Was named after The Hollies' 1967 song "Carrie-Anne", which was released two months before she was born. Before that, her mother Barbara Moss considered naming her Jenny Rebecca, after a Barbra Streisand hit of a previous summer.

She met her husband Steven Roy in a Hollywood acting class during the week she got her parts in Memento (2000), Red Planet (2000) and The Crew (2000).
