“Zoey 102” is finally here, bringing with it plenty of nostalgia and cringeworthy comedy for fans new and old to enjoy.
The Paramount+ movie, a long-gestating sequel of the Nickelodeon hit series “Zoey 101,” features the return of star Jamie Lynn Spears and most of the original cast members for a follow-up adventure along the Pacific Coast Highway. Set more than a decade since the events of the final season, “Zoey 102” follows the title character (Spears) as she juggles her busy career as a producer on a “Love Island”-style reality show and maid of honor duties for her best friends Quinn (Erin Sanders) and Logan’s (Matthew Underwood) wedding.
Directed by Nancy Hower and written by Monica Sherer and Madeline Whitby, the film takes a campy approach to catching up with the crew that first met attending Malibu’s Pacific Coast Academy.

Paramount+'s highly-anticipated "Zoey 101" spinoff film, "Zoey 102," hit the streamer on July 27, and it features most of the original show's cast, including Jamie Lynn Spears. The new movie's plot sees Zoey confront the state of her life (and love) as an adult when she reunites with her Pacific Coast Academy crew at her friends Quinn and Logan's over-the-top wedding.
However, three of the show's main characters are noticeably missing from the reunion festivities. Victoria Justice, who played Zoey's friend Lola; Alexa Nikolas, who played Nicole Bristow for the first two seasons; and Paul Butcher, who portrayed Zoey's little brother, Dustin Brooks. The three original series staples will not be seen in the film for their own reasons.
Find out everything we know about why Victoria Justice, Alexa Nikolas, and Paul Butcher aren't in "Zoey 102."

Paul Butcher hasn’t exactly kept his feelings about his time on “Zoey 101” secret from the world. He’s made something of a thing out of popping up online to shade his former co-star Jamie Lynn Spears and all but say he wants nothing to do with any revival.
Yes, this involves lip syncing a scene from “The Devil Wears Prada” that has recently become a trend TikTok. Butcher posted a video of him lip syncing the moment where Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) says “What if I don’t want to live the way you live” and gets immediately scolded by Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) with “Oh don’t be ridiculous Andrea, Everyone wants this.”
So it probably won’t shock you to learn he has feelings about the just-announced movie sequel to the 2000s Nickelodeon show. Shady, Prada-y feelings.

A movie sequel to “Zoey 101,” the 2005 Nickelodeon series starring Jamie Lynn Spears, is coming to Paramount+.
The streamer announced the film, tentatively titled “Zoey 102,” on Thursday. The movie, which will premiere on Paramount+ later this year, stars Spears and several former cast members of the series, including Erin Sanders, Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Christopher Massey, Abby Wilde, and Jack Salvatore.
The original series, created and executive produced by Dan Schneider, aired for four seasons from 2005 to 2008 and focused on Zoey, a middle schooler who attends boarding school at the fictional Pacific Coast Academy in Southern California. The film will focus on a reunion between Zoey and her friends at a wedding.
Although “Zoey 101” was popular during its original run, receiving an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Children’s Programming for its first season, accusations about on-set drama during the series’ production have made the show’s revival a dicier proposition.

Being a young person in the entertainment industry can be very challenging. Time and time again, we’ve watched child stars fade away from the entertainment industry – whether it be due to poor choice or simply wanting to live a ‘normal’ life. If anyone knows about the stress that comes with being a child star, it’s Paul Butcher. Paul’s acting career started when he was just in elementary school and was a major star before he even reached his teenage years. Paul is most well known for playing Dustin Brooks in the Nickelodeon series, Zoey 101. After the series ended

One of Jamie Lynn's co-stars, Paul Butcher, who played her little brother Dustin on the show, posted a selfie on Instagram with the hashtag #FreeBritney. He also wrote in the caption, "It breaks my heart hearing what Britney had to say and hearing what she's been through. Because we cannot come down to the coast, get together and have a few laughs, ahem 2020. Because along with It's A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story, Die Hard has become an American holiday traditional Christmas movie. Because designer Paul Butcher has simply knocked things out of the ballpark here with this hand-rendered take on such a, paradoxically, memorable and overlooked scene from the 1988 action classic. The devil is certainly in the details: The 'corporate fluorescent' colour palette, the graffiti title card, with credit block in perspective on the ceramic tiles. The paper towels and blood soaked construction blueprints and detritus. This is particularly so in a movie with so much explosions, fire and mayhem. To take a quieter scene, even one as wince-worthy...

The cast of Zoey 101 is back together again! For an upcoming episode of Nickelodeon's All That reboot, the stars of the hit show - Paul Butcher, Sean Flynn, Kristin Herrera, Chris Massey, Erin Sanders, and Matthew Underwood - reunite for a sketch. Of course, it wouldn't be a Zoey 101 reunion without Zoey herself, Jamie Lynn Spears. In a sneak peek of the episode, Spears plays herself and her old All That character Thelma Stump.
Zoey 101 first premiered on Nickelodeon in 2005 and ran for four seasons before its cancellation in 2007. In July 2019, the cast sparked reunion rumors when they got together for a special dinner, and they confirmed the reunion later that year when they snapped a photo on the All That set. We've definitely missed the students of Pacific Coast Academy! Now if only Nickelodeon would make the show streamable on Netflix. Watch the nostalgic clip...

Although we still have no confirmation of a long-rumored Zoey 101 reboot, the cast of the show are getting together for another nostalgic reason: a new version of All That's sketch "Thelma Stump." Spears shared a photo on Thursday smiling alongside her former Zoey 101 cast members Paul Butcher, Sean Flynn, Kristin Herrera, Chris Massey, Erin Sanders, and Matthew Underwood on set at Nickelodeon. The all-new "Thelma Stump" episode will air in 2020, according to People.
To refresh your memory, Spears starred in the hilarious reoccurring sketch in the early 2000s as a stubborn bodyguard in her 80s named Thelma Stump who gave All That cast members a hard time. She'd often demand to see their pass if they wanted to access the set, and she was typically found in a rocking...

Oh brother! Anyone else down for another reminder that you are getting old? Ok good, because Zoey's (Jamie Lynn Spears) little brother Dustin (Paul Butcher) from the Nickelodeon hit series Zoey 101? He's all grown-up. And pretty good-looking. Which is making us feel all kinds of conflicted and weird. Ok, calm down, he's 21 years old now. We're allowed to say his face doesn't offend our eyes. “Reeker” is an interesting take on a slasher film. The decade of the slasher has long past so most films that take on that sub-genre are repetitions of previous movies that many of us have long watched. I was impressed that “Reeker” took a formula that has been beaten to death and added a nice twist to it.
“Reeker” centers on a bunch of young adults stranded in a desert rest stop only to be soon attacked by a mysterious creature while they are all having visions.
