted out by the Surgeon General of Beverly Hills (Bruce Campbell), when his running mate of the moment (Valeria Golino) looks at him and observes, “Once you figure out this place, it’s really not so bad.” She is immediately shot in the back..
While Carpenter has occasionally been metaphorically wounded by the slings, arrows and bullets of the city’s entertainment-industrial complex, he’s managed to survive. And in the lead-up to receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 3, he’s...

Kneel before Grand Regent Thragg, coming soon to Invincible.
"No new episode today, so how about an everything we know about Season 4 so far post?" the Invincible Instagram page wrote the week after its season finale premiered, confirming that season 4 will return next year. The season 3 finale of Invincible hit last Thursday, and with no new episode today, Prime Video and creator Robert Kirkman are already teasing what fans can expect from the officially in-development fourth season.
Mark Grayson very nearly met his end at the hands of the bloodthirsty (even for a Viltrumite) villain known as Conquest, but he's going to come up against an even tougher opponent in season 4: Grand Regent Thragg.
There are a number of incredibly powerful characters in the world of Invincible, but a lot of fans would consider Thragg to be at least among the most formidable. We don't know who will voice the character in the show, but Kirkman has confirmed that he has been cast.
"I mean, it would certainly be weird if [Thragg] didn't show up in the show. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. It's so tough. Here's what I'll say: he's been cast,...

The third season of Invincible, Prime Video's adaptation of Robert Kirkman's expansive superhero comic, wrapped up the other week in rather spectacular fashion. Fans had to wait an eternity between seasons 1 of the 2, but Kirkman and company have promised quicker turnarounds going forward. Posting on X today, they promised that season 4 is coming "sometime in 2026."

The horror genre possibly harbors the most valuable props you can think of. Freddy's glove, Leatherface's chainsaw and, why not, the cup used by the lady in Get Out to hypnotize Chris. Most horror movies have a specific object that fans would like to own. And as it turns out, you can actually buy one of horror's most precious objects:Evil Dead's Necronomicon, a.k.a. the Book of the Dead, which is activated upon reciting some incantations to summon the visciously playful and wicked demons from Sam Raimi's franchise.

That aphorism, credited to everyone from Ralph Waldo Emerson to Omar on “The Wire,” could be one of the unspoken Cosa Nostra credos in “The Alto Knights,” a dense yet fiercely compelling gathering of some of the heaviest hitters in the contemporary gangster genre: “Goodfellas” screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi, “Bugsy” director Barry Levinson and acting icon Robert De Niro in a dual role. That latter stunt makes for a novel hook — one-upping the Pacino-De Niro sit-down in “Heat” by serving up double De Niro as underworld friends-turned-rivals Frank Costello and Vito Genovese, both of whom he embodies beneath heavy makeup.
The movie abruptly kicks off in 1959, with a botched execution in the lobby of Frank’s New York apartment building — a tense, effective scene that finds Levinson operating like the old pro. The rest is narrated from the distant future,...

Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for the Invincible Season 3 finale.Invincibleis going to hell in future episodes — literally. In the closing moments of Season 3's finale, "I'd Thought You'd Never Shut Up," viewers are reunited with a character that hasn't been seen since Season 1: Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown). The infernal investigator tells a mysterious figure, voiced by Evil Dead's Bruce Campbell, that he plans to restore him to his former glory by ensnaring someone with a 'blackened heart'. It's an ominous way to close out the season, especially since this is a storyline that never made it to the original Invincible comics. It also means that Invincible could bring back another character who briefly showed up in Season 3: Gary Hampton, the Astounding Wolf-Man.

Bruce Campbell first gained attention in the horror world when he starred as Ash Williams in the cult classic The Evil Dead in 1981. While the last two Evil Dead projects didn't feature Campbell on center stage, the actor has remained the face of the iconic horror franchise that Sam Raimi created. And though he has been in a number of movies and television shows since then, he'd still want to revisit the iconic character that helped shape him into the actor he is today. However, though the actor expressed his willingness to return to the Evil Dead realm, it is something he's only willing to do under one (understandable) condition.

Director Sam Raimi and actor Bruce Campbell have worked on four "Evil Dead" film and TV projects together. I needn't reiterate "The Evil Dead" and "Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn," as the cultists know them well. However, something happened after Raimi and Campbell made "Army of Darkness" in 1992, completing Ash's arc in the process. That film was distributed by Universal, which positioned it to gain a crossover audience. Sadly, though, it didn't do well at the box office, but became a massive cult hit. It was deeply beloved by many, eventually attaining the same canonized status as its immediate forebear.
In his autobiography "If Chins Could Kill," Campbell laid out the difference between a "cult film" and a "blockbuster." A blockbuster is a million people seeing a film 10 times, and a cult film is 10 people seeing a film a million times.

