Image
If you're here, then one or more of the following three things are true: It's the weekend, you're looking for something to watch, and you're a fan of Taylor Sheridan's shows. Thankfully, you have come to the right place for a recommendation of which of his shows to binge-watch this weekend. There's a lot of them, so it's entirely possible that you haven't watched them all.

Since debuting Yellowstone on the Paramount Network in 2018, Sheridan has expanded his television universe quite a bit in the following year, branching out with an extension of the franchise on streaming. Even beyond the Yellowstone series, Sheridan has additional star-studded shows like Lioness and Lawmen: Bass Reeves that are also worthing binge-watching.

But we're narrowing the list down to the four shows that will soon be returning with new seasons (or spinoffs) and can be binge-watch in a weekend. Since Yellowstone's five...

Sylvester Stallone Teases “Devious” Season 3 of Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Tulsa King’
Image
We might not have a release date yet, but Tulsa King Season 3 is officially underway — and Sylvester Stallone is already stirring the pot. The action legend took to Instagram to tease what's coming next for his fish-out-of-water mobster Dwight “The General” Manfredi, and according to Stallone, the plan for the new season is nothing short of devious. That’s right — Dwight’s return to Tulsa isn’t going to be smooth sailing. But did anyone really expect it would be?

“This is my friend, Frank Grillo,” Stallone says in a new behind-the-scenes video, as filming for Season 3 continues. “We’re about to do something a little devious in the name of commerce. It’s not like we’re thieves, right? We’re actually trying to retrieve what belongs to us. I have a feeling it’s going to go sideways.” Grillo — who joined the series in Season 2 as dangerous businessman Bill Bevilaqua — added,...

Kevin Pollak to stir up trouble for Sylvester Stallone in Tulsa King Season 3
Kevin Pollak
The Usual Suspects and Grumpy Old Men actor Kevin Pollak is heading to Tulsa, and he’s not looking to make friends. According to Variety, Kevin Pollak will join the Tulsa King Season 3 cast as Special Agent Musso, “an FBI agent with an axe to grind.”

The second season of Tulsa King ended on November 17, 2024, with some big plot threads wrapped up and other cliffhangers dangling. In the finale, Dwight had a final showdown with nemesis Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough), but let his adversary live. After Cal attempted to destroy Dwight by fixing his trial or attacking his wind farm, it was an intriguing development for the mobster to let his foe remain alive. It was also a wise decision, as the death of a prominent businessman would not have been easy to hide. Meanwhile, Dwight makes an unexpected friend out of Bill Bevilacqua (Frank Grillo), another enemy he must face.

5 TV Shows You Didn’t Know Are Written by ‘The White Lotus’ Creator Mike White
Image
By now, most of us have either watched, read about, or at least heard the buzz surrounding The White Lotus. With its beautifully messy characters and addictive plotlines, Mike White’s vacation-gone-wrong series has taken the world by storm. The show recently wrapped up its third season, and fans can’t get enough of it for obvious reasons.

But here’s the kicker—Mike White didn’t just waltz in with The White Lotus like some Hollywood rookie. Nah, he’s been in the game for years, juggling roles as a screenwriter, director, actor, and even a reality TV wildcard. Talk about a plot twist! Believe it or not, White and his dad teamed up twice on The Amazing Race. And if that wasn’t impressive enough, he crushed it on Survivor in 2018, lasting all 39 days and landing the runner-up spot. Talk about a guy with range!

3 things we learned about Mike White’s forgotten first show ‘Pasadena’
Image
When it comes to Mike White's TV credits that are not The White Lotus, most people would probably name the gone-too-soon Enlightened, his early work as a writer on Dawson's Creek and Freaks and Geeks, or even his reality stints on The Amazing Race (twice) and Survivor. But one that hardly ever comes up is Pasadena.

The Fox prime-time soap was the first series White created. Named after his California hometown, the show had the nascent marks of what everyone loves about The White Lotus now: a mysterious death, backstabbing, secrets, privileged white people, and even sexual tension between — yes — siblings. It starred Dana Delany as the matriarch of the wealthy Greeleys. After her daughter, Lily (Alison Lohman), witnesses a murder, family secrets are uncovered. The cast also included Martin Donovan, Balthazar Getty, Mark Valley, Christopher Marquette, and Natasha Gregson Wagner. Diane Keaton even directed the pilot. Pasadena got...

