Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) did not end the penultimate episode of Chicago Fire season 13 on a high note. The 51 chief was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder, and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) was tasked with clearing his name. Whether or not Severide will be successful remains to be seen, but we think Pascal will be done at 51 regardless of the legal outcome.
"The Bad Guy" was an important episode in multiple regards. It laid the groundwork for the finale, and allowed Severide to wield arson investigation skills that have been tucked away for the majority of the season. The biggest takeaway of the episode, however, was Pascal's backstory. We were introduced to the character as someone with a controversial reputation in Miami, but we got through almost the entire season without an explanation as to why. "The Bad Guy" finally gave us the answer.

Chicago Fire Season 12, Episode 21, "The Bad Guy," had Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) team up in an unlikely turn of events. Pascal wanted to prove his innocence in the attempted murder of Robert Franklin, the driver involved in the accident that resulted in his wife's death. Severide wanted to believe Pascal was innocent and was looking to prove that he'd been framed. However, it seemed clear with every passing scene that Pascal was guilty. He's done it before and had the means, motive, and opportunity to do it again. The logline for Episode 22, "It Had to End This Way," reads: "Severide puts his job on the line to help out one of their own; Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) navigates Natalie's complicated relationship with her sister; Herrmann (David Eigenberg) prepares to take the Chief test." NBC released a sneak peek of the season finale airing next week on May 21.

"The Bad Guy" is a change of pace from the episode that preceded it. "Cut Me Open" may sound morbid on the surface, but the Chicago Fire story revolved around the personal lives of two of its most beloved characters: Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney).
"The Bad Guy," on the other hand, is an investigation into the complicated career of Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), and the crime he may have committed using Cfd tools. Spoilers ahead!
The episode kicked off with some general 51 housekeeping. Kidd and Severide discussed how sad they were by the fact that they didn't become parents, and how they wanted to focus on work in the meantime. Then there was Herrmann (David Eigenberg), who made quite the awkward discovery as he was preparing to take his chief exam.
Apparently, Herrmann needs a recommendation from his chief before he can officially take the exam.

Mark Feuerstein is a rabbi hunting down a killer in the new Collider-exclusive trailer for Guns & Moses. The neo-Western thriller also stars Neal McDonough, Dermot Mulroney, and Christopher Lloyd. It will be released in theaters on July 18, 2025, by Pictures From The Fringe and Concourse Media. In the trailer for the film, Feuerstein is Mo Zaltzman, a rabbi in a small desert town that's rocked by a shocking act of violence: a shooting at a gala honoring solar entrepreneur Alan Rosner (Mulroney), seemingly motivated by anti-Semitism.
A local skinhead is picked up for the crime, but Mo becomes increasingly convinced that he's innocent. He begins looking into suspects, including the mayor (McDonough), Rosner's mysterious wife (Mercedes Mason) and troubled brother (Michael B. Silver), a scientist whose career Rosner destroyed (Paulo Costanzo), and even Rosner himself. Meanwhile, Mo takes firearms training himself for self-defense...and just in time, too, as the...

As the One Chicago franchise prepares to sign off for the season next week, NBC has some great news for fans. All three shows will return for the 2025-2026 TV season, and NBC is not making any changes regarding the schedule. Fans of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. will keep enjoying One Chicago Wednesdays come Fall. The shows maintain their night and airtime with Med kicking off the night at 8 p.m., Fire at 9 p.m., and P.D. closing the night at 10 p.m. Et. This has been a long-running tradition since the franchise became a thing, allowing viewers to experience all three tones of the One Chicago shows. Two episodes are left in the season, and everything escalates from here on out.
On Chicago Med, the threat that has been looming for a while, especially since the Season 10 premiere, finally catches up to the Ed.

One Chicago has done an excellent job of cultivating different flavors for its three shows. Chicago Fire is the ambitious, multi-faceted thriller that offers death-defying feats, Chicago Med is the talky one-location drama, and Chicago Pd offers intrigue and grim investigations. Every once in a while, though the thematic interests of these shows align, and that is where we will find ourselves on May 14.
The promos for all three shows have been released, and we couldn't help but notice that each of them feature nearly identical stories involving corruption and a quest to expunge the person who's abusing their power. Chicago Med is playing this out with Hayes (Brendan Hines) after its alleged the doctor sexually harassed Cardiothoracic Resident Naomi Howard (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut).
Dr. Hayes has clearly determined that he's above punishment, which is what makes the upcoming case in "Baby Mine..." such a big deal. Dr. Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson...

