Fang Flanagan. That’s who Liam Neeson is going to be playing in his next action role, in the film Mongoose. More here.
Another deal from Cannes Film Festival has been announced and it looks like Liam Neeson is signing up for some cross country vehicular mayhem.
The Taken (pictured) star once expressed some concern that his upcoming comedic turn in The Naked Gun remake (currently in production) could signal the end of his career and as unlikely as that might seem, should it prove to be the case, there’s no need to worry because Liam Neeson will at the very least get to make Mongoose.
But what is Mongoose? Glad you asked. Mongoose is a cross country car chase movie, starring the undisputed king of the action thriller. This time, Liam Neeson stars as the wonderfully-named ‘Ryan “Fang” Flanagan, a war hero who, accused of a crime he...

Geroge Lucas changed the face of the galaxy far, far away when the first installment in the prequel trilogy of Star Wars movies was released in 1999. The Phantom Menace introduced viewers to the character of Qui-Gon Jinn, played by Liam Neeson, who plays an integral role in the stories of both Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn was not in George Lucas’ plans for The Phantom Menace.
However, according to reports, Lucas’ original plans for the film almost did not include Neeson’s character. Moreover, when Lucas did plan to incorporate the Qui-Gon Jinn character, the initial idea was so outrageous that it would have not only upset loyal fans of the franchise but it is hard to imagine Obi-Wan actor Ewan McGregor being on board with it. Here is everything you need to know about the original plan for Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace.

Jar Jar Binks has undeniably been a controversial addition to Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Fans expressed dissatisfaction and viewed him as an annoying companion that detracts from the main storyline.

Watching movies on the big screen is an indulgence these days. Everyone prefers sitting in their homes, opening Netflix or Prime or any other streaming site, and watching whatever they feel like. But seems like viewers will have to indulge a little more than usual if they want to experience movies and not just watch them. Just ask Christopher Nolan, and he can tell you all about the IMAX experience.

For some years now, Nicolas Cage has been a genre unto himself: desperate, deranged, deliciously cheesy, with that special mastery of dialogue that moves seamlessly from a panting whisper to a bellow and back again. Put Cage’s name above the title and your film has an immediate brand that not only rides over script glitches but does a full Fast and Furious speed-jump over the top of any yawning gaps in probability.

The accusations against former producer Harvey Weinstein resulted in a series of similar cases in Hollywood, one of which was opened against two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, who was then earning praise for his work on the series House of Cards. Spacey was first accused of inappropriate behavior by actor Anthony Rapp, after which 15 other alleged victims came forward. Several cases were opened, and Spacey was tried in both the United States and the United Kingdom, but as it turned out, Spacey was cleared of all the charges made against him, which led to a series of reactions.
Namely, as you might have assumed, Kevin Spacey was blacklisted completely and his career was destroyed because of these proceedings. No one wanted to hire him and while he himself decided to withdraw from the public, the actor had vehemently denied the allegations, especially those of a criminal nature.
So, what actually happened there?...

Now, a recent report has revealed the movie’s alleged runtime, and it has already broken the previous two movies’ runtimes. Keep scrolling for more.
Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as the Merc with a Mouth, but the biggest attraction is Hugh Jackman’s return as Logan. Also, it is the first time fans are witnessing Hugh donning the comic-accurate yellow and blue costume of Wolverine. Kevin Spacey addressed the latest accusations against him tonight during a live TV appearance on NewsNation’s Cuomo.
In his first live appearance in years, Spacey told host Chris Cuomo he “wants to get back to work” and has “learned” from his experiences.
“I’m trying to show that I’ve listened. I’ve learned. I’ve got the memo,” Spacey said. “I feel very strongly that whatever mistakes I’ve made in my life, that I paid a price.”
A two-part documentary, “Spacey Unmasked,” recently aired in the U.K. and is now streaming on Max. It examines Spacey’s alleged sexual misconduct, including a claim that he allegedly groped another House of Cards actor on set.
Spacey denies the new allegations of inappropriate behavior from the men who were featured in the documentary.

Update: In his first mainstream television interview in years (excerpted by THR), Kevin Spacey sat down with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation to address what’s being seen as resistance (by some) to his return to acting. While he acknowledges those who have supported him, such as Neeson and Stone, he blames fear for the fact that many have only reached out to him privately rather than publically. “But there are also people that I’ve spoken to who, they love me, they believe in me. They’ve stood with me in private… but they’re afraid to stand up. And I’ve been very fortunate that people have been honest with me about that. And I think that’s a shame, that we’ve come to a place as a society where people are afraid to say what they believe and what they feel because they’re afraid they’re going to get canceled too.