Sylvester Stallone at an event for The Oscars (2016)
Paramount+ has confirmed that Tulsa King will return for a third season. The crime drama, starring Sylvester Stallone and created by Taylor Sheridan, has already begun production in Atlanta and Oklahoma after months of casting.

Stallone, who plays Dwight “The General” Manfredi, secured a new contract in November, ensuring his involvement for at least two more seasons. This agreement set the stage for the series’ continuation, with a fourth season likely to follow.

Everything We Know About ‘Tulsa King’ Season 3

Although Paramount+ has yet to issue an official renewal or release date, Tulsa Kingstar Sylvester Stallone told his Instagram followers that Season 3 is in the works in September 2024. Months since the boastful announcement, more details about the Taylor Sheridan mob drama have trickled down, including when the series may return, casting tidbits, probable storylines, and more.

At last glance, Dwight Manfredi (Stallone) bolstered his criminal empire after taking on the Triad members led by Jackie Ming (Rich Ting). With one rival gang out of the way, another will undoubtedly crop up and challenge Manfredi's crew as he seizes more power and control of the Midwest. However, given the terrifying cliffhanger at the end of Season 2, Tulsa King has plenty of directions to go when Season 3 inevitably returns.

10 Darkest Moments in Tombstone, Ranked

The 90s Western Tombstone sees storied lawman Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) attempt to live a civilian life after moving to Tombstone, Arizona, with his extended family. Despite the presence of a criminal gang known as the "Cowboys," Wyatt initially prospers in the frontier town as a card dealer at a saloon. Unfortunately, his brother Virgil (Sam Elliott) becomes the local sheriff and Wyatt is drawn into a bloody war with the Cowboys.

Tombstone skillfully blends action, humor, and romance in its exploration of Wyatt Earp's time in Arizona. While there are plenty of light and heartwarming moments, the film doesn't shy away from the bloody and depressing parts of the story. In fact, its unwavering examination of these dark moments are some of its rawest and most emotional scenes.

‘Tulsa King’ Season 2 Continues To Build Record Viewership As Taylor Sheridan’s Dominance On Paramount+ Persists
Image
Exclusive: Tulsa King is still pulling its weight over at Paramount+ as Season 2 has become one of the three biggest domestic originals in the streaming service’s history.

The second season, which wrapped up on November 17, has reached 13.6M global households to date, according to Paramount Global. It trails only behind Taylor Sheridan’s other hit 1923 and its own first season.

(It’s common for Paramount+ to tout global households rather that viewers, since the company can’t determine how many people are watching via a single stream, or if anyone is actually watching at all.)

This is a victory not only for Stallone and Sheridan, but for MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, which have been on a winning streak as of late. They also produce 1923 as well as Landman, which recently had the biggest global series premiere for Paramount+ in two years.

Fresh off the series celebrating its 20th anniversary last month, the Desperate Housewives creator is revealing that he would love to revisit the series, but he would want to do it during a completely different era and to be able to write a very specific character again.

During a chat with People, Cherry revealed that he would love to do a Desperate Housewives prequel series set in the '60s. The Emmy-nominated showrunner said, "I would probably want to do the idea maybe in an earlier decade. Because the character I miss writing the most is Wisteria Lane. That was the most fun playground anyone in the history of television has ever had, because we owned the whole street."

Desperate Housewives ran from 2004 to 2012, and it was pretty popular throughout much of its run,...

Following the hit ABC series’ milestone anniversary last month, the 2x Emmy-nominated EP and showrunner recently shared his vision for a reboot of Desperate Housewives, which ran for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012.

“I would probably want to do the idea maybe in an earlier decade. Because the character I miss writing the most is actually Wisteria Lane,” he told People. “That was the most fun playground anyone in the history of television has ever had, because we owned the whole street.

Cherry continued, “I know that street like the back of my hand. When someone shoots a commercial on that street, I know it instantly, because I know all those houses, I know the geography. It was such a fun place to write for. And there’s times when I go, ‘You know what?...

Image
Warning! This article contains Spoilers for Tulsa King season 2, episode 9.Most of Dwight Manfredi's (Sylvester Stallone) problems have disappeared after the ending of Tulsa King season 2, episode 9, but there are still some things that need to be explained in the aftermath of Jackie Ming's (Rich Ting) death. Tulsa King season 2 has been approaching a boiling point for a long time, and the pressure finally burst with Jackie Ming's death. Almost the entire cast of Tulsa King season 2 was involved in putting the leader of the Chinese Triad down, but some of them played a more important role than others.

