The Iconic Role James Spader Called ‘‘Appalling’’ Is How I Fell in Love With Legal Dramas
Image
James Spader once called his iconic role “appalling,” and frankly speaking, I do get it. But that very role is how I fell headfirst into legal dramas. There’s something magnetic about characters who’re complicated, flawed, and unapologetically intense.

Spader’s portrayal was a solid ride through sharp wit, moral gray zones, and courtroom drama. Sure, it wasn’t your typical hero story, but that’s what hooked me. Legal dramas don’t just show law; they expose the messy, chaotic humanity behind it. And that’s why I’m obsessed.

Why James Spader’s “appalling” Alan Shore is the unpredictable heart of The Practice James Spader and William Shatner in The Practice | Credits: ABC

James Spader calling his iconic role “appalling” is honestly the best kind of honesty, and that’s exactly why I fell in love with legal dramas in the first place. Alan Shore isn’t that typical,...

They’re successful, and Gabi even gives Lena a chance to escape, but the other woman chases after her, right to where the police are waiting to arrest her. The series then ends with Trent (Brett Dalton) called to Sir’s cell, where Gabi’s kidnapper is seemingly laying there, bleeding, just as Gabi, during a press conference, shocks everyone. “A smart and courageous...

NBC’s Surprise Cancellation of ‘Found’ Sees Fans Rally to Rescue Show
Image
As several network shows tied off their seasonal runs, it meant that networks had to make some tough decisions regarding which shows stayed on and which got the ax. NBC is no different. The network axed several shows, including Night Court and the legal drama, Suits LA, and somewhat surprisingly, the procedural thriller,Found, was also cancelled. The show has two episodes left, with no heads up from the network, the cancellation decision has caused some uproar. A full-throttle campaign has been launched by fans, cast members, and even industry players to see the show rescued by other platforms and given another lease of life.

The first season premiered in 2023 with a strong premiere that drew 10.5 million viewers across platforms. Found introduced audiences to Gabi (Shanola Hampton), a professional at Mosely and Associates, a firm dedicated to finding missing people especially the numerous number that fall through the cracks of the criminal justice system.

‘Found’s Parker Queenan Says Jamie Being Kidnapped Again ‘Motivates Him Toward Taking Action’
Image
As Shanola Hampton told TV Insider, Found “will give you trauma, and then they’ve got to retraumatize you with the trauma.” Such is the case for Margaret’s (Kelli Williams) son Jamie (Parker Queenan), who was just reunited with his family — he’d been taken as a child and told his mother didn’t want him — only for (what is now) the penultimate episode of the series to end with Lena (Danielle Savre), Sir’s (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) sister, kidnapping him. “It’s a bit different this time around because this one wasn’t emotional manipulation, it was a very sort of calculated, specific kidnapping of a specific person who’s not a child anymore,” Queenan tells TV Insider. “And so the playing field is a little bit different than it used to be, and he’s got a lot of feelings toward ...

NBC's TV Show Canceling Spree Continues as Crime Drama Series Gets the Axe After 2 Seasons
Image
The crime-drama Found, which premiered on NBC in 2023, won’t be getting a third season on the network. Per Deadline, the series led by Shameless alum Shanola Hampton has been canceled. However, hope is not lost yet for fans of Found as the series may be shopped around by its lead studio, Warner Bros. Television.

News of the series’ cancellation comes ahead of its May 15 Season 2 finale, which will now serve as the end to the show. The finale has already been teased as a confrontation between Hampton’s Gabi Mosley and Sir’s (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) sister Lena, played by Danielle Savre.

Found is NBC’s latest victim in the network’s cutback on entertainment programming, which aims to accommodate 180 primetime hours of NBA basketball next season. NBCUniversal inked a $2.5 billion deal with the NBA to air games next season.

Could ‘Found’ Be Saved After Cancellation?
Image
Found is lost, but its cancellation at NBC might not be the end of the story. Warner Bros. Television is reportedly seeking a new home for the procedural drama. As Variety reported Found’s cancellation on Friday, May 9, the publication cited an individual “with knowledge of the situation” who said Warner Bros. Television, which produced the show alongside Universal Television, intends to shop the show to other outlets. Deadline, meanwhile, reported speculation that Wbtv is putting Found on the market. Found starred Shanola Hampton as public relations specialist Gabi Mosely, who leads a crisis management team searching for overlooked missing individuals. But one missing individual is Hugh “Sir” Evans (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Gabi’s childhood kidnapper, whom she had imprisoned in her basement. In the Season 1 finale, Sir escaped and went from Gabi’s biggest secret to her biggest threat. Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, and Karan Oberoi costarred in the series,...

