“Little By Little, I Understood”: Wes Anderson’s Way Of Casting Benicio del Toro In His New Movie Was So Unusual, He Didn’t Even Realize He Was The Lead
Image
Benicio del Toro explains the unusual way in which Wes Anderson cast him in The Phoenician Scheme. Set for release early next month, the Anderson-directed movie features del Toro as Zsa-zsa Korda, who meets up with his daughter, Liesl, who he names his sole heir. The pair travel the world together as Zsa-zsa attempts to close business deals and bond with Liesl along the way. In addition to del Toro, the movie features Mia Threaplton, Michael Cera, Willem Dafoe, F. Murray Abraham, Scarlett Johansson, Riz Ahmed, and Tom Hanks.

Per The LA Times, del Toro and Anderson detail how the actor got cast in The Phoenician Scheme. According to the actor, Anderson approached him at a dinner at the Cannes Film Festival after he premiered The French Dispatch to tell him about a new project, with 20 pages already written. He specifically had del Toro in mind. Gradually, the director...

Tom Cruise Reveals How They Shot the Craziest Stunt in ‘Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning’
Image
It was inevitable. On Wednesday at Cannes at the packed grand théâtre Lumière, Christopher McQuarrie, wearing a pale peach suit, measuredly answered questions from French journalist Didier Allouch about his writing and directing career, from “The Usual Suspects” (social media would give away the twisty ending today) and “The Way of the Gun” with Benicio del Toro, to collaborating with Tom Cruise on 11 movies. Then his star popped in, sporting a short-sleeved maroon ensemble, to hijack the conversation.

While Cruise and McQuarrie say the right things about respecting each other, it’s clear how much power Cruise has over the “Mission” franchise, now in its eighth iteration. While “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning” is billed as the finale, a special IMAX screening later that evening played rousingly and offered an open-ended conclusion. (The $400 million film was shot in IMAX.) After a London premiere and buzzy Cannes launch, the movie...

Wes Anderson on ‘The Phoenician Scheme,’ His Cannes Party Bus and Why You Should Always See His Movies Twice
Image
The experience of interviewing Wes Anderson is not unlike the experience of watching a Wes Anderson film. It’s brisk. There are entertaining asides. The material is thoughtful and laced with detail that you will often only recognize in retrospect — sometimes after exiting the theater or, in this case, hanging up the phone.

The occasion of this particular conversation is the Cannes Film Festival. To date, Anderson has premiered three films at the Palais — Moonrise Kingdom (2012), The French Dispatch (2021) and Asteroid City (2023) — and will be back this year with his latest feature, The Phoenician Scheme. Like the other directors The Hollywood Reporter has called a Legend of the Croisette — from Ken Loach to Nanni Moretti — Anderson, a lover of film in addition to a maker, feels inextricably linked to the festival where cinema is at its most venerated.

The Phoenician Scheme, out May 30 via Focus Features, stars Benicio del Toro as European tycoon Zsa-Zsa Korda,...

Michael Cera Making Directorial Debut With Comedy ‘Love Is Not the Answer’ Starring Pamela Anderson, Steve Coogan, Jamie Dornan and Fred Hechinger
Image
Michael Cera is getting behind the camera for his directorial feature debut and has quietly amassed a impressive cast, Variety understands

The actor — best known for roles in “Barbie,” “Superbad,” “Scott Pilgrim vs the World,” and “Arrested Development” — is set to direct “Love Is Not the Answer,” with Pamela Anderson (“The Last Showgirl”), Steve Coogan (“Philomena”), Fred Hechinger (“Gladiator 2”) and Jamie Dornan (“Belfast”) lined up to star. mk2 Films will launching the project in Cannes.

The plot of the film is being kept under wraps, but it’s described as a “precise yet unpredictable, absurdist comedy that moves between hilarity and heartbreak as it explores modern loneliness and the search for connection.”

“Love Is Not the Answer” also teams Cera — who penned the script — with fast-rising hitmakers 2am, led by Christine D’Souza Gelb, David Hinojosa and Kevin Rowe and producers of “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies,” “Past Lives,” “Babygirl,” Celine Song...