One Chicago is experiencing growing pains. The franchise has been around since 2012, and like most shows that have crossed the decade mark, it's gone up in cost and cast salary. NBC renewed all three of the franchise's shows, but the network also laid down some ground rules regarding the amount of time actors appear in a given season. These rules were on full display Wednesday, May 7.
Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd aired new episodes, and all three of them were missing crucial cast members. Med was down Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) despite the character's brief cameo on Chicago Fire. The firefighting drama had to make due without four of its central characters, including Sam Carver (Jake Lockett), Lizzie Novak (Jocelyn Hudon), Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), and Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith).

Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) hit a personal and professional low point when his wife Monica (KaDee Strickland) was killed in Chicago Fire season 13. The character spiraled, looking for someone to blame, and acted recklessly on the job despite the consequences it had on his safety and career. We thought the worst was behind him, but the promo for "The Bad Guy" suggests otherwise.
The episode title definitely caught our eye when we first glimpsed it, but we did not expect Pascal to be the one positioned as the titular character. The promo shows that the man responsible for causing the car accident that took Monica Pascal's life gets caught up in another freak accident. Or at least, it resembles a freak accident.
Pascal is prime suspect in attempted murder

Chicago Fire has been on the air for 13 seasons, and its firefighters have been saving lives for even longer. Eventually, the notion of retirement is going to come up, but we did not expect it to rear its ugly head the way it did during the recent episode "Cut Me Open." Suddenly, the career of one of Fire's most liked characters is in jeopardy.
We're talking, of course, about Mouch (Christian Stolte). He was earmarked, alongside his buddy Mouch (David Eigenberg), as the firefighters most likely to be affected by the layoffs that are being put into play by the Chicago Fire Department. The performance efficiency expert who made this ruling noted that Mouch is nearing retirement age, which makes him easier to cut (in theory).

Dom Pascal's (Dermot Mulroney) world has not been the same since Monica Pascal (KaDee Strickland) died in an unfortunate road accident. The death of his wife turned Dom's world upside down, and the problem was that there was no one to blame for it. After spending a lot of time trying to find the evidence to implicate the other driver involved in the accident, it seemed like Pascal had accepted the reality of the situation and moved on. However, a sneak peek of Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 21, "The Bad Guy," hints that nothing was as resolved as everyone believed. In the episode airing next Wednesday, May 14, Severide (Taylor Kinney) investigates a car fire and uncovers surprising evidence. Meanwhile, Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) strengthens her bond with Natalie during a road trip, and Violet (Hanako Greensmith) receives a career opportunity after being featured in a local newspaper.

Italian producer Andrea Iervolino has boarded “Captivated,” a mob thriller starring Al Pacino and Katie Holmes that seeks to provide a different take on the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III than Ridley Scott’s “All the Money in the World.” The long-gestating film is set to start shooting in Rome later this month.
“Captivated,” directed by Dito Montiel, tells the story of the 1973 kidnapping of Getty III and the unexpected bond between Calabrian mafia boss Saro Mammoliti (to be played by Pacino in his older version) and Gail Getty, mother of Getty III, to be played by Holmes.
They are “two souls from completely different worlds, drawn together by a tragedy that will forever change their lives,” says the provided synopsis. “Amid psychological tension and subtle desire, theirs is a seductive game of chess that adds a crucial layer to the mystery of the Getty kidnapping.”

Chicago Fire has not skimped out on the action in season 13. The firefighting drama has been jam packed during the second half of the season, in particular, and the episode "Cut Me Open" kept up this breakneck pace. Spoilers ahead!
The episode opened with an excited and slightly nervous Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) discussing their plans to adopt a child with 51 co-workers. Herrmann (David Eigenberg) gave them some much-needed words of encouragement, which makes sense given that he's a dad to five children, but these firefighters charted different paths shortly after.
Kidd and Severide thought they still had weeks before the woman, named Jade, who planned to give up her baby for adoption was due. Jade was under the same impression, as she'd yet to get through the entire adoption process before she suddenly went into labor. She was going to have to meet...

We thought that we had taken our losses on April 16. That was the day Deadline confirmed that Darren Ritter (Daniel Kyri) and Sam Carver (Jake Lockett) would not be coming back for another season of Chicago Fire. The more we have learned about the show's future, however, the more we've come to realize more characters are at risk. Especially come the season finale.
The details surrounding the final episode of season 13 have been scarce, but TV Line let the cat out of the bag when it revealed the three storylines that would drive the episode. Two of them focus on the show's power couple, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) but the third focuses on Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and his decision to take the chief exam.

