Dexter Season 6 slices deep into faith, prophecy, and blood-soaked scripture. Our favorite Dark Passenger is back on the hunt—but this time, he’s not just following blood spatter. He’s unraveling a cryptic trail of Book of Revelation-style murders orchestrated by the so-called Doomsday Killers (Ddk), a duo made up of Professor James Gellar and his devoutly deranged disciple, Travis Marshall.
As Miami Metro scrambles to decode the gore-stained gospel, Dexter juggles ritual killings, fatherhood, and his own twisted sense of salvation. And while the season teases danger for little Harrison, the overkill in foreshadowing turns suspense into a shadow that never quite takes shape.
Dark, symbolic, and occasionally overstuffed, Season 6 is Dexter doing Dan Brown—only with more blood and fewer codes.

Exclusive: Alberto Guerra has joined Peacock’s upcoming South Florida-set crime drama M.I.A. as a series regular along with Edward James Olmos, Billy Burke and Sônia Braga in guest star roles.
They join previously announced series regulars Shannon Gisela, Brittany Adebumola, Dylan Jackson, Maurice Compte, Danay Garcia, Cary Elwes, Gerardo Celasco, and Marta Milans.
From Ozark creator Bill Dubuque, Running drugs is a family affair for Etta Tiger Jonze (Gisela) in M.I.A. But when the family business is threatened, she is thrust into a life she never expected, forcing her to use her wits to survive as she navigates Miami’s criminal underground.
Mia is the airport code for Miami. The SoFla area consists of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties.
The series comes from studio MRC (Poker Face), with Karen Campbell serving as executive producer and showrunner. Alethea Jones will direct and executive produce. Dubuque will write Episode 101 and executive produce alongside Campbell and Jones, who will also direct.
M.I.A. is the latest series to explore SoFla’s seedy underbelly including Chris Brancato’s Hotel Cocaine—based on Compte’s father’s life— for MGM+ and two Netflix series: the Sofia Vergara-led Griselda and the early seasons of Narcos focused on Pablo Escobar, both with executive producers including Eric Newman, Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard. Narcos was co-created by Brancato. Showtime’s original Dexter series was also famously set in Miami, and its Paramount+ with Showtime prequel spinoff series, Dexter: Original Sin.
Guerra is repped by UTA, Artists First, and Coloürs.
Olmos is repped by Untitled Entertainment and CAA.
Burke is repped by Ellen Meyer Management and Gersh Agency.
Braga is repped by Bond Artist Management, Untitled Entertainment, and Schreck Rose Dapello.

Brett Goldstein might be one of the more underrated players in movies and TV series. He doesn't just act, either. Nor does he only act and write. He creates, and what he comes up with are some excellent and highly entertaining ideas.
Many might know him from playing Roy Kent on the Apple TV series, Ted Lasso. Kent is a good-hearted menace. He is not easy to please, but he will help those in need. Goldstein plays the character dynamically and exceptionally well.
Some might know him from another Apple TV series, Shrinking. His part is minor on that show (he doesn't appear until season two), but essential. He plays the character who drives drunk and kills Jason Siegel's character's wife. The show is a comedy with a heavy dose of kind-hearted drama. Goldstein also co-wrote the episodes and created the show.

Jennifer Lopez is going back to her rom-com roots. But this Office Romance is definitely not safe for work.
Lopez stars alongside Brett Goldstein in the upcoming film, which recently kicked off production. “Every day I come to work to do a rom-com with Jennifer Lopez and this incredible cast, and I expect people to jump out and tell me I’m being pranked,” says Goldstein. “Hasn’t happened yet, so maybe this is real?” See new photos below that Lopez posted from set!

The reimagined "Battlestar Galactica" is one of the greatest and most ambitious science-fiction television shows ever aired. When "Galactica" begins, humanity is living on 12 colony planets named in tribute to the signs of the Zodiac: Caprica, Tauron, etc. About 50 years ago, mankind created robotic servants called the Cylons, who rebelled and waged war until an armistice.
When the series begins, the Cylons (who have upgraded into human-like forms) return and wipe out the 12 colonies. The 50,000 or so survivors flee in a spaceship fleet, guarded by a "Battlestar" warship, Galactica. Led by William Adama (Edward James Olmos) and President Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell), the survivors search for the fabled 13th colony: Earth.
Co-creators Ronald D. Moore and David Eick rebooted the short-lived 1978 original "Galactica" by taking out the cheese in favor of drama and political resonance. Moore, who broke into TV writing on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," got to air...

It should surprise no one that Bad Bunny decided to drop the long-anticipated music video for “LA MuDANZA” on his 31st birthday. The song is a riotous salsa track that — like one of DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ other mega hits, “Baile INoLVIDABLE” — borrows from the salsa gorda era of the genre. It’s deeply personal, too: It opens with a spoken word snippet of Benito retelling the story of how his parents came of age in the Nineties, crossed paths serendipitously, and eventually had the kid who is now an international superstar.