11 Oscar contenders with the most to gain at this year’s Cannes Film Festival
Image
Oscar season is ready to start.

The 2025 Cannes Film Festival kicks off on Tuesday with a lineup that includes new movies from Wes Anderson, Ari Aster, Richard Linklater, Spike Lee, Lynne Ramsay, and more of the world’s top auteurs.

In many ways, the Cannes Film Festival is more important than ever for the awards race. Over the last five years, multiple movies that premiered on the French Riviera have gone on to receive Best Picture nominations at the Academy Awards, including Oscar winners Parasite and Anora, and nominees Top Gun: Maverick, Triangle of Sadness, Killers of the Flower Moon, The Substance, and Emilia Pérez. With the 2025 lineup loaded with some highly anticipated titles, it would be considered an upset if at least one or two of the following movies failed to secure eventual Oscar bids in the top categories.

Ahead of the Cannes Film Festival, here are the 11 projects...

International Film Journalists Protest “Worrying” Lack of Access to Stars Ahead of Cannes Festival
Image
With the 78th Cannes Film Festival set to Tuesday, more than 100 international film journalists have signed an open statement urging festival organizers, studios, and talent representatives to improve access to talent interviews — a concern that has sparked growing frustration across major film events worldwide.

The protest, which follows a similar action launched at the Venice Film Festival last year, calls on Cannes director Thierry Frémaux and his counterparts at other major festivals to publicly support “good film journalism” and to push for more equitable access to talent during festivals. The signees argue that without meaningful interviews, serious coverage of cinema is being sidelined in favor of brief promotional appearances and soundbite-driven content. For many freelancers, access is a matter of survival, as selling exclusive interviews is how they finance their travel and accommodations to Cannes and other events.

“In Berlin, it was a little bit better, with most films junketing there,...

An Upcoming Star Wars Book Can Begin The Redemption Of The Sequel Trilogy Era
Image
Nearly six years following the release of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker," Lucasfilm has mostly avoided exploring the polarizing Sequel Trilogy era. Every possible discussion — both healthy and unhealthy — regarding the pros and cons of J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson's contributions to the Skywalker Saga remains some of the more exhausting discourses within geek culture, and to re-litigate these debates would be beating a dead tauntaun. However, the aspect of the Sequel Trilogy that fans can agree upon is that Finn (John Boyega) was wasted.

Following his phenomenal introduction in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" as the male lead hero, Finn's storyline was subject to a bad game of telephone between Rian Johnson and J.J. Abrams, both of whom had differing visions for where the character's development should go. John Boyega has been vocal about his frustration regarding Finn's diminishing character trajectory, and what is particularly ironic...

The Phoenician Scheme Is ‘From The Same Well’ As The Royal Tenenbaums, Says Wes Anderson
Image
For all their abundant style, the films of Wes Anderson are always weighted with character depth. Take the detailed family drama of The Royal Tenenbaums, the wistful vitality of M Gustave in The Grand Budapest Hotel, or the youthful innocence of the young heroes in Moonrise Kingdom. For his latest film, The Phoenician Scheme, Anderson once again welcomes audiences into a world that no other filmmaker could create – but at the heart of it all is Benicio del Toro’s Zsa-zsa Korda, an eccentric businessman set to enter the pantheon of ‘Anderson Dads’.

Of course, chief in that category is Royal Tenenbaum, in The Royal Tenenbaums – a film with which The Phoenician Scheme shares certain thematic resonances. “It’s from the same well,” Anderson tells Empire, noting partial inspiration for Zsa-zsa from his own father-in-law, Fouad Malouf, to whom the film is dedicated. “There are many details from his life...

How Trump’s Tariffs Could Derail the Cannes Film Festival
Image
Tom Bernard isn’t just lugging his tuxedo with him when he travels to the Cannes Film Festival this month; the Sony Pictures Classics co-president is also stuffing his suitcase full of jerseys and T-shirts emblazoned with logos of Canadian hockey teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs. “I want people to know I’m Canadian, not American,” Bernard says. “I’ve been going to Cannes since 1985, and when things are not going well in the world, you feel it. It changes the atmosphere.”

