Drake & Josh stars Drake Bell and Josh Peck have opened up about the toll their struggles in the public eye as child actors and later overcoming substance abuse issues had on their lives.

“Oh, everything was public, man. I mean, it’s just crazy, you know? And yeah, so it got hard,” Bell revealed in an episode of Dear Media’s Good Guys podcast, which Josh Peck hosts with entrepreneur Ben Soffer, that dropped on Thursday.

His appearance followed a year after first talking on the Investigation Discovery docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV about having to work on a Nickelodeon kids TV show set alongside Brian Peck, before his former dialogue coach was convicted of sexually assaulting the former child actor in 2004. The ID four-parter featured allegations of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate behavior involving underage stars and crewmembers on Nickelodeon series overseen by Schneider.

Since the 80s, the roles have stayed the same concerning their brains and status as misfits, but these characters have become more prestigious and important, as brains are more important than brawn in today's society.

When it comes to movies about nerds and geeks, they are no longer just about nerds being picked on by jocks and having to survive. They have become films about the smartest kids in the class doing things that no one ever imagined they could do. Geeks today are cool and often have more in common with regular people than the jocks that used to rule the class.

There’s an old saying, “Laughter is the best medicine,” but what if the joke’s on you? That’s the predicament movie lovers have found themselves in when it comes to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s recent blunders in categorizing films. Case in point: The Substance. This film, starring Demi Moore, was unceremoniously lumped into the Golden Globes Comedy/Musical category, leaving audiences ‘absolutely confused’.

The 38-year-old former actress was seen with jet black hair and super long nails while heading out for a stroll on Wednesday (August 7) in Hollywood.

Amanda was dressed in an over-sized gray t-shirt and khaki shorts, along with a crossbody bag wrapped around her shoulder.

Back in March, Amanda announced that she was “going to start wearing wigs now” after she got a buzzcut late last year and wasn’t happy with how her hair was “growing out so awkwardly.”

Amanda has also opened up about gaining weight this year due to depression and how she was hoping to lose over 50 pounds to get to her goal weight.