Chicago Fire is rounding third base on its current season, and the finale episode is in sight. It's going to be an exciting, albeit bittersweet finale, given that the show is going to part ways with two notable cast members. We can't determine how these characters will be written off, but we can determine how many episodes season 13 will release as a whole.
Chicago Fire season 13 is going to consist of 22 episodes when all is said and done. This may not seem like a big deal, but it's actually a very encouraging sign for a show that was hit hard, like so many others, by the Hollywood strikes. The show's twelfth season featured only 13 episodes, and several of the storylines that were planned were presumably cut short due to this limited screen time.

Chicago Fire has decided to show Sam Carver (Jake Lockett) the door. The character has grown steadily in popularity over the last three seasons, but now, he only has three episodes left to wrap up his story. It's a tough decision, and one we feel like could have been avoided given how integral he's become to the show.
In a perfect world, we would not cut any Chicago Fire characters from the show. They all bring something unique and exciting to the table. But that is not the world we live in, and decided to put ourselves in the tough decision of making a cut. And here are two of the people who could have taken Carver's place on the chopping block. Not an endorsement, but we think we have pretty good cases.

The next action thriller from Scott Adkins just got an exciting new look. Collider is thrilled to partner with Grindstone Entertainment to debut the first trailer for Diablo, the upcoming kidnapping thriller in which Adkins stars alongside Marko Zaror and Alanna De La Rossa. The film follows Kris Chaney (Adkins), a former convict who gets released and goes on a dangerous mission. He kidnaps Elisa, the daughter of a powerful drug lord, Vicente, which leaves them both in grave danger from a sociopathic killer hell-bent on revenge against Vicente’s family. The first trailer showcases stunning hand-to-hand combat reminiscent of the John Wick franchise, where Adkins most recently appeared in John Wick: Chapter 4. Adkins plays Killa across from Keanu Reeves in the film, the card dealer who gets into a fight with John at the nightclub.

For thirteen years, the likes of Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), and the rest of the crew at the fictional Firehouse 51 have been blessing NBC with endless, blazing entertainment. However, judging by the critical reception to the current season, it is clear to see that the general opinion on the series is much stronger now than it used to be. This will, of course, have been the aim of the show's creators, Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, with the chance to see one of their creations still growing from strength to strength, even thirteen years on, the dream of everyone in the industry.

The episode "Permanent Damage" explores the paranoia and fear that Damon has about his condition.

Mark Wahlberg kicked off this year with the aviation thriller, Flight Risk, which was directed by Mel Gibson, but nearly 20 years ago, he starred as a one-man army in an action thriller dominating streaming charts. Wahlberg features alongside Michael Peña and Kate Mara in Shooter, the 2007 political thriller following an expert marksman living in exile who is forced back into his old life after being double-crossed and blamed for an assassination attempt on the President’s life. Shooter has been streaming on Paramount+ for years, but the film has recently resurfaced in the streamer’s top 10, sitting at #5 at the time of writing. Shooter earned scores of 47% from critics and 80% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and the film grossed $95 million at the box office against a $61 million budget.
Shooter is based on the novel Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter, and Jonathan Lemkin adapted the book with Antoine Fuqua directing.

Chicago Fire has been an intense place in the past couple of months. The tragedy which befell Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), as the show killed off his wife, Monica (KaDee Strickland), and how he has reacted to it since has been at the fore. The return of one of its key characters, Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), has also stolen the spotlight on the show with minds turning away from one interesting storyline. Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and her husband, Kelly Severide's (Taylor Kinney) relationship has been a cornerstone of the show for sometime now. The couple have long since discussed the prospect of expanding their family, but that has been held off for sometime. But that seems set to change.

We were fully expecting heads to roll in Chicago Fire's latest episode, "Post Mortem." An accident occurred on the job, and Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) returned to determine who was at fault. It was a tense affair, and one that ultimately led to Firehouse 51 being cleared of any wrongdoing. The aforementioned accident did, however, bolster a rivalry we've gradually seen more of in season 13.
Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) has repeatedly been questioned and challenged by Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg), and it felt as though this conflict came to a head in "Post Mortem." It was Pascal who ordered an evacuation after a house fire spiraled out of control. It was later revealed that Jack Damon (Michael Bradway) was left behind, and nearly died as a result of his injuries.

