This article contains spoilers for the Season 2 finale of “Elsbeth”
In the Season 2 finale of “Elsbeth,” the title character (Carrie Preston) wound up in jail, where she not only had to jazz up her prison uniform and solve the murder of one of her fellow prisoners, but possibly miss seeing Kaya (Carra Patterson) before she left for her new task force assignment.
Happily, Elsbeth smokes out the murderer and is freed in time to wish Kaya farewell and good luck in Washington, D.C.
Ahead of the finale, TheWrap spoke to Preston and showrunner Jonathan Tolins about saying goodbye — for now — to one of the show’s original characters and how they pulled off that dazzling cell block dance homage to “Chicago” with guest stars Retta, Gina Gershon, Elizabeth Lail, Mary-Louise Parker and Alyssa Milano.
TheWrap: Kaya is now a full-fledged detective and she’s leaving on a new assignment.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the Elsbeth Season 2 finale, “Ramen Holiday.”] He had it coming! Ok, no, he didn’t. Not this time, at least. Having a murder to solve kept the lawyer occupied as she reconnected with eight of the perps she had arrested over the course of last two seasons. Stephen Moyer, Retta, André De Shields, Alyssa Milano, Gina Gershon, Arian Moayed, Elizabeth Lail, and Mary-Louise Parker all returned in their guest star roles in the finale and performed their rendition of Chicago‘s “Cell Block Tango,” which the series dubbed the “Suspect Tango” in the episode. The finale featured a new guest star as well: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Donna Lynne Champlin as “Mama Martin,” the killer...

Elsbeth season 2 finale trailer shows the offbeat lawyer incarcerated with several of the suspects she has helped put away. "Yes, I'm here, I've been splashed... I'm a New Yorker," the titular Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) might have once said, but, as the promo for the upcoming Season 2 finale proves, she's certainly not forgotten her Chicago roots. Following the penultimate Episode 19, "I've Got a Little List," which featured the talented Billy Magnussen as thrill-seeker and dangerous playboy Rod, one more episode in Elsbeth's critically acclaimed second season remains, and it promises to be a toe-tapping, cameo-filled adventure.
As can be seen in the promo for the episode, available to watch below, Elsbeth is going behind bars herself this week, although to catch the killer of a killer who is already serving time. However, if there's one perfect place to feature a who's who of the show's guest stars it is prison, with Elsbeth's hard work coming back to haunt her as she comes face to face with the likes of Retta,...

"Charmed" is arguably one of the greatest fantasy shows of all time, but while its storylines of witchcraft and demons entertained viewers, it wasn't always smooth sailing for the cast and crew behind the scenes. The eighth and final season of the magical drama was hampered with budget cuts, forcing its creatives to remove some series mainstays out of certain episodes and limit the number of guest stars that could be brought in. That said, they found room for future "Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco, who played the young witch Billie Jenkins in 22 episodes.
During "Charmed" season 8, Cuoco's character has a tumultuous relationship with the show's heroic witches -- Piper (Holly Marie Combs), Paige (Rose McGowan), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) -- during her interactions with them. However, that's only because her demonically influenced sister convinces her that the Power of Three are the enemy and must be stopped. In the end,...

Get ready for a wild reunion on the season 2 finale of Elsbeth with a murderer’s row of past murderers!
Elsbeth has been a great hit for CBS in 2024-25, as viewers have come to love this unique mystery series. The setup has Carrie Preston reprising her Emmy-winning role from The Good Wife as eccentric attorney Elsbeth Tascioni. Coming to New York as part of a “consent decree” with the police, Elsbeth soon uses her quirky mind to help solve murders.
The show stands out for two elements besides Preston. The first is that it’s a “howdunnit” where most episodes open by showing the audience who the killer is. While some episodes can make it more of a mystery, the majority play on Elsbeth matching wits with the killer.
The second is that the show boasts a fantastic bevy of guest stars as the killers, each providing some fun entertainment.

Just one year ago, French Stewart was riding high. The actor, best known for playing the squinty-eyed, lovably clueless alien Harry Solomon for six seasons on “3rd Rock From the Sun” was at the SXSW Film Festival, earning raves for his turn as an emotionally abusive father in the Tracie Laymon’s debut feature “Bob Trevino Likes It.” The film showed Stewart, usually cast as likable characters, in a whole new light. It closed out the festival by winning both the Jury Prize and the Audience Award.
Cut to a year later, after the film has won more than 25 awards on the fest circuit and Stewart is back to hitting red carpets for its upcoming premiere. But at the same time, the actor reveals there’s been a struggle – he hadn’t worked in a year and was concerned he might lose his SAG insurance for the first time in his decades-long career.