10 Best Scenes In Tombstone
Image
Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer's classic Western Tombstone is filled with timeless scenes, but these 10 are the very best the film has to offer. The cast of Tombstone is brimming with high-profile and talented actors, from Russell and Kilmer to Bill Paxton, Dana Delany, Sam Elliott, and more. With so many stars, it makes sense that Tombstone is filled with memorable quotes, classic scenes, and standout moments. Almost every second of Tombstone is remembered as a shining example of the entire Western genre, yet some were even better than others.

While there are countless great moments in Tombstone, only 10 can be considered the best. That being said, picking only 10 scenes from such a classic movie is no easy feat. Therefore, the 10 best scenes in Tombstone are the ones that best show all the different sides of its story, like its humor, action, drama, and romance, and have had the...

What Happened To Wyatt Earp's Wife, Mattie, After Tombstone
Image
This article contains discussion of addiction and suicide.

Wyatt Earp's (Kurt Russell) wife, Mattie (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson), had an unceremonious exit from Tombstone, but what happened to the real-life woman after leaving Arizona is even more tragic. Tombstone is based on a true story, and while it does take some creative liberties, most of the film is accurate to the true story of the Earp family and Doc Holliday's time in the Arizona Territory. Some of the facts incorporated into the movie include Tombstone's Cowboys gang, which was a real group of outlaws, and different parts of Wyatt's story. While it was largely accurate, Tombstone brushed over one important story: Mattie Earp's.

Wyatt Earp's common-law wife, meaning they were considered married because they lived together but never had an official and legal wedding, was born Celia Blaylock (via Mattie: Wyatt Earp's Secret Second Wife). She was born on a farm,...

Sylvester Stallones Western Show Is Perfect For Tombstone Fans And This Character Proves It
Image
Sylvester Stallone's Tulsa King is a great follow-up to Kurt Russell's Tombstone, and one actor who appears in both proves why. In Tulsa King, Stallone plays Dwight Manfredi, a New York mobster who was banished to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to set up a new criminal empire out West. While he was there, Dwight created a huge network of allies and enemies that includes the entire cast of Tulsa King. While Dwight's mobster background is unique, both he and Tulsa King are very similar to Wyatt Earp and Tombstone.

There are quite a few threads that connect Tombstone and Tulsa King. Both the movie and show were based on real-life stories, like the real Cowboys gang of Tombstone and the true mafioso story Tulsa King is based on. The similarities don't end there, however, as both Tombstone and Tulsa King feature major actors - Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone respectively...

All 13 Batman: The Animated Series Spinoffs & Movies (& How To Watch Them)
Image
When Batman: The Animated Series debuted in 1992, it was intended to provide a non-canon animated counterpart to Tim Burton's Batman franchise. Since then, the show exploded in popularity, becoming both a fan favorite and a critical darling. In fact, Batman: The Animated Series is often propped up as one of the best adaptations of Bruce Wayne/Batman and his surrounding mythos. Between its character-based storytelling and intriguing world-building, it's no mystery why the show is beloved.

As a result, it spawned 13 official spinoffs, not including the webseries Gotham Girls, and influenced the vast majority of DC content that came after. Though its impact cannot be overstated, getting into Batman: The Animated Series and the DC Animated Universe can be a daunting task. With 32 years worth of animation, the Dcau is one of DC's most thoroughly realized continuities. Revisiting it is a worthwhile task for any superhero fan, and the...

Tulsa King Season 2 TV Review: Sylvester Stallone is back kicking Oklahoma into shape
Image
Plot: Dwight and his crew continue to build up and defend their growing empire in Tulsa, but just as they get their bearings, they realize that they’re not the only ones who want to stake their claim. With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.

Review: Taylor Sheridan has diversified his retinue of television series beyond the world of Yellowstone to include historical epics, Michigan-set crime stories, and this unique tale set in Oklahoma. The first season of Tulsa King was a welcome small screen project for big screen star Sylvester Stallone, who embodied Dwight Manfredi as a New York fish out of water in the Midwestern city of Tulsa. With a new local crew, Dwight’s...