Many directors' films end up with multiple versions as a result of studio intervention, international re-cuts, or re-released director's cuts. Ridley Scott is certainly one of those filmmakers, having created different director's cuts for 10 movies throughout his career — Robin Hood, Alien, Black Hawk Down, American Gangster, The Martian, Gladiator, The Counselor, Legend, Kingdom of Heaven, and, perhaps most controversially, his sci-fi masterpiece, 1982's Blade Runner. The 1992 re-edit of the film is, despite some controversy, widely considered to be one of the greatest director's cuts of all time, eliminating certain things and inserting others (the unicorn dream) in order to create more metaphysical mystery and ambiguity. But that wasn't the only director's cut of Blade Runner.
In 2007, for the 25th anniversary of Blade Runner, Ridley Scott released what is known as 'The Final Cut' of the film, which is now streaming on Netflix beginning today (you can watch it...

Four years ago, Hulu, along with Battlestar Galactica showrunner Ronald D. Moore, optioned the book series for a television series adaptation. However, per Deadline, Hulu and 20th Television have axed the project.
A Court of Thorns and Roses consists of five books published from 2015 to 2021 that follow 19-year-old Feyre after she is brought to the faerie lands of Pyrthian. A sixth book in the series is reportedly still in the works.

One of the most well-reviewed Marvel shows in recent memory is probably one many fans have not watched. Sporting a 100% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur follows a 13-year-old girl named Lunella, a supergenius who accidentally brings a (very lovable) dinosaur into modern-day New York City. Together, they are a crime-fighting duo that has the rare combination of being incredibly cute but also very powerful. After being unceremoniously canceled last year, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur will be ending on its own terms with the back half of Season 2.
It's been a year since the second season first premiered on Disney+, but the streamer has finally announced when fans will be able to watch the last 10 episodes of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (via The Direct). On Feb. 7, the final episodes of the animated series will be released on Disney+. Meanwhile, for those not subscribed to the streamer,...

Battlestar Galactica has earned critical acclaim throughout the years as the series boasts some memorable performances by actors who've starred in a variety of other remarkable projects. It's not an easy task to impress the cult following of a short-lived series like the original Battlestar Galactica, but the re-imagined sci-fi series from the 2000s managed to pull it off. The Syfy original series ran for four seasons and is filled with compelling character relationships and interstellar conflict. Actors like Edward James Olmos, Katee Sackhoff, and Jamie Bamber lead the series and are beloved by audiences for their sci-fi roles.
The series' main cast is made up of re-imagined versions of characters in the original Battlestar Galactica, but the show introduces some new characters as well. Dexter is a show that constantly forces its audience to question the titular character’s murderous morals. Played excellently by the great Michael C. Hall, Dexter is a show packed with brutal moments, tragic storytelling and gory kills.
Some of these kills, to fans, have made their place in history as some of Dexter’s best. Whether for style or for story, Dexter’s eight-season run has had some iconic murders that make audiences question how much they should enjoy the show.

The Blade Runner franchise received a long-awaited sequel in 2017 from Denis Villeneuve, and although it was hailed by many as another masterpiece, the film failed to make a splash at the box office. Since then, another big-screen installment has been out of the conversation, but audiences will be re-entering the futuristic neo-noir world soon enough. Amazon is currently developing Blade Runner 2099, a television series starring Michelle Yeoh that will serve as the latest sequel to Ridley Scott's original 1982 classic.
According to Discussing Film, Blade Runner 2099 has officially wrapped production, which took place in the Czech Republic. Alongside the 2023 Best Actress Oscar winner, Euphoria star Hunter Schafer is set as the co-lead for the upcoming Blade Runner sequel. Due to the union strikes in 2023, the show's production was delayed several times before finally finishing filming late this year. As one could assume, plot details have remained scarce at best,...

Dexter has never been short of managing to wrangle some truly fantastic guest stars to work into the original and spin-off series’ magnificent, harrowing and sometimes downright weird seasons. Guest stars have included the likes of Jimmy Smits, John Lithgow, Edward James Olmos and Ray Stevens to name a few.
The prequel series has continued this trend of capturing talent with Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Gellar as Tanya Martins heading up the forensics department at Miami Metro. Gellar takes on the role of Dexter’s mentor in crime scene analysis, a part that must be major for the story, given the significance of casting such a notable name for the part.

