Older brother of Javier Bardem and Mónica Bardem.

Nephew of director Juan Antonio Bardem.

He has also a literary career, having published several books. "Durango Perdido", a story between the making off of the crazy movie Perdita Durango (1997) and a book of traveling across Mexico and USA; "Muertes Ejemplares", which won a special mention of the jury in the Premio Nadal 1999; "Buziana o el Peso del alma", which won the Destino Guion award in 2002; and "La Bardem", a biography of his mother, actress Pilar Bardem. He finished a new novel, "Alacran enamorado".
