Rather than continuing as individual series, the shows, which are based in India and Italy, respectively, will be woven into the mothership series’ upcoming second season, which will premiere in the second quarter of 2026.

Per its logline, Season 2 of “Citadel” will take place one month after the events of Season 1, following the spies underground as they’re being hunted by Manticore agents around the world. They’re pulled out of hiding to join forces with a new team of unconventional spies when Manticore’s Brazilian billionaire Paulo Braga threatens to unleash a cataclysmic piece of technology, built by Citadel’s own Bernard Orlick, into the world.

THR reports that Citadel season 2 has been delayed. Not only that, but the various spinoff series are being put on hold. This is just the latest in a long line of issues for Amazon MGM’s hugely expensive spy series. Extensive reshoots of the first season made it one of the most expensive TV shows of all time, with the six episodes reportedly costing $300 million. Yikes.

Production on Citadel season 2 wrapped up last November. The new season was originally planned to debut in fall 2025, but that’s been pushed back to spring 2026. Sources tell THR that Amazon MGM is “unhappy with what they have seen so far of season two.” It seems clear that the second season is having issues similar to the first, which went through some major creative turmoil.

Thanks to Silverman getting the Scooby-Doo Franchise off the ground, fans have enjoyed solving mysteries for 55 years. The franchise isn't stopping anytime soon, as Variety reported the exciting Netflix live-action series news in March. The eight-episode series will focus on the origins of the Mystery Inc. gang, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Freddy, and their first meeting with the loveable pooch of the title, who comes into their lives after witnessing a supernatural murder.

It’s true, there are plans for a live-action series of Scooby-Doo. Netflix has just announced that a brand new series has been given the green light. We’ll be seeing Shaggy, Scooby-Doo, and all the gang on our screens again, but not as animated cartoons. This will be the first-ever series of the classic cartoon show to be made as a live-action TV series.

John Cena didn’t have a great year at the movies in 2024. His films like Ricky Stanicky and Jackpot! were nothing more than time-killers. However, he had a couple of interesting cameo appearances, notably in the third season of The Bear and the 36th season of The Simpsons. Hopefully, he is about to change that with his upcoming films.

We’re going to see Cena more in WWE instead of the movies this year, as he has announced his retirement from professional wrestling after 2025. However, fans will eventually get to see him in some action-packed and comedy films.

His movie slate ranges from the action-comedy film Heads of State to the long-gestating The Janson Directive. He will also reprise his DC anti-hero role in the second season of James Gunn’s Peacemaker. Cena is set to appear in the following movies next.

The pickup comes a couple days before the show concludes its third season, with its finale scheduled for Sunday. From has been a hit out of the gate for MGM+. The sci-fi drama is the most viewed series in the history of the premium network, and has a 96 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

Veteran film producer Spencer Ela has joined Miramax’s Motion Picture Group as a senior vp.

He most recently worked at The Safran Company as a vp under DC Studios co-chair Peter Safran and producer John Rickard.

Ela arrives at Miramax months after Jonathan Glickman became CEO of the film and TV studio, replacing former CEO Bill Block, who departed last year after a six-year run.
