‘Fallout’ Season 2 Wraps Filming: Expected Release Date, Cast, Plot and All We Know So Far
Image
Season 1 was an absolute blast (literally). We followed sweet-but-deadly Lucy as she left the safety of Vault 33 and stepped into a post-nuke Los Angeles that was equal parts chaotic, crusty, and somehow still hilarious. Along the way, she crossed paths with Maximus, a Brotherhood of Steel soldier with more baggage than a Super Mutant, and The Ghoul, the world’s most terrifying cowboy with a heart buried somewhere deep under 200 years of radiation.

With wild twists, gruesome reveals, and that jaw-dropping finale, Fallout didn’t just live up to the hype — it nuked it.

And now that Season 2 is in the can, we’ve got one big question: what’s next? There are whispers of New Vegas, even crazier factions, and some surprise new faces on the way. If Season 1 was the tutorial, Season 2 might just be the real boss fight.

Let’s break down everything we know (so far...

History is repeating itself: Fallout scored an early Season 3 renewal, this time months before the Season 2 debut, which finally has a release window. ‘Fallout’s Fate Has Been Decided Before Season 2 Has Even Aired
Image
Season 2 of the smash-hit video game adaptation Fallout is still a ways away, but Prime Video's ready to set the world on fire today. During its upfront presentation, Amazon announced that the series, based on the post-apocalyptic RPGs created by Interplay Entertainment and Bethesda, has already been renewed for a third season. The news isn't particularly shocking, given that the show is one of the platform's top three most-watched titles and Season 1 has been seen by over 100 million viewers, but it's definitely earlier than expected to arrange another stint in the wasteland. It's just one of two atomic bomb announcements to come from the world of Fallout, as Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten also appeared during the upfront to announce a much earlier-than-expected December 2025 premiere for Season 2.

Fallout is described as "a story of haves and have-nots in a world where there's almost nothing left to have." Set...

'Fallout' Season 2 Sets Its Return to the Wasteland Much Sooner Than Expected
Image
Amazon's annual upfront presentation is underway tonight, and with it comes a few atomic bombshells for fans of Fallout. Filming just finished last week on Season 2, which seemed to line up the series for a return sometime next year, depending on post-production. However, the stars of Prime Video's record-breaking video game adaptation — Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten — all took the stage at the event to announce that they'll be returning to the wasteland well before then. Though an exact date has yet to be settled, the series will be back on the small screen this December.

The exact story for Season 2 isn't known yet, but it will take the main trio of wasteland survivors to the Mojave Desert after that climactic finale at the Griffith Observatory. Season 1 largely followed Lucy (Purnell) as she left Vault 33 in search of her kidnapped dad, only to get wrapped up in a...

Fallout Star Reveals How Many Seasons the Prime Video Series Is Planned to Run
Image
Fallout, a TV show based on the wildly popular post-apocalyptic games, debuted on Amazon Prime to rave reviews. People wanted to spend more time inside the devastated but wacky wasteland of America. But how much time would they be getting, exactly?

Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus on the show, may have just answered that question while appearing at Comic Con Liverpool. He said, via Comic Basics, “When I signed on to do the series, we would have a starting point, and they gave me the end point. That endpoint hasn’t changed, but it is Season 5, Season 6, type of endpoint. We’ve always known that we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters.“

There's certainly no reason why the show shouldn't run for five or six seasons. Despite having shown off a great deal of the world and its workings already, it's still barely scratched the surface of Fallout lore.

‘Fallout’ Season 2 Gets a Nuclear Update From Ella Purnell
Image
We're officially one step closer to returning to the wasteland and visiting New Vegas. Ella Purnell announced on Instagram that Season 2 of the smash-hit Fallout has wrapped filming, sharing a photo of her with her on-screen dad, Kyle MacLachlan. The update marks the end of a months-long production beginning in November and starts the countdown before the new episodes drop on Prime Video. Assuming a similar post-production schedule to the first run, Lucy and Hank MacLean could be back on our screens in a bit over a year, landing the premiere sometime within the spring or summer of 2026.

