Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

The tradition of frothy teen love triangles is about as old as the sun-kissed coming-of-age melodrama, of which Prime Video's "The Summer I Turned Pretty" is a key example. Based on the novel series by popular YA writer Jenny Han, the show revolves around the exploits of Isabel "Belly" Conkin (Lola Tung), who has spent every summer of her life in the upscale beach town of Cousins with her family and the Fishers, whose matriarch is her mother's best friend. The Fishers have two sons -- Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) -- and as Belly matures, the relationship between the three of them becomes a bit more ... hormonally driven.

"The Summer I Turned Pretty," which has run for two seasons so far, quickly grew into prime guilty pleasure viewing, making the upcoming third and final season hotly anticipated by fans.

The great thing about The Masked Singer is that you never know who will be on the show, and Season 13 included a '90s heartthrob. Earlier this week, the identity of Paparazzo was revealed after the judges asked a key question: had he been on a hit TV show before?

Out of the four judges, only Jenny McCarthy correctly identified Paparazzo as Matthew Lawrence. However, he had given some great clues on the night about his identity, including honoring his longtime girlfriend, TLC's Rozonda Thomas, better known as Chilli, with the song "Unpretty."

Matthew Lawrence has had an impressive acting career, including appearances in Boy Meets World and Mrs. Doubtfire; however, many people may not be aware that he is also a talented singer. "If you had told me that this little...

Image
Spoiler Alert: Details follow for Season 13, Episode 10 of “The Masked Singer,” “Lucky 6,” which aired April 16 on Fox.

Freeze frame: “Boy Meets World” and “Brotherly Love” star Matthew Lawrence was the latest celebrity to be revealed on Season 13 of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.” On the show’s Wednesday episode, Lawrence was unmasked as Paparazzo after performing “Unpretty,” by TLC.

“Man, if you had told me that this little guy would still be standing here, I’d say you’re crazy. Because I’ve never sang before,” Lawrence said as Paparazzo in his pre-tape package. “And — big spoiler alert — the next song is the biggest hint to my identity yet. So listen closely.”

That’s referring to Lawrence’s relationship with TLC member Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.

For Paparazzo, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg got it right with Matthew Lawrence. Robin Thicke guessed Frankie Muniz. Rita Ora named Jason Ritter. Ken Jeong went with Ben Savage.

Image
Spoiler Alert: Details follow for Season 13, Episode 9 of “The Masked Singer,” “Decades Night,” which aired April 9 on Fox.

“The Masked Singer” is a very different kind of reality show from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” But for Erika Jayne — unmasked as Yorkie on Wednesday night’s edition of Fox’s reality singing competition — it took “zero convincing” to join.

“Why wouldn’t I?” she told Variety. “Did you see my costume? It was absolutely adorable. ‘The Masked Singer’ is a top-notch production. It was probably one of the best times I’ve ever had performing and doing a show like this. Why not take this great opportunity?”

For Yorkie, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg got it right with Erika Jayne. Robin Thicke guessed Lori Loughlin. Rita Ora named Paris Hilton. Ken Jeong went with Kyle Richards.

Jayne said performing in the costume was the most challenging part, as “the mask was quite heavy,...

In an exclusive preview clip below, Ken lays out his theory about who is hiding behind the Nessy mask.

See 'The Masked Singer' spoilers: Who is Nessy?

"I think this could be Pat Monahan of Train because he is really good friends with Kevin Cronin of Reo Speedwagon," Ken tells his co-panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and Rita Ora. "They have performed together on stage. So many people have said 'I do' during their songs. Because of the Reo Speedwagon connection, this still could be Pat Monahan of Train." Why Patricia Arquette And Ted Danson's CSI: Cyber Was Canceled
Image
With its macabre one-liners, revolving door of guest stars, and endless imagined homicides, "CSI" is one of the most recognizable network TV franchises of all time. Yet, despite well over a decade of success and extensive rerun appeal, the Anthony Zuiker-created property actually went off the air for a five year period. In 2016, the last "CSI" show that was still going, "CSI: Cyber," bowed out after just two seasons, and the TV world of the crime saga that began at the turn of the millennium went temporarily dark.

Like so many procedurals before it, "CSI" did eventually come back, offering up the Paula Newsome and Matt Lauria-led "CSI: Vegas" in 2021. That series returned to the show's trend of focusing on a different city (past hits have included "CSI: New York" and the infamously punny "CSI: Miami"), but it wasn't enough to save it. "Vegas" was canceled in 2024 after three seasons,...

'It Doesn't Work for Me': Dawson Creek Star Regrets One Thing About His Character's Storyline
Image
Joshua Jackson addressed one of Dawson's Creek's divisive storylines, siding with fans who called out Pacey Witter's latter arc. He wants to retcon "stockbroker Pacey", which doesn't make sense to him looking back.

Looking back on his run in Dawson's Creek, Joshua Jackson revealed one arc his character could do without. "I don't think Pacey ever needed to be a stockbroker," he told People. "I don't really think we needed to go there." Jackson was referring to Pacey Witter's Season 6 storyline, where Audrey's father set him up for a stockbroker job in Boston. Audrey eventually broke up with Pacey because she disapproved of his new lifestyle. Fans were surprised by the turn, which also had Pacey sporting a goatee and new haircut. Jackson regretted doing that. "I don't think we needed a goatee. Maybe that's it: it's goatee Pacey," he quipped. "It doesn't work for me."

Debuting in 1991's Crooked Hearts,...

Did Dawson’s Creek Get Canceled? Here’s Why the Show Ended After 6 Seasons
Image
Alright, let’s get this out of the way: Dawson’s Creek was the guilty pleasure of the late ‘90s and early 2000s. It was the TV equivalent of a high school breakup that you never really got over. The angsty love triangles, the tragic back-and-forth between Dawson and Joey, and of course, Pacey – who was just too cool for the entire show.

We were hooked, we were obsessed, and we just knew we’d be watching those familiar faces for years. But like all good things, Dawson’s Creek didn’t last forever. After six seasons, the show wrapped up in 2003, leaving fans asking, “Why, oh why, did you have to pull the plug so soon?”

Don’t worry; we’re not here to leave you hanging, not like some of the show’s love triangles. So, let’s not waste any more...

I had to come nose to nose with death. All of those definitions that I cared so deeply about were stripped from me. I was away for treatment,...
