Nicholas Kirkwood is a British footwear designer known for his innovative and architectural designs. He has been named Accessories Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards twice, in 2010 and 2013.

Kirkwood launched his eponymous label in 2005 after graduating from Cordwainers College in London. Lights, Camera, Take Action! aired live on Ktla (Channel 5 in Los Angeles) on Sunday, December 8, with presenting sponsors City National Bank and UCLA Health leading the charge on the philanthropic endeavor. Yvette Nicole Brown and Tom Bergeron returned as hosts and served as two of the producers for this uplifting, entertaining evening of stories, songs, and celebrities. Ktla’s Dayna Devon returned to host the live Celebrity Lounge, and Tiffany Smith hosted the Tote Board throughout the evening.

The MPTF telethon’s first year raised more than $850,000 and scored an L.A. Area Emmy nomination. Last year, the show raised $750,000 at a time when workers were impacted by the summer-long WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Organizers have set a $750,000 goal for tonight’s event, which will feature Ktla’s Dayna Devon as host of the live Celebrity Lounge, and Tiffany Smith hosting the tote board.

The two are back on board to host and produce MPTF’s fundraising telethon as it returns for a third straight year to help Hollywood crew members in need of assistance. The two-hour telecast — set to air live on Ktla in Los Angeles from 7-9 p.m. on Dec. 8 — will feature stories, songs and celebrity guests in a quest to raise emergency funds for entertainment workers.

The inaugural telecast garnered more than $850,000, while last year’s raised more than $750,000. The MPTF team has set a goal of $750,000 for the December outing.

The Art of Elysium, a nonprofit organization that focuses on healing and inspiring through art, will honor filmmaker Lee Daniels with the Visionary Award at its Heaven Gala, which will take place on March 22, 2025.

The Los Angeles event is a one-night-only art installation conceived and curated by the chosen Visionary, who creates his or her idea of “heaven on Earth” as it relates to The Art of Elysium’s four main disciplines: fashion and design, music and movement, theatre and film, and visual arts. Best known for leading roles on Fox’s Prison Break, CBS’s The Mentalist and The Fix, ABC’s legal drama co-created by famed attorney Marcia Clark, Tunney was most recently seen recurring opposite Connie Britton and Taylor Schilling on Jason Katims’ Apple TV+ drama series Dear Edward, based on Ann Napolitano’s novel of the same name.

The Motion Picture & Television Fund’s second annual Lights, Camera, Take Action! Caring for Hollywood’s Crews telethon exceeded its fundraising goal by raising $786,512 on Saturday night, the nonprofit said.

The telethon, co-hosted and co-produced by Yvette Nicole Brown and Tom Bergeron, aired live on Ktla in Los Angeles, aiming to raise relief funds for entertainment industry members impacted by the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes this year.

Gravitas Ventures, an Anthem Sports & Entertainment Company, has picked up North American rights to the post-apocalyptic thriller Stronghold, directed by Julia Camara. In addition to US & Canada; Gravitas wants to add Latin American territories in addition to Mexico including the Caribbean and sub territories.”

Stronghold is a dystopian tale of resilience in which a young survivalist and her mother live completely isolated in the woods. When a distressed stranger appears, their lives are disrupted and their future threatened.

Toplining Camara’s cast are Bianca A. Santos and Jaqueline Fleming as the familial pair in peril, and Oliver Rayón as the stranger who threatens the isolated duo. The film premiered at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

The deal was brokered by Gravitas Senior Director of Acquisitions, Bill Guentzler, and Jeffrey Cooper, Owner of Cut Entertainment Group.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is adding a familiar TV face for Season 3.

Janel Moloney, best known for her role as Donna Moss on The West Wing, will be playing a detective in a recurring role in Season 3.

The actress, who has also guest-starred in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, shared a photo of herself on set in her as-yet-unnamed role.

The actress has a long list of TV credits that includes a guest-starring role in another Dick Wolf Entertainment series.

Moloney is the latest edition for Season 3, which is undergoing a shift from the sudden departure of Bryan Goluboff as showrunner last week.

The addition of a TV veteran like Moloney looks ready to spark Law & Order: Organized Crime in Season 3 and give Stabler another tough lady to play off of.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is undergoing yet another shakeup.

In a surprising move, Bryan Goluboff is stepping down as showrunner before the Season 3 premiere of the spin-off.

He will be replaced by Sean Jablonski, who has experience producing the mothership Law & Order series.

There is no word on why the sudden change is happening, which makes Jablonski the show’s fourth showrunner in seven months.

This comes after Goluboff had talked in interviews about his plan for Season 3, which would have included shorter story arcs and more focus on the personal lives of Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and his squad.

The sudden change should not affect episodes that have already been filmed but will mean some adjustments as Season 3 prepares to premiere on September 22.

New showrunner Bryan Goluboff has confirmed that in the new season of the spinoff, Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) will finally be investigating crimes as himself.

While Season 1 had Stabler hunting for the murderer of his wife, Season 2 focused on him going undercover in a mob and then a pack of corrupt cops.

This put Stabler through an emotional wringer while wrestling with his place as a detective.

But Season 3 will put that aside as Stabler will be out in the open investigating crimes without the undercover work.

This plays into a new pair of possible villains whose casino business is tied to a potential criminal operation.

Exclusive: Camilla Belle and Gus Halper have joined the cast of NBC’s Law & Order: Organized Crime for its upcoming third season. Belle and Halper will portray New York City power couple Pearl Serrano and Teddy Silas, respectively.

The series follows Law & Order: Svu character Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), a veteran detective who returns to the New York Police Department as part of the Organized Crime Task Force following his wife’s murder.

Deadline recently confirmed the addition of Rick Gonzalez and Brent Antonello, who will join Stabler as part of the task force. Danielle Moné Truitt and Ainsley Seiger also star.

The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Wolf Entertainment. Executive producers include Dick Wolf, Bryan Goluboff, Barry O’Brien, John Polson, Paul Cabbad, Arthur W. Forney, Meloni and Peter Jankowski.