Like many in the indie film business, however, Bernard makes his living in the U.S. That could be a problem, because the country has launched a trade war with, well, everyone. And Trump’s May 4 bombshell announcement on Truth Social that he was instituting 100% tariffs on all movies “produced in Foreign Lands” should lead to uncomfortable moments up and down the Croisette.

“They’re going to treat us like Teslas,...

Why Scarlett Johansson Made Age an Issue With ‘Eleanor the Great’
Image
Scarlett Johansson was behind the camera last year on her feature directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, fixated on the performance of title star June Squibb when she had a vision.

“I said to [one of my producing partners, Jonathan Lia], ‘If I do my job well and do what I’m supposed to do, I can imagine June walking the Croisette at age 95, starring in this incredible dramatic role that she’s so amazing in’ and I thought that would be my dream,” the veteran A-lister, 40, explains of being selected for the Cannes Film Festival. “To have it actually become a reality is amazing. I’m still processing it.”

Johansson has just days to wrap her head around what will be a milestone May with two films in the Cannes lineup. In addition to the Un Certain Regard world premiere of Eleanor the Great, Johansson will walk the Palais steps for Wes Anderson’s competition...

10 Worst Cameos In Marvel Movies & TV Shows
Image
Marvel Studios ruled the cinematic landscape from 2008 until around 2019, thanks in no small part to the novelty of its shared universe, a concept every film studio tried and failed to mimic. Beginning with Jon Favreau's "Iron Man," the Marvel Cinematic Universe successfully propelled popular heroes and villains to the big screen, culminating with enormous blockbuster events in the form of "Avengers" movies, not to mention standout hits like Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther" and Jon Watts' "Spider-Man: No Way Home."

More impressively, the MCU made frequent use of the ultimate gimmick: cameos, often arising during mid-credit scenes, which usually introduced or teased new characters like Thanos (Josh Brolin) and the Collector (Benicio del Toro), who would often go on to play vital roles in later pictures. In fact, one could argue the MCU took off due to Samuel L. Jackson's surprising appearance as Nick Fury in "Iron Man.

Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Sicario 3’ Can’t Work Without Emily Blunt After Sequel Left Her Due to Moral Reasons: “We’ve all come to the same conclusion”
Image
Taylor Sheridan is fresh off finishing his most popular project, Yellowstone, its spin-off, 1923, and the neo-Western series Land Man. While the writer and filmmaker head into multiple TV projects, his first feature film franchise, Sicario, seems to be languishing in development hell after the underwhelming response to the second film.

Apart from Sheridan’s writing and Denis Villeneuve’s direction, what made the 2015 thriller effective was Emily Blunt’s performance as the lead. Blunt sat out Sicario: Day of Soldado, which was not as acclaimed as the original, leading the makers to postpone plans for a threequel. With the third film, however, the producers want Blunt back.

“It lacked that personality”: Josh Brolin Admits ‘Sicario 2’ Wasn’t That Good and an Alleged Report Hints Taylor Sheridan Wasn’t at Fault
Image
Even Josh Brolin knew Sicario 2 didn’t hit the same. It lacked the soul, grit, and sharp edge that made the original unforgettable. Now, an alleged report may finally clear the air — Taylor Sheridan, despite writing the sequel, might not be the one to blame for its lukewarm follow-up.

With Denis Villeneuve and Roger Deakins absent from the mix, the sequel struggled to carry the same tension and cinematic punch. Sheridan’s script may’ve been solid, but the execution… not so much. Turns out, even great writing can get lost when the rest of the team isn’t firing on all cylinders.

“I needed to explore acting with someone”: Taylor Sheridan’s 10 Year Old Masterpiece Owes a Lot to One of the Best Marvel Actors
Image
I’ve always believed some films don’t scream for your attention; they whisper, almost daring you to lean in. That’s what Taylor Sheridan’s Enemy, starring Jake Gyllenhaal in a dual role as Adam Bell and Anthony Claire, did to me. And oddly enough, it became the invisible spine of Sicario: a film that looks outward at chaos but breathes like it remembers something quiet and disturbing.

