His least favorite scene on ER (1994) was mouth-to-mouth resuscitation of a dog; his all-time favorite was where he stood in a dark room reading to legendary actor and acting coach Sanford Meisner.

Went on stage and gave a speech at MacWorld computer trade show posing as Apple Computer interim chief Steve Jobs. Jobs invited Wyle for this joke after seeing him in Pirates of Silicon Valley (1999). (July 1999)

Announced in September of 2004 that he would be leaving ER (1994) at the conclusion of the eleventh season, after appearing on the show for nearly eleven years, to make room for the upcoming generation as well as to spend time with his nuclear family.

Skipped school at 14 to audition for Milos Forman's Valmont (1989). Although he could ride and fence, at the time he had acted only in school productions. His head shot/resume was a picture from "Our Town" with his other school roles listed on the back. Needless to say, he didn't get the part.

In a Hollywood Reporter interview in 2019, he admitted that he started feeling worn-down and less excited by his leading role in ER (1994) during the show's 9th season in late 2002, especially after his first son Owen was born and he realized he wanted to spend more time with his growing family. As a result, he took on a reduced workload in Season 10, and he and the show's producers agreed that Season 11 would be his last one as a regular (though Wyle did return for guest appearances in Seasons 12 and 15).

Last name is pronounced "why-lee".

Has two tattoos; an "O" on his left wrist, referencing his son, Owen. And above it, his daughter's name, Auden.

Noah's grandfather, Frank Wyle, founded Wyle Laboratories, and Noah's grandmother, Edith Wyle, created The Egg and The Eye, a café and shop in LA, and was an expressionist painter. Noah's grandparents also co-founded the Los Angeles Craft and Folk Art Museum. The family surname was originally "Weil". Noah's father's family is of German Jewish, Dutch Jewish, and Russian Jewish descent. Noah's mother's family is of German, English, Irish, Scottish, Scots-Irish/Northern Irish, and distant Welsh, Dutch, and French, ancestry.