Season 2 of Fallout will heavily revolve around both Lucy and Hank after the final confrontation at the Griffith Observatory in Season 1. The finale finally brought the show's three leads — the aforementioned vault dweller, the Brotherhood of Steel member Maximus (Aaron Moten), and The Ghoul, formerly known as Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) — together...

Home Alone 2 Director: Remove Donald Trump From My Movie Because “It’s become this curse”
Image
Home Alone 2 may still be a holiday favorite, but one particular cameo continues to spark more debate than cheer. Donald Trump’s brief appearance in the Plaza Hotel has officially worn out its welcome, at least according to director Chris Columbus. Calling it a “curse,” Columbus now wishes the scene had never made the final cut.

The controversy has only grown with time, turning what was once a quirky pop culture moment into a glaring distraction from the film’s charm. And now, the director seems ready to let the holiday classic shed some unnecessary baggage.

Chris Columbus Wants to Cut Trump Cameo in ‘Home Alone 2’ but Worries He’ll Be Deported: ‘It’s Become This Curse’
Image
Chris Columbus regrets including a seven-second cameo by Donald Trump in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.” Thirty-three years (and two Trump administrations) after the 1992 movie was released, director Columbus is explaining why he would hope for a recut… without political ramifications.

Columbus told the San Francisco Chronicle that he might be deported to Italy by the Trump administration if he removes the scene starring the current president. The sequence in question has Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin McCallister asking Trump for directions to the Plaza Hotel lobby. “Down the hall and to the left,” Trump says in the brief onscreen appearance.

However, that scene has haunted Columbus for years. “It’s become this curse. It’s become this thing that I wish it was not there,” Columbus said. “It’s become an albatross for me. I just wish it was gone.”

He added that he “can’t cut it,...

Chris added in his chat with the Chronicle he now feels powerless to remove it from the 1992 sequel to the hit Christmas film due to Trump now serving his second presidential term, sarcastically saying: “If I cut it, I’ll probably be sent out of the country. 'I'll Probably Be Sent Out of the Country': Home Alone 2 Director Wishes He Could Cut Controversial Trump Cameo
Image
Home Alone is one of the most beloved Christmas films of all time. Following the resounding success of the 1990 film, the team reunited for 1992's Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

The movie wasn't as beloved as the first installment and didn't achieve the same cult classic status. Even more, the movie now features a controversial cameo from then-businessman, now-President Donald Trump. In a new conversation with the San Francisco Chronicle, director Chris Columbus revealed he wished he could cut Trump's controversial cameo, but he can't do it for fear of getting deported.

Columbus directed the 1990 movie and returned for the sequel as well, with John Hughes writing the script and producing again. The sequel also featured a seven-second cameo from Trump, where he gives Macaulay Culkin's Kevin directions in New York's famed Plaza Hotel, which he owned at the time. The director called it a "curse" and "an albatross.

Chris Columbus Wants Donald Trump Out of ‘Home Alone 2’
Image
You remember the time when Donald Trump was just a TV personality and a rich guy? He was there, but no one really paid much attention to him, and he was known for his (un)successful business endeavors, his bankruptcies, and his reality shows. He was a controversial figure but more or less an irrelevant one.

At one point, the now-Republican President was actually a member of the Democratic Party as well. At one point, he also had a better working relationship with almost everyone, including people from the entertainment industry.

Thanks to his connections and friendships, Trump had cameo appearances in several works, including the 1992 movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, a sequel to the hit Home Alone. In a brief scene, Trump talked to Kevin and thus became a part of the fanchise’s history. Now, director Chris Columbus wants him out of the movie.

The 6 Most Insane Stunts From Comedy Movies
Image
After a century of non-recognition for their broken bones and unsightly bruises, movie stunt designers are finally getting their own Oscar. It’s about time stunt guys and gals get their flowers for death-defying feats. But forget Mission: Impossible Xiv and the next James Bond — many comedies are stuffed with outrageous acts of physical prowess, too.

Here are six of the most insane stunts from classic comedies…

Culkin and his partner, actress Brenda Song, welcomed their first child in 2021.

Culkin’s mother and father separated in the 1990s, a split that prompted a custody battle between the parents over their seven children. Culkin stated that since the separation, he has “wanted nothing to do with” his father.