Yes, before Sheridan’s script roared across the desert like a dust storm, director Denis Villeneuve took a detour through the strange, unsettling backstreets of the psyche… with none other than Gyllenhaal as his creative compass. Yes, we are talking about Marvel’s Mysterio!

And man, it shows. If Enemy was a dress rehearsal in the language of restraint and raw emotion, Sicario was the first opera sung fluently. The result? A film that doesn’t just grip you by...

MCU Canonically Refers to ‘Star Wars,’ And Somehow Nobody Noticed This Galaxy-Sized Plot Hole
Image
There aren’t too many things binding the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the Star Wars galaxy. Apart from the fact that the parent companies of both these IPs co-exist under the Walt Disney umbrella. But as anyone could tell, Lucasfilm and Marvel are far more connected than just through ownership.

Now, this isn’t as simple as a Death Star Easter egg in Spider-Man or a cheesy Obi-Wan Kenobi reference from Phil Coulson. Instead, we must look at something called the celebrity paradox.

When a character’s pop culture presence breaks through into other worlds because the actor exists in our minds as someone else from a different universe, that is a celebrity paradox. And no place is this paradox louder than two of Disney’s biggest franchises in the 21st century.

The MCU Spider-Man loves Star Wars, but that’s only the celebrity paradox Ned with the Lego Death...

The visionary behind Dune and Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve, is famous for his compelling storytelling techniques that dive into the darker aspects of humanity. Yet, when he first came across the script for Sicario, a riveting thriller about the US-Mexico drug war, his initial reaction was not what you’d expect.

The honest response pointed to just how emotionally taxing such intense narratives can be, even for experienced directors like him. What made him hesitant about taking on the film was the thought that this would be another morally complex and brutal project that would ask too much of his creative and emotional reserves.

Denis Villeneuve is not new to the emotionally taxing world of dark thrillers

Villeneuve is known for having consistently worked with darker subjects; human suffering and moral ambiguity have been recurring themes in some of his best works. Be it the intense psychological tumult in...

Taylor Sheridan: “If anyone can understand my politics, I’ve failed” on Why ‘Sicario’ Never Answered Its Biggest Question
Image
Don’t confuse silence with peace; sometimes it’s just the eye of the storm. That’s a thought that popped the moment we watched Sicario… and it’s stuck with us ever since. Taylor Sheridan didn’t hand us a clean-cut narrative; he dropped us into the fog and dared us to find clarity.

At its core, the film serves as a raw, unvarnished plate of brutal truths: the drug war, the creeping influence of the U.S. military on foreign soil, and the moral decay disguised as justice. Sheridan, who once made his bones as an actor, used Sicario to dissect the lawless modern frontier like a surgeon with a blunt scalpel. And no, he didn’t tie it up with a neat bow, because life (especially life on the edges of war and law) doesn’t come with easy answers.

Taylor Sheridan’s Vision: Exploring America’s...

Snatch: How The Misfits In Guy Ritchie’s Crime Comedy Turns Mayhem Into Masterpiece!
Image
Exploring The Misfits At The Heart Of Guy Ritchie’s Snatch ( Photo Credit – Amazon Prime Video )

Guy Ritchie never really hit the brakes. He’s been working so steadily, it’s almost easy to forget how jarring and electric his early films felt. When most crime thrillers were still echoing the Quentin Tarantino boom of the 90s—full of pop-culture chatter, and over-the-top gore, Ritchie came swinging with his own distinctly British chaos.

The London underworld had been explored before, but not quite like this. His stories weren’t just blood-soaked or cheeky. They were riddled with misdirection and a kind of street-smart slapstick. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels got his foot in the door, but Snatch cemented his place as a master of mayhem with a pen dipped in grit and wit.

Meet Turkish & Tommy

Snatch doesn’t really care about leading men or tidy resolutions. It throws together a patchwork of thugs,...

A 7-Year-Old Taylor Sheridan Movie Proved Why He Should Never Work on Sequels and I’m Looking At ‘Yellowstone’
Image
When I watched Sicario: Day of the Soldado, it was like biting a burger expecting juicy goodness, only to find it’s all bun and no beef! Seven years ago, Taylor Sheridan penned a script that left me with the cinematic equivalent of a soggy toast: the idea’s there, but the flavor’s gone.