Kevin Spacey spoke to Chris Cuomo in a NewsNation interview on Thursday that marked his first television appearance in years.
During the interview, Spacey said he is “so much happier today, living a more authentic and open life.”
“Now, I want to prove that I’m a man of great character,” he said. “I look forward to being able to prove to people that that I am the merit of who I am as a human being.”
Spacey has not worked in Hollywood since several men accused him of sexual misconduct beginning in 2017. In 2022, a New York jury deemed he was not liable in the 1980s assault of actor Anthony Rapp, and last summer, he was acquitted of nine charges brought against him in London. Several other lawsuits have also been dropped, but this month, 10 more men came forward with alleged abuse in Spacey Unmasked, a two-part Channel 4 documentary directed by Katherine Haywood.

Kevin Spacey is facing another sexual assault trial in the UK next year, but today the two-time Oscar winner saw some major star power in his corner.
Liam Neeson, Sharon Stone and Stephen Fry have come forward with unequivocal support for Spacey as the much-accused actor has been back in the spotlight via new Channel 4 docuseries with even more allegations of severe misconduct.
“I was deeply saddened to learn of these accusations against him,” Taken franchise star Neesom told the Telegraph today. “Kevin is a good man and a man of character. He’s sensitive, articulate and non-judgmental, with a terrific sense of humour. He is also one of our finest artists in the theatre and on camera.
“Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly,” Neeson, no total stranger to controversy himself, concluded.
Basic Instinct star Stone told the UK broadsheet: “I can’t wait to see Kevin back at work.

Sharon Stone, Liam Neeson and more actors are coming to the defense of Kevin Spacey and calling for his return to the industry at large. Okay, we all loved the original Star Wars trilogy. George Lucas’ unique vision defined the space opera genre and gave us some epic movies that we will love for years to come. But remember when the Prequel Trilogy came out? Sure, by the time the Revenge of the Sith came out, fans were more satisfied with the story, but do you remember how much hate was directed towards Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace when it first came out? And it wasn’t just Jar-Jar Binks that people hated – it was the whole concept and many parts of the story.

The original Star Wars trilogy was loved by one and all with George Lucas’ innovative creation, pushing boundaries in storytelling. The introduction of a whole new world filled with fantastical elements, rich characters, and interesting lore captivated audiences in the 70s and 80s. When “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” debuted on May 19, 1999, few movies before (or since) were greeted with more fevered anticipation. Not only was the movie the first new “Star Wars” movie in a generation, but it was touted as the first of a prequel trilogy charting the tragedy of Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi Knight fated to turn to the dark side as Darth Vader.
Despite the breathless build up, by the end of that summer, the near-universal consensus was that “The Phantom Menace” was, at best, a colossal disappointment and, at worst, a calamitous embarrassment. Some blamed the decision by George Lucas — directing for the first time since 1977’s “A New Hope” — to start the story with a precocious 9-year-old Anakin (Jake Lloyd). Others railed against the slapstick antics and pidgin English of Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best), hyped as the first-ever CG main character in a live-action movie.

Revenge flicks are nothing new on the market, and while we’ve always had them, there was a proper little boom of such movies after the success of Liam Neeson’s Taken. Now, many have tried, some have failed, some have succeeded in making a good revenge flick, and while we don’t know if the movie we are reporting about is going to succeed or fail, it is certainly going to be one of the most original takes on the genre. Namely, legendary Oscar-nominee June Squibb (94) is probably the last name you’d think of when searching for a revenge flick star, but this year’s upcoming movie Thelma is going to deliver just that. The movie has just released its first trailer and you will be able to check it out below.

There have been rumblings for a while now that Marvel Studios has big plans for Chris Evans' Captain America in the MCU. We've already heard chatter about a Human Torch cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine (not to mention the actor's long-awaited return as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Secret Wars), but how about a TV show?
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, a limited series is in development for Disney+ which will revolve around Captain America returning the Infinity Stones to their correct place in time following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
This is a story fans have long said they want to see, and a show like this would be a good way to make Marvel Studios' streaming offering feel like must-watch event TV again (which was the case when WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier launched in 2021).
We've heard about possible plans for this TV show before, so here's hoping it's finally moving forward.

The program for amfAR’s milestone 30th Cannes gala is growing.
