  • Trivia
Paul Busch was the grandson of Johanna Gadski, a famous German soprano who sang at the Metropolitan Opera House from 1900 until 1917. His mother, Charlotte Tauscher Busch, was born in Berlin on August 31, 1893 to Gadski and her husband, Captain Hans Tauscher. She married Ernest Busch (a German grand-nephew of American entrepreneur Adolphus Busch of St. Louis, Missouri) on June 12, 1923. The marriage prevented her from becoming a naturalized United States citizen.