Well, despite what the critics scribbled in their notepads, Sicario: Day of the Soldado left me cold and questioning. I know it earned a decent pat on the back from critics, but to me, it felt like an echo chasing a shout. The original Sicario gripped you by the collar and whispered moral chaos into your ear.

But Sicario 2: Soldado? It strutted in like it understood the assignment, only to miss every vital beat that made its predecessor land so hard. Sheridan seemed to have missed the mark with this one. His foray into sequels & prequels,...

The Cannes/Oscars Connection: Could One of This Year’s Fest Titles Wind Up the Next ‘Anora’?
Image
For many years after the 1955 film Marty won the Cannes Film Festival’s Palme d’Or and then went on to win the best picture Oscar, there was little additional evidence of a Cannes/Oscars connection. But in the last five years, both Parasite and — just months ago — Anora followed in Marty’s footsteps.

Indeed, within the last year, specifically, the relevance of one event to the other became harder than ever to dispute, as an unprecedented 31 Oscar noms were allocated to films that had played in Cannes — spread between Anora, The Apprentice, Emilia Pérez, Flow, The Girl with the Needle, The Man Who Could Not Remain Silent, The Seed of the Sacred Fig and The Substance — and 40 percent of the eventual Oscar winners traced back to the fest, including Anora (best picture, director, actress, original screenplay and film editing), Emilia Pérez (original song), Flow (animated feature) and The Substance...

4K Uhd Blu-ray Review: Julian Schnabel’s ‘Basquiat’ on the Criterion Collection
Image
Julian Schnabel’s Basquiat is often at war with itself. At times, it effortlessly captures Jean-Michel Basquiat (Jeffrey Wright) and the Manhattan art world in which he flourished with bracing authenticity, only for it to become weighed down by biopic clichés that flatten out its characterizations. For every patient sequence that sits back and allows the audience to observe Basquiat at work, carefully detailing his process, there are two more that feel like they were ripped straight from the artist biopic playbook.

As great a song as Modern Lovers’s “Girlfriend” is, playing it over the scene in which Basquiat meets soon-to-be girlfriend Gina (Claire Forlani)—a composite of Basquiat’s real-life girlfriends, including Suzanne Mallouk and Madonna—is impossibly on the nose. And that scene is followed up by another in which Basquiat and his best friend, Benny (Benicio del Toro), see a character on TV utter what would...

Leonardo DiCaprio and Teyana Taylor empty clips in new posters for Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another
Image
Leonardo DiCaprio and Teyana Taylor are breaking out the big guns for their new character posters for Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. The comedic crime thriller doesn’t infiltrate theaters until September 26, but Warner Bros. Pictures wants PTA fans to ride the hype train for as long as possible.

According to The Film Stage, One Battle After Another is a retelling of Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel “Vineland,” set in California during the fallout of President Ronald Reagan’s re-election and the political unrest that followed.

In November, industry insider Daniel Richtman posted details about the plot for One Battle After Another. According to Richtman, Regina Hall plays Dl Chastain, a character from the Vineland novel who is a martial arts expert and ninja. “She is the daughter of a military family that moves around the world,” reads the description. “While in Japan, she is approached by a...

Despite Mixed Reviews, Taylor Sheridan's Divisive Sequel to Hit Action Film Continues to Impress on Streaming
Image
Taylor Sheridan's partnership with Paramount+ led to many projects following the success of Yellowstone. However, Sheridan made his screenwriting debut with 2015's Sicario.

The action film Sicario is widely regarded as one of the best movies in the genre. However, three years later, the sequel, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, failed to live up to the original's legacy. Despite the poor reception and an underwhelming theatrical run, Sicario: Day of the Soldado continues to be a hit on Netflix, per Tudum.

2015's Sicario premiered on Netflix on Mar. 2. Shortly after, the action film, which had Dune director Denis Villeneuve at the helm, became a hit on streaming. The movie starred Emily Blunt, Josh Brolin, and Benicio Del Toro, following the FBI's initiation to destabilize a Mexican drug cartel.

The first installment was a major hit, as it competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, and boasts...