Blue Bloods had an amazing series finale, but it proved why this show should continue!
Caution: This article contains Spoilers for the Blue Bloods series finale
The Blue Bloods series finale was a wild affair as a gang began a series of attacks in a plot for amnesty for their members. That included gunning down Mayor Chase, who, in his hospital bed, gave Frank the “keys to the city” to do whatever it took to quiet the chaos.
Eddie and Badillo were also attacked, Eddie wounded while Badillo was tragically killed. Jamie and Joe teamed up to hunt down the killer, and Eddie got the honor of cuffing the guy.
Frank had his hands full trying to stop the gang war, eventually getting an imprisoned leader (Edward James Olmos) to help quiet things down. Meanwhile, Danny and Baez discovered that foe Carlos had abducted his daughter after she called Eddie for help.

After a run of 14 seasons as the central character of Frank Reagan, Selleck and the rest of the cast have officially signed off from the long-running CBS procedural. Despite how the Blue Bloods finale might have seen Frank walk away from his job, especially with how events play out, it ultimately goes in a different direction and arguably more emotional direction to provide a sense of closure.
In a post-finale interview with Variety, Selleck reflected on how Frank didn't quit his job as the NYPD's Commissioner. Even though the Magnum P.I. legend acknowledges that Frank actually hated the job, especially the responsibility and the weight of it, he explains that Frank couldn't quit because it was important for him to carry that responsibility...

The Blue Bloods boss was not wrong because it was that and so much more.
There was a little something for everyone in a jam-packed finale.
Blue Bloods fans were left happy but wanting more at that same time.

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details of tonight’s Blue Bloods series finale and Season 14 ender ‘End of Tour.
“Our dinners are never about the food,” proclaims NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) near the end of Blue Bloods‘ final episode. “You know, we’ve got a lot to be thankful for, and looking around this table, I gotta say, I couldn’t be more proud, or grateful,” the patriarch adds before the family bows their heads to pray like the good Catholics they are.

[This story contains spoilers for the series finale of Blue Bloods on CBS, titled “End of Tour.”]
Of course it had to end around the dinner table.
Blue Bloods has been a remarkably consistent show over its 14 seasons on CBS — the core cast has remained intact throughout, and a number of the show’s writers and producers have been there for all or nearly all of the run as well. On screen, scenes of the Reagans gathering for a meal have been a constant, and closing out the series without a family dinner scene would have been unthinkable.
Blue Bloods ends after 293 episodes, even if most of its cast would have been happy to continue making the show. Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg and others have said as much in recent interviews, and the show is bowing out as a still reliable draw for CBS.
Many factors are involved in crafting a compelling villain for a science fiction movie. After all, the bad guys often tend to be just as captivating than the heroes. Of course, one key element in designing a proper villain is giving them a purpose; a clear goal for them to be trying to achieve, particularly one that directly combats the objectives of the hero. Every so often, a film takes this idea so far as to include an antagonist who, when you think about it, actually has a very valid reason for doing what they do.
This is not to say that all of their actions are completely defensible; many villains are given that title because of the violent/excessive methods they use to achieve their goals. However, at the end of the day, it is difficult to deny that they did have understandable motivations. Having ideas that the viewers...

The biopic seems to be one of Hollywood's current obsessions, with inspiring movies telling the true stories of iconic women growing in popularity. This comes as no surprise since they highlight the many achievements and challenges that influential and beloved figures in pop culture have experienced on their journeys to success. Recently, films like Pablo Larraín's Maria starring Angelina Jolie and Sophia Coppola's latest cult classic Priscilla, have done well with critics and at festivals.
As modern Hollywood chooses to tell more female-led stories, biopics have followed suit. Many of them tell inspiring tales, charting the challenges faced by some of history's most notable women. The best biopics are capable of bringing history to life and giving modern audiences a sense of the person beyond their achievements. The best biopics about women give a spotlight to their legacies and also shed light on important issues in society that women still face.

The sci-fi franchises of Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek have mirrored one another practically since day one. In fact, the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica came under fire on many occasions for supposedly copying Star Trek, and the reimagined 2004 BSG did, too. In spite of this heavy criticism, at its core, Battlestar Galactica has carved out its own niche, with its gritty but grounded approach honoring but still changing the Star Trek sci-fi formula.
While these two universes have each made their own unique mark on the sci-fi genre, it is undeniable that they do share many parallels. From a heavy focus on ethical concepts to overarching themes of the survival of the human race, Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek have more in common than not. Not the least of their similarities lies in the character archetypes that exist in each universe. These Battlestar Galactica characters all have their counterparts in the...

Ridley Scott's earliest films are now cult classics, but only Alien was a breakout hit when it was released in theaters. Scott reflected on Blade Runner's fumble at the box office.
Ridley Scott said Blade Runner and Alien would have been equally successful if not for one film critic's scathing feedback. "She destroyed me," he told Entertainment Weekly, referring to Pauline Kael, The New Yorker's legendary film critic who "destroyed Blade Runner in four pages."
"I didn't even meet her," he added. "To me, it almost walked in the column of industrial espionage, because you're destroying a product before it's out." Scott confirmed he had those four pages framed and mounted in his office, as his constant reminder not to read and believe his own press.