He shared on the podcast, “I haven’t spoken to him in, what would it be, about 30-something years? He deserves it, too. He’s a man who – he has seven kids, and now he has four grandkids, and none of them want anything to do with him.

“I would know,...

No one wants to feel exploited. Don’t pile on. “Dear ID, Please take it easy on the kiddos,” Culkin said. “We’ve all been through the wringer. No one wants to feel exploited. Don’t pile on. Love, Macaulay Culkin.”

Macaulay Culkin Asks Investigation Discovery to “Take It Easy” on Child Stars
Image
As a former child star himself, Macaulay Culkin gets it.

The actor, who rose to fame at 10 years old, playing Kevin in the holiday classic films Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, has a message for those making documentaries about child actors in Hollywood.

“Dear ID, Please take it easy on the kiddos. We’ve all been through the wringer. No one wants to feel exploited. Don’t pile on. Love, Macaulay Culkin,” he wrote on Instagram Monday, alongside a photo of Investigation Discovery’s logo.

Culkin’s post was seemingly referring to the network’s Hollywood Demons docuseries’ second episode, titled “Child Stars Gone Violent,” which aired Monday night. The show looks to “uncover the shocking stories of celebrities’ lives. Some rise to fame only to fall from stardom, while others reveal fame’s tragic, dark side in ways one could never imagine,” according to its description,...

Macaulay Culkin & Siblings Want Nothing to Do With Awful Dad

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Macaulay Culkin was a child star with a deeply miserable childhood. Sadly, he is far from alone.

These days, Culkin and wife Brenda Song are living happily with their young children.

But he wants nothing to do with his own father.

That man has seven children and four grandchildren … and apparently no contact with any of them.

Macaulay Culkin took fans by surprise when he made a rare appearance at the 2018 American Music Awards to present an award to Post Malone. (Photo Credit: Kevin Winter/Getty Images For dcp) Neither Macaulay Culkin nor his siblings want a relationship with their father

In the latest episode of Kate and Oliver Hudson’s Sibling Revelry podcast, Macaulay Culkin opened up about his — and essentially the entirety of his family’s — estrangement from his father.

One Shot | “Uncle Buck”
Image
One Shot invites close readings of the basic unit of film grammar.Uncle Buck.John Hughes’s 1980s were a perfect storm. He was incredibly productive—he wrote the first 50 pages of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986) in a single sitting—at the exact moment when his personal vision dovetailed nicely with the studios’ commercial sensibilities. He became the quintessential teen-movie auteur, writing and genre-defining films like Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), and Pretty in Pink (1986), the first two of which he also directed. He didn’t mind making comedies about adult characters, too, particularly if they were played by John Candy. Many of Hughes’s films in this period were instantly beloved by audiences, but critics remained sniffy even in their praise. They estimated Hughes as, at best, a talented craftsman. He came to spend the 1990s as a writer-for-hire churning out increasingly bland and impersonal kids’ movies—including...

Home Alone: How Chris Columbus’ Awkward Encounter With Chevy Chase Paved The Way For A Holiday Classic
Image
Chris Columbus Awkward Meeting(Photo Credit –Instagram)

When it comes to Christmas flicks, Home Alone is a chef-d’oeuvre. Watching Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) outmaneuver the bumbling Wet Bandits is a holiday tradition. But what if this beloved film nearly never happened?

Believe it or not, Home Alone exists because of an awkward, borderline bizarre meeting. One that had nothing to do with Kevin, burglars, or booby traps—but everything to do with Chevy Chase.

Back in the late 1980s, director Chris Columbus was in a rut. He needed a hit, and fast. Enter John Hughes, the legendary filmmaker behind Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and The Breakfast Club. Hughes handed Columbus a golden opportunity: directing National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

Columbus was eager to take it on. That zeal, however, didn’t last long. The trouble started when he met the film’s star, Chase. The conversation was anything but smooth.

10 Best Fake Movies Within Other Movies
Image
As fulfilling as it must be to create an actual feature film, there has to be a lot of fun involved in developing the fake films that sometimes appear in movies. Think about it. You don't have to deal with all the finicky details and logistics of turning this brief concept into a fully-fledged picture -- you just get to come up with an idea, execute the best bits of it, and move on.