Taylor Sheridan and Michael B. Jordan’s Critically Panned Conspiracy Thriller Just Raided a New Streamer’s Top 10
Image
Michael B. Jordan has a new movie coming to theaters next weekend, but before Sinners drops worldwide, one of his more recent flicks is making a shocking run on streaming. Jordan stars alongside Jodie Turner-Smith and Guy Pearce in Without Remorse, the 2021 conspiracy thriller based on the famous Tom Clancy novel of the same name. Without Remorse is a Prime Video original film that premiered on the platform four years ago, but it recently began streaming on Hulu and has become the fifth most popular movie on the platform. Without Remorse earned “rotten” scores of 45% from critics and 41% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and the film follows an elite Navy Seal who goes down a dark path to avenge his wife’s murder, only to find himself entangled in something much bigger than he imagined.

Will Staples teamed up with Taylor Sheridan to write the screenplay for Without Remorse, and Stefano Sollima directed the film.

Image
The lineup for the 78th Cannes Film Festival has officially been announced. As of today, 19 films will be competing for the prestigious top prize, the Palme d’Or, which last year was won by Sean Baker's Anora. This year’s festival runs between May 13 and May 24, and the jury is headed by actress Juliette Binoche. Binoche won the Best Actress award at Cannes in 2010 for Certified Copy and an Oscar in 1996 for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The English Patient.

Two of this year’s entries come from directors who have won the Palme in the past. Another three are from helmers who have won prizes in official competition other than the Palme. Seven selections are from directors who are having their first films screened in competition.

Cannes can also be a place to see the first glimpses of major Oscar contenders. Last year, three of the...

Scarlett Johansson and Harris Dickinson to Premiere Directorial Debuts at Cannes 2025
Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson and Harris Dickinson will both premiere their first feature films as directors at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, with each selected for the Un Certain Regard section. The announcement was made during a press conference in Paris by festival delegate general Thierry Frémaux and president Iris Knobloch.

Johansson’s film, Eleanor the Great, features June Squibb as a 90-year-old woman from Florida who forms an unlikely connection with a 19-year-old student in New York City. The cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht, and Erin Kellyman. Johansson, known for her roles in the Marvel film series, shifts focus with a character-driven narrative centered on late-life friendship and personal discovery.

Dickinson’s debut, Urchin, follows a drifter on the streets of London, played by Frank Dillane. The film explores themes of social isolation and systemic failure. In an interview published last year, Dickinson described the project as a portrait of individuals often overlooked.

From Tom Cruise To Emma Stone: Which Stars Are Likely To Walk The Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet?
Image
Among the lineup for the Cannes Film Festival’s 78th edition are some big names from Hollywood and global cinema. We already knew that Tom Cruise will light the fuse on Paramount/Skydance’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning on May 14 out of competition, while there was plenty of speculation that Scarlett Johansson would have a pair of movies on the Croisette. The latter has now been confirmed with Johansson’s directorial debut Eleanor the Great set for Un Certain Regard, and her acting reteam with Wes Anderson in his latest, The Phoenician Scheme, in Competition. Also confirmed is Ari Aster’s Eddington with Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal and Emma Stone.

Many more stars are potentially in store now that the bulk of the official selection has been revealed. Not everyone is confirmed to attend the Riviera shindig, but here’s a look at some of the possibilities.

‘The Phoenician Scheme’: Release Date, Cast, Plot, and All We Know So Far About Wes Anderson’s Next Movie
Image
Wes Anderson just dropped the trailer for his next movie, and yes, it’s serving retro spy vibes with a splash of pastel chaos. Written and directed by Anderson from a story he created with Roman Coppola, The Phoenician Scheme is a black comedy that radiates chaotic brilliance before it even drops. Dropping in the summer of 2025, the movie is already turning heads for all the right reasons and no, you don’t need to know the plot to be obsessed. The vibes are immaculate.

From the second the trailer hit, it was clear: this isn’t just another quirky Wes flick but a full-on cinematic aesthetic bomb. We’re talking saturated color palettes, slow pans, oddly specific occupations, and dialogue so dry it crackles. If you live for Anderson’s perfect blend of heart and hyper-artifice, this one’s going straight to the top of your Letterbox.