Chicago Fire decided to fold bombshell news into the scheduling of its April 16 episode "Post Mortem." The series confirmed that Daniel Kyri and Jake Lockett will be leaving the show after season 13 just as the episode was airing on NBC. It was a bitter pill to swallow, especially since viewers were forced to watch another firefighter's life hang in the balance.
Daniel Kyri has played Darren Ritter on Chicago Fire for seven seasons, and Jake Lockett has played Sam Carver for three. They have both become fan favorites, and the latter is even involved in one of the show's most notable on again/off again romances. We were completely taken aback by the news, as most fans were, but we're sorry to report that the actors may not be alone in being written off the firefighting drama.

It hasn’t happened yet.
Carver’s still here — fresh out of rehab, stepping back into Firehouse 51 with more baggage than ever and a fighting chance at redemption. But according to Deadline, Jake Lockett is out at the end of Chicago Fire Season 13.
And if that’s true? Then Chicago Fire is about to make a massive mistake. Because Carver isn’t just another character, he’s one of the best arcs this show has had in years.
(Peter Gordon/NBC)
He didn’t come in likable. He didn’t come in polished.
He came in with friction — rough edges, guarded posture, and a whole lot of something simmering under the surface — and that’s what made him work.

Chicago Fire really built up anticipation for "Post Mortem." The episode was heavily promoted by showrunner Andrea Newman and returning star Eamonn Walker, who hadn't appeared on the show since the season 12 finale. "Post Mortem" was anything but a warm reunion, however. The episode delivered on the chaos promised in the tense promo, and marked a seismic shift for Firehouse 51.
Here's what you need to know about "Post Mortem," aka the most important episode of Chicago Fire season 13. Spoilers Ahead.
It's rare to see the level of intrigue and mystery that we get in the opening scene. Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) is shown watching a news broadcast in a waiting room. The news explains that a firefighter was severely injured in a burning house. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) eventually show up, and Herrmann wonders aloud how a firefighter could have been left behind. "We cleared that house,...

A crackling bulletin on Kiwa radio sets the stage: humanity hurtles toward oblivion with an asteroid cluster bearing down, its timetable etched into every ticker. Wallace Boden has only been gone from Chicago Fire for less than a season, but the fan-favorite character has been sorely missed since his departure in the Season 12 finale. While Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) has stepped into Boden’s former role, many fans feel he hasn’t quite filled the void left by the beloved former chief. Thankfully, Boden will return in tonight's episode, Season 13, Episode 18 "Post Mortem," with Eamonn Walker returning to reprise the role. While the fans will appreciate this return, the longing for more Boden remains, with some fans wishing his return could be more permanent rather than a single-episode guest appearance. Those fans will be pleased to learn that Walker is open to featuring in the show for as much as the producers want him.

Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) was the chosen one. He was the veteran who was pegged by Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) to replace him as Chief in Chicago Fire's season 12 finale. It made sense on paper. Herrmann is a good worker, well-liked by all, and he knows what it means to put ones life on the line on a regular basis.
Herrmann didn't have the credentials or the know how when the Boden conversation occurred, hence the arrival of Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), but it seemed like it was only a matter of time until he put the pieces together and showed himself to be ready for this increased responsibility. Or so we thought. Because as of right now, we doubt Herrmann will ever lead Firehouse 51.

Chicago Fire is gearing up for the biggest episode of season 13 thus far. The way the episode "Post Mortem" has been hyped by actors and producers, you'd think it was a season finale. A character will be caught in the rubble of a collapsed building, and may very well die as a result of their injuries.
To make matters even worse, Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) is coming in to investigate what went wrong, and all signs point to the former 51 Chief firing whoever he deems responsible for the tragedy. That's potentially two Chicago Fire characters gone in the span of a single episode. Naturally, we have some thoughts.
We don't know who will end up going down in "Post Mortem," but these are the most likely candidates based on the context of season 13.

When Boden (Eamonn Walker) returns to Chicago Fire, things will be a little different than he left them. For one, there is a new chief who took over from him. However, Boden had blessed longtime Firehouse 51 member Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) as his successor should the latter choose to pursue that path. After trying, Herrmann was not convinced this was his path and the new chief noticed Herrmann's desire to withdraw from pursuing the position. "That same thing that Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) picks up on will be a discovery for Boden within this episode, I can give you that. But there’s no resolve to it, because growth is painful, and you don’t just one day pass an exam and all of a sudden you know how to do the job," Walker told TV Line of Boden's realization that Herrmann might not be interested in the position.