Whether they add to the narrative or simply serve as an excellent punchline, fake movies can pack an out-sized punch, considering how we often only see a few minutes of them within a larger narrative. But it speaks to their quality that despite the small amount of time they're shown on screen, they tend to lodge themselves into the mind of the viewer, giving audiences a stand-out moment. And the very best of these make us all think,...

John Cleese Is Trying His Hand at Chevy Chase’s Movie Screening Tour Racket
Image
As we’ve mentioned before, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. And while a full-on Python reunion seems highly unlikely, due to tensions within the surviving members of the group, John Cleese has decided to reunite with himself for a Python-themed tour that won’t involve working with others, line memorization or really any prep work at all.

“Not Dead Yet! John Cleese and the Holy Grail at 50 Tour” will reportedly find Cleese visiting 17 cities throughout the U.S., for a show that will include a screening of the classic film, followed by a Q&a. According to the event listing at New York City’s Town Hall Cleese will “share behind the scenes stories, wit and wisdom — assuming he remembers any of it.”

But it isn’t exactly cheap. Tickets for the stop in Charlotte, North Carolina range from $69.05 to the...

'It's Just Hard for Me': Brenda Song Reveals How Fiancé Macaulay Culkin Ruined Her Home Alone Tradition
Image
Former Disney Channel star Brenda Song has shared how watching Home Alone with fiancé Macaulay Culkin ruined an annual Christmas tradition for her. The iconic 1990 holiday comedy delivered one of Culkin’s most memorable performances, in which he played the role of the mischievous and charming 8-year-old Kevin McCallister.

During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show via Deadline, Song opened up about her experience re-watching Home Alone with Culkin during the early days of their relationship. She admitted that watching Home Alone around Christmas has always been an annual routine for her. However, this experience was ultimately ruined for her after she forced Culkin to watch the movie together, leading him to give her some unsolicited behind-the-scenes stories about the 1990 movie. "Christmastime came around — and it’s a tradition, I’ve always watched Home Alone every Christmas," she said. "He hadn’t seen the movie in almost a...

Macaulay Culkin Ruined 'Home Alone' for Brenda Song
Image
It's safe to say that watching Home Alone is not an annual holiday tradition at the Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song household. Culkin — who famously starred in the iconic film and its sequel as Kevin McAllister — and Song have been together since 2017 and are now engaged. And while promoting her latest project, the popular Netflix sports comedy Running Point on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the actress revealed that watching Home Alone with the film's star ended up being a terrible idea.

"When we started dating almost eight years ago now," Song shared, "Christmastime came around, and I was like, 'It's a tradition! I always watch Home Alone every Christmas!" Culkin was very hesitant. Still, Song persisted, and "forced" him into what ended up ruining the very meta experience:

"He hadn't seen the movie in like a decade, and I forced him — he didn't wanna watch it. I was like, 'We have to.

Brenda Song Is “Terrified” to Teach Fiancé Macaulay Culkin How to Drive at Age 44: “I Got to Hire Someone to Do That”
Image
Brenda Song taught her partner, Macaulay Culkin, some life skills.

Song recently stopped by The Jennifer Hudson Show to promote her new show, Netflix’s Running Point, when Hudson asked her about teaching the Home Alone star how to do laundry, which was revealed in their Cosmopolitan cover story in January.

“I always say Mac is a very unique human. Being the most famous child actor in the world. He lived and grew up in hotels. He had just never really done laundry. And I was shooketh, the actress said. “I’ve been doing laundry since I was like 10. Whatever it is, helping my mom. And so it’s funny teaching him how to do laundry.”

The Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum continued to explain some other skills she taught her fiancé. “He still doesn’t know how to drive. I took him out to drive in our neighborhood.

Brenda Song says Macaulay Culkin might have “ruined” Home Alone for her with his unique perspective on the holiday comedy
Image
Has Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin committed a Christmas-related cinematic crime? According to Running Point and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody actress and Culkin’s fiancé Brenda Song, the Mac Attack’s first-hand insight into the film’s making could have “ruined” her viewing of Home Alone, the “Die Hard for kids”-like holiday classic.

While appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Song said that when she and Culkin started dating, she suggested watching Home Alone to continue a holiday tradition. Culkin agreed, but then the curtain fell, and Macaulay’s unique perspective started to feel like a swinging paint can to the face.

“Christmastime came around — and it’s a tradition, I’ve always watched Home Alone every Christmas,” Song said. “He hadn’t seen the movie in almost a decade — he didn’t want to watch it — and I forced it. I was like, ‘We have to.

However, Song noted that as they started watching the film, Culkin “started telling me all the behind-the-scenes stories. And I was like, ‘Stop. Stop. You’re ruining it for me.'”

How Righteous Gemstones Landed Bradley Cooper For The Season 4 Premiere (& The Clever Thing He Did That Other Guest Stars Haven’t) Explained By Danny McBride
Image
Creator Danny McBride explains how he scored Bradley Cooper for a shocking guest role in The Righteous Gemstones season 4 premiere. The fourth and final season of the hit HBO comedy began with an unexpected departure from its main cast, instead focusing entirely on Cooper's character, Elijah Gemstone. Set in 1862 Virginia, the premiere serves as an origin story for the Gemstone family's evangelist empire, with Elijah establishing himself as a fraudulent yet influential chaplain. Bradley Cooper's Righteous Gemstones role was kept entirely under wraps, making the appearance of the Oscar-nominated actor a huge surprise.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, McBride explainedthat Cooper agreed to do the premiere after reading the script, despite never having watched a single episode of The Righteous Gemstones. While the series has featured many guest stars from Macaulay Culkin to Joe Jonas, McBride doubted that they could land the A-lister. However, Cooper "dug the material...

Brenda Song Slams Hollywood’s ‘Only One Woman’ Mentality: ‘A Precedent Set by Men’
Image
For years, Hollywood has pushed the narrative that there’s only room for one woman at the top. It’s a mentality that Brenda Song knows all too well, but one that she’s thrilled to see changing.

With a long career beginning over on the Disney Channel to working with powerhouses like Mindy Kaling and Kate Hudson in her latest project “Running Point” on Netflix, Song has witnessed firsthand how women are breaking down barriers, supporting one another and redefining what success looks like in Hollywood.

“Men are the ones that make us feel there’s only one slot for us,” Song said on TheWrap’s “UnWrapped” Podcast. The actress explains that for years there was a sense of scarcity: one minority role per project, one female lead per ensemble cast. It created an unnecessary tension among women, one that she believes is finally being dismantled as the industry begins embracing more diverse stories.

Brenda Song Reveals the Game-Changing Career Advice David Fincher Gave Her
Image
Brenda Song knows exactly how defining playing London Tipton on “Suite Life of Zack & Cody’s” was, not just for audiences, but also for her own career. She also knew it meant going up against some serious typecasting once she moved on from Disney Channel.

That all changed, however, when the actress landed a role in David Fincher’s “The Social Network.” During a recent episode of TheWrap’s “UnWrapped” Podcast, Song opened up about how the legendary director shifted her perspective and stopped being her “own worst enemy.”

“I asked him, I was like, ‘Why did you hire me?’” Song recalled. “I feel like I walk in every audition room with Mickey Mouse ears on my head.”

Fincher’s response was simple but completely changed the way she saw herself: “I didn’t know you were on that show. You came into the room, and you were the right person for the part.

Catherine O'Hara's Mystery Role in The Last of Us Season 2 Finally Revealed
Image
Catherine O’Hara made her name as a comedic actress, but she is taking on a much more dramatic role in the second season of The Last of Us. The Canadian-American actress will play a character crucial to Joel’s emotional exposition in Season 2.

Per Variety, O’Hara will play Joel’s therapist in the Jackson, Wyoming community where he lived with Ellie for the years after the finale of Season 1. Joel, of course, is played by Pedro Pascal, who seems to be everywhere these days, from Gladiator II, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and the rom-com Materialists with Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans. "There was a scene, early in Season 1, where Joel met with a therapist in the Qz in Boston," Pascal explained via email. "I found it a beautiful way into the character and the walls that are guarding his traumas and losses."