Today, Elon Musk‘s X feed offered the usual mix of paranoid politics, attacks on Democrats and government agencies, and content from accounts affiliated with President Donald Trump (who still prefers his own web platform, Truth Social). But mixed in were a number of posts about Tesla, the electric vehicle manufacturer that still counts him as CEO despite his seemingly full-time commitment to the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), a task force firing thousands of government workers as it torches the administrative state.

Some astute fans of Elsbeth, CBS' quirky police procedural comedy / drama that stars Carrie Preston as the title character, think a famous director may have had an uncredited cameo. In the episode, which is titled Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, unconventional attorney Elsbeth Tascioni is trying to solve an old Mafia murder. She watches a fictional film about the show, City on a Knife Edge, and listens to director Francis Martino's commentary. And it appears none other than David Fincher was playing the voice of Martino.
Elsbeth is a spinoff of two popular CBS shows, The Good Wife (2009 to 2016), and The Good Fight (2017 to 2022), which featured Preston as Tascioni. The first season premiered on CBS on Feb. 29, 2024 and was quickly renewed for a second season by Apr. 2024. While the character is an unorthodox attorney, she uses her singular point-of-view to help solve cases. Preston won a Primetime Emmy in 2013 for...

Honestly, this episode of Elsbeth should have been called “The Mama Bear Mittens Are Coming Off.” There was no holding back on this culturally infused installment from everyone’s favorite Chicago attorney.
For one thing, how adorable was Henry, the tour guide? I don’t know who that actor is, but he is popping up more and more in different shows and movies.
However, the award for the most over-the-top acting on Elsbeth goes to Alyssa Milano. Was her character a little too much? Check the fingernails. But what the actor did with the role was epic.
(Michael Parmelee/CBS)
It will be a long time before viewers forget the name Pupetta. Although, that’s probably because the character’s name sounds like a side dish that comes with eggplant parm.

It was 7 a.m. local time when a Russian missile struck the Starlight Media studio in Kyiv on November 13, 2024, ripping through its roof and leaving a gaping hole just meters above the famous MasterChef logo pinned to the wall.
Thankfully, shooting on the 15th season of MasterChef Ukraine was 10 days out and no one was injured or killed, unlike thousands of other less fortunate civilians whose lives have been taken since Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine three years ago. “I can’t imagine what would have happened 10 days later,” says Viktoriia Vyshniakova, head of the show’s studio, which is owned by StarLight Production.
TV has been a solace for many Ukrainians seeking to escape the grueling reality of life under constant threat of attack. Four seasons of MasterChef have been produced since the bombing began three years ago today, on February 24, 2022. Schedules for the new run had been mapped out,...

Over the years, Hollywood has delivered an abundance of memorable on-screen partnerships -- Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, Paul Newman and Robert Redford, Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, and Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, among many others. Over 30 years after their first collaboration, it's probably safe to add Matt Damon and Ben Affleck to the list.
Together, the dynamic duo have produced memorable entertainment aplenty, putting their remarkable chemistry to good use in everything from Kevin Smith's "Dogma" to Affleck's "Air." These guys have teamed up on nearly a dozen projects, even for a brief cameo or minor supporting role. Recently, their partnership has intensified with the aforementioned "Air" and Ridley Scott's "The Last Duel," it's a shame they haven't found more films to work on together over the years, because these boys are wicked smaht.

The best Jaime Pressly movies and TV shows contain an interesting mix of genres but she always stands out when she gets her chance to shine. Presley started her career as a teenager when she got involved in modeling while also training as a gymnast. By the time she was 15, she dropped out of high school and moved to Japan to further her modeling career. This led to her first TV appearance, where she had an uncredited role on Baywatch, which then led to her first major breakout.

James Patterson is one of the most successful authors of his generation, with an enormous catalog of intense thrillers and gripping mysteries that are all different but equally exciting. His stories are the perfect material to be transformed into movies and TV shows: usually standalone adventures, with a central mystery that drives the story forward with fun characters and interesting locations. The writer is best known for his character Alex Cross, who's been adapted several times on the small screen.
Patterson has been writing novels since the late 1970s, since when his output has only gotten more impressive. He has one of the largest bibliographies of any living author, with huge amounts of stories that cater to wildly different audiences. Agatha All Along has been a fantastic series, and there are more shows to watch if you love that witchy magic!
The Marvel Television series has become a major hit for Disney Plus. This sequel to WandaVision has Kathryn Hahn reprising her scene-stealing role as witch Agatha Harkness, the secret architect of much of the chaos. After regaining her memory and powers, Agatha goes on a quest for more power with the uneasy aid of other witches and a mysterious Teen.
The show has a wonderful mix of dark humor, action, thrills, drama and some truly shocking twists. It’s one of many TV shows that use witches and magic, most aimed at a YA audience. Others do have the same appeal as Agatha with a darker take on magic yet some truly offbeat storytelling.
Narrowing it down can be hard, but these 15 shows are just for anyone who enjoyed Agatha All Along.