One can indeed watch each installment in Sam Raimi's celebrated "Evil Dead" franchise in the order of their release, but it might not help keep the continuity clear. The actual narrative throughline of the "Evil Dead" movies is a little hazy throughout, and each new movie might serve as a soft reboot of the one that came before it. The ending of one movie doesn't clearly link to the next, and the main character of Ash (Bruce Campbell) doesn't seem to learn or grow from his experiences. Indeed, Ash only appears to get dumber and more selfish with every outing. The already-weak continuity then becomes especially messy when one starts factoring in director's edits and alternate endings that only sort of count toward the franchise's central canon. One can also, if they were ambitious, include short films that Sam Raimi made when he was a teenager. He is an iconoclast.

If you thought the biggest surprise of Invincible Season 3 was how much damage Mark Grayson could take before his bones just gave up, think again. The post-credits scene of the finale has fans spiraling into wild theories, rewatching episodes for clues, and, let’s be honest, probably screaming into their pillows.
Why? Because Damien Darkblood is back, and he’s in Hell. Not only that, but he’s having a casual chat with Satan himself about possibly dragging Mark down with him.

This was not in the comics. This was never in the comics. And the best part? It turns Invincible into something more than just a faithful adaptation, it’s now a playground where even longtime fans have no idea what’s coming next. So, let’s dive into this demon-sized curveball and see what the mastermind himself, Robert Kirkman, had to say about it.

The season 3 finale of Invincible is now streaming on Prime Video, and following one of the most hellacious battles we've seen since the animated series premiered back in 2021, we took a trip to literal Hell for a post-credits scene that not even fans of the comic will have been expecting.
In the stinger, demonic detective Damien Darkblood (Clancy Brown) - who we haven't seen since Cecil banished him back in the first season - summons a more powerful demon voiced by Evil Dead legend Bruce Campbell, and tells him about a "surface dweller" who may be able to restore his master to his former glory.
This sets up a season 4 storyline that didn't play out on the page, and could potentially see Mark Grayson journey to Hell to battle the Devil himself.

With another season of Invincible coming to an end, fans of Amazon’s adult animated superhero drama correctly guessed that the long-awaited adaptation of the “Invincible War” arc would be a bloodbath. Creator Robert Kirkman gave us the long-awaited debut of The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the war-torn Viltrumite known as Conquest in the penultimate episode, and with Twd alumni Steven Yeun voicing the titular Invincible, we got a bloody showdown worthy of their respective characters (Negan and Glenn) in AMC’s hit zombie series.
While Mark Grayson comes out of his Conquest clash with some serious emotional and physical scars, a terrific trio of Invincible, Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs) and Oliver Grayson (Christian Convery) put Conquest firmly in his place. A last-minute tease suggests this isn’t the last we’ll see of Conquest, and even though those who've read the comics knew this was likely the case,...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains major spoilers for the Season 3 finale of “Invincible,” now streaming on Prime Video, and minor spoilers for the “Invincible” comics.
Invincible can’t catch a break.
In the aftermath of the Invincible War, where Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) had to fight evil versions of himself from different realities as they caused massive destruction on Earth, here comes Conquest: a grizzled, battle-hardened Viltrumite ready to fight.
Conquest arrives in the Season 3 finale because Mark hasn’t prepared Earth for a Viltrumite takeover, and now he must pay the price. What follows is the most devastating, gruesome fight since the Invincible vs. Omni-Man battle at the end of Season 1. Conquest is one of the most fearsome and unhinged villains in the “Invincible” universe — and it marks a fun “Walking Dead” reunion as Yeun, who starred as Glenn in the zombie series, faces off against Conquest voice actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan,...

Robert Kirkman, the creator of Invincible, recently shared an exciting detail about Season 4. He revealed that Mark Grayson might take on a new enemy—the Devil himself. This storyline was never used in the original comics, but Kirkman thinks now might be the perfect time to explore it.
Mark has faced many powerful enemies before, from his own father, Omni-Man, to the brutal Viltrumite warrior, Conquest. But a battle in hell against a demonic enemy could be something completely different. Kirkman explained that most superhero stories eventually have a moment where the hero travels to hell and fights the Devil. However, he never had the chance to include that in Invincible—until now.
In the post-credits scene of the Season 3 finale, detective Damien Darkblood, who was banished to hell in Season 1, is seen speaking with a mysterious demon. This character, voiced by Bruce Campbell, hints at summoning a powerful being to the underworld.
