Robert Joseph Aguilar Jr. was born on February 16, 1974, in Calexico, California. He is best known for his award winning work as a writer, director and actor. He grew up in San Diego, California, and started his obsession for entertainment as part of the drama club at Bonita Vista High School, in Chula Vista, California. Robert went on to graduate from the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, and to study screenwriting and directing at the Hollywood Film Institute.
As a life-long seeker of knowledge, Robert went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Pacific Coast University School of Law, and Masters of Liberal Arts in Journalism, and a Ph.D. in Theology.
Robert is the great-nephew of Danny Villanueva. A trail blazing professional athlete and broadcaster, news director and broadcasting executive, Villanueva was a co-founder of Univision, a major Spanish-language television network in the United States.