Chicago Fire has had no shortage of eventful occurrances in season 13. The firefighting drama has subjected us to break ups, addiction issues, the death of loved ones and the adoption of children. It has run the gamut of emotions, as all good Chicago Fire seasons do. But the April 16 episode, titled "Post Mortem," is going to trump all of these plot points.
"Post Mortem" is going to dish out the most devastating revelations of the season over the course of its hour long runtime. The episode will hinge upon the return of Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), and the professional fallout that occurs when a firefighter gets left behind in a building collapse. Not only will the firefighter in question potentially lose their life, but someone will potentially lose their job.

Sam Carver (Jake Lockett) has caught absolutely no breaks in Chicago Fire season 13. One could argue the character has had the roughest season of anyone not named Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), between his love life and his personal struggles. Still, there is hope for the fan favorite firefighter.
Carver is coming back in the anticipated episode "Post Mortem." An undoubtedly bleak title and story to return to, but we are eager to see how the firefighter acclimates nonetheless. He was keen to kick his drinking habit last we saw him, and 51 chatter during his absence confirmed that he had checked himself into a rehab facility. Carver's troubles are not behind him, however.

It’s that time of year when we know that more cancellations and renewals are likely to come. There are still far too many shows on the bubble, and it’s hard to call which way the networks will go with some of the shows. That’s certainly the case with the NBC shows.
While I would love to see everything make it through because I think the hard work of the cast and crew deserves to be recognized, there are certain shows that I want to see more than others. One Chicago has undergone lots of cast changes over the past two years. All three shows have seen the departure of centerpiece characters, and the arrival of newcomers who have done a spectacular job of keeping the momentum going. Nobody has been a bust, we can confidently say, but even if the fans love a certain character, that does not mean they are safe from getting written out.
We have seen Chicago Fire and Chicago Med characters leave the show in the same season in which they debut. It's always unexpected, given the time and effort put into setting them up, but it's a thing we've grown accustomed to, and should consider moving forward. Hence this article. There are many new characters who have undergone crises in the 2024-25 season, to the point where their future is uncertain. We decided to predict which of them will be shown the door before 2025-26 rolls around.

Set in the early 1990s in a gritty, urban backdrop reminiscent of Richmond, California, the film opens with a scene that shocks the viewer: Gabe, a working-class man with a hidden propensity for violence, brutally assaults a local bully in full view of his young son, Eli. This single act of brutality sets a powerful narrative engine in motion. The film wastes no time in establishing the weight of its themes.
We watch as Eli, caught in the immediate aftermath of that violent day, embarks on a path steeped in conflict and uncertainty. The story tracks his transformation from a boy marked by a singular moment of horror into a man wrestling with a legacy of aggression and moral ambiguity.
Eli’s character is molded by the shadow of his father’s actions—a legacy that seems to cast a long, unavoidable shade over his every decision. As he navigates...

#OneChicago’s trio of shows each introduced a new series regular (or two) this season, and now that we’re getting closer to finale time, TVLine is checking in on how the recruits have fared.
Over on Chicago Med, the hospital hired two additions, Army vet-turned-ed head Dr. Caitlin Lenox and TV actor-turned-ed pediatrician Dr. John Frost. Chicago Fire also tapped a new leader, Dom Pascal, to replace Chief Boden following his portrayer Eamonn Walker’s exit in the Season 12 finale. And last but not least, Chicago P.D. expanded its Intelligence unit with Officer Kiana Cook after losing Detective Upton last year.

Eamonn Walker has really make a ruckus when it comes to his impending Chicago Fire return. The actor already had eyes on him, due to the fact that he hasn't appeared on the show in a year, but his recent Deadline interview has drummed up lots of excitement (and concern) about the episode "Post Mortem."
We knew Walker's character, Wallace Boden, would be all business coming back to Firehouse 51, and would be forced to contend with a dire situation, but the actor made it clear that the stakes are higher than we initially thought. Especially when it comes to the future of Chief Pascal (Dermot Mulroney).

Chicago Fire may have just suffered a devastating death in the form of Monica Pascal (KaDee Strickland), but the series is not through with fans. The upcoming episode, "Post Mortem," has been largely sold on the strength of returning character Wallace Boden, but the actor who plays Boden, Eamonn Walker, let the cat out of the bag during a recent Deadline interview.
Walker revealed that a Chicago Fire "favorite" was going to be in danger throughout the episode, and that his character's involvement will be predicated on what happens to this firefighter. He didn't make it clear which firefighter was at risk, despite Deadline's best attempts to get the inside scoop. "Yeah, I can’t tell you," Walker asserted. "Nice try, though.