NBC Cancels Found Ahead Of The Season 2 Finale
Image
Foundhas been cancelled by NBC after just two seasons. It's been a difficult day for viewers of the network's primetime lineup, as several dramas and comedies have been axed from the network in just a matter of hours. Night Court, Lopez vs. Lopez, and Suits: LA have all been cancelled. Two other series, which seemed to have a promising chance to be renewed, have arrived at the end of the road.

Deadline has confirmed that the missing persons' crime drama Found has been cancelled by NBC. Warner Bros. Television, which produces the Shanola Hampton-led show, may consider finding a new home for the project. Although executives at Warner Bros. TV were optimistic about the show's renewal chances, it was reported that steep viewership declines and shifting budget priorities factored into the cancellation decision. The Irrational was also cancelled by NBC, after two seasons, for similar reasons.

Gabi won't be back to deal with her issues in the 2025-26 TV season. NBC has cancelled Found and it won't return for a third season. The second season of 22 episodes finishes airing next week.

A crime and mystery drama series, the Found TV show stars Shanola Hampton, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, and Karan Oberoi. The story revolves around Gabi Mosely (Hampton), a recovery specialist who, years ago, was one of the many people who were reported missing in the United States each year. If you loved NBC’s police procedural crime thriller-drama series Found, then we have some bad news for you. According to Deadline, NBC has chosen to cancel the Shanola Hampton-led series after its second season.

The news of cancelation comes before Found airs its Season 2 finale, which very well could be now the series finale. While it is a discouraging news for the fans, all is not lost as Found’s lead studio, Warner Bros. Television, is looking to shop the series around to other networks and streaming services.

Found follows Gabi, a public relations specialist and crisis manager, as she works with her team to find America’s missing people who have been ignored or forgotten by the media and the government. Gabi was a victim of kidnapping, and now she is holding her kidnapper captive...

The Fate of 'Found' Has Finally Been Decided by NBC
Image
After two seasons, NBC made the decision to lose Found. Among several cancellations at NBC like Night Court and Suits LA, unfortunately, the weekly procedural thriller also just didn’t make the cut, with NBC deciding the title will come to an end after its second season wraps in a few weeks. With just two episodes left and no heads-up given, it’s likely that the finale will leave audiences on a cliffhanger that will never get resolved. After a whirlwind season that has so far seen Gabi (Shanola Hampton) lose the upper hand on her ex-captor, Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), the cancellation will come as a punch in the gut to audiences who have been eager to follow the pair’s cat and mouse game.

First debuting in the fall of 2023, Found introduced viewers to a different kind of procedural. While many similar titles have followed the police as they work on cracking a case,...

‘Found’ Canceled After Two Seasons at NBC
Image
“Found” has canceled at NBC after two seasons, Variety has confirmed.

The drama series originally debuted on NBC in 2023. Shanola Hampton leads the cast, which also includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Kelli Williams, Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta and Karan Oberoi.

The official description of the series states:

“In any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (Hampton), who was once herself one of those forgotten ones, and her crisis management team make sure there is always someone looking out for the missing. Gabi, however, has a chilling secret: In the midst of grief, she imprisoned her childhood kidnapper, Sir (Gosselaar). Now Sir has escaped and is on the loose, and her biggest secret is now her biggest threat.”

‘Found’ Canceled By NBC After 2 Seasons
Image
Exclusive: Found will not be getting a third season at NBC. The series, starring Shanola Hampton, may be shopped by its lead studio Warner Bros. Television.

The news comes ahead of the Season 2 finale, which has been teased as a showdown of sorts between Gabi (Hampton) and Sir’s sister Lena (Danielle Savre). The episode, which will now serve as a series finale, airs on May 15.

Found was canceled today alongside fellow NBC sophomore drama The Irrational. Coming from different studios, Found from Warner Bros. TV and The Irrational from Universal Television, the two series had similar runs.

Held as strike contingency, both shows launched in fall 2023 amid a dearth of scripted originals on the broadcast networks. Taking advantage of the lesser competition and potent lead-ins, The Voice (Monday) for The Irrational and The Voice (Tuesday) for Found, the dramas started off well on NBC and Peacock. Found became NBC...

NBC shows on the bubble so far in 2025 (Which NBC shows could be canceled?)

NBC shows likely canceled: Grosse Pointe Garden Society, Lopez vs. Lopez, and more

I hate to put this new series on the list,...
