Lenny Kravitz has been considered an extremely eligible bachelor for years. The singer and songwriter has had several high-profile relationships, including a well-publicized marriage. He isn’t currently dating anyone, and he’s not looking for sex, either. Kravitz recently discussed his decision to remain celibate, and while Kravitz is fine with his choice, Ice-t seems confused by it. He sounded off about it on Twitter, slamming Kravitz in the process.

Sofía Vergara has shared some behind-the-scenes stories about The Hollywood Reporter‘s latest cover story, highlighting this year’s drama actress roundtable.
The Griselda star, who recently had extensive knee surgery, said on Thursday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the cover shoot with Nicole Kidman, Jodie Foster, Jennifer Aniston, Anna Sawai, Brie Larson and Naomi Watts was less than two weeks after her operation.
So her team wanted her to cancel, with them telling her, “We don’t think you’re in good shape, you’re not looking good.'” At the time, she was relying on a walker to move around, as she couldn’t walk.
“I was like, ‘I’m not missing that cover with Jennifer Aniston, with Nicole Kidman, with all [of them],” she recalled.
As Kimmel displayed the cover, Vergara explained some of what was behind her appearance alongside her fellow Emmy hopefuls.

The decade of the 1990s was fruitful for thrillers and mystery stories, including the ones that contain erotic elements too. The main director of this kind was David Lynch, who inscribed his name in history with the Twin Peaks fever sweeping over America.
However, there were other directors who tried to ride this hype train. Such an attempt was made in 1992, when the psychological thriller we’re going to talk about was released, and since then it gained such a cultish status it’s still discussed on Reddit.
Its plot revolves around Allison, a young woman who decides to separate from her fiancé and starts looking for a roommate. Eventually, she finds one, a femme fatale named Hedra, who seems to be incredibly interested in her neighbor's life.
However, when Allison starts thinking of reconciling with her boyfriend, Hedra grows jealous and even aggressive. The more we observe her changed behavior,...

Welcome to Emmy Experts Typing, a weekly column in which Gold Derby editors and Experts Joyce Eng and Christopher Rosen discuss the Emmy race — via Slack, of course. This week, as the eligibility period closes Friday, we discuss two last-minute limited/TV movie hopefuls.
Christopher Rosen: Hello, Joyce! We’re at the end of 2024 Emmys eligibility, and not without some last-minute entries. This week, Netflix added “Eric” to its stable of limited series contenders — joining fellow May release “A Man in Full,” as well as “Ripley,” “Griselda,” “Painkiller” and presumed frontrunner “Baby Reindeer.” Meanwhile, over at HBO, “The Great Lillian Hall” is here, a TV movie that puts Jessica Lange in contention for Best Limited/TV Movie Actress. It’s funny: Neither of these projects feels like they connected with critics and the late drops are always dicey when there are too many shows to watch in the first place.

A year and a half has gone by since A24 announced that they were re-teaming with Halina Reijn, the director of their slasher satire Bodies Bodies Bodies, on a erotic thriller called Babygirl, with Nicole Kidman (Being the Ricardos), Antonio Banderas (Desperado), Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw), Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me), and Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional) set to star in the film. Now they have revealed (via Deadline) that they’re bringing Babygirl to theatres just in time for Christmas viewings, giving it a December 20th release date. That’s the same weekend Disney is releasing Mufasa, Paramount is releasing Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Angel Studios is releasing the faith-based post-apocalyptic film Homestead.
Christmas seems like an odd time to release an erotic thriller, but maybe this counter-programming will work out for A24. While families are taking the kids to Mufasa and Sonic and the devout see Homestead,...

The seeds for Big Little Lies were planted nearly 20 years earlier with Practical Magic. Admittedly much goofier than the prestige HBO miniseries, Practical Magic is an unequivocal crowd pleaser stuffed with delightful characters, cozy fall vibes and wicked pleasures. This is thanks to the strange, yet wonderful pairing of Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock.
It’s funny to compare and contrast Bullock and Kidman at this time. Both were great talents who were ascending to the A-list at the same time. Yet, Sandra was a relatable rom-com Queen who was quickly becoming America’s Sweetheart. Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman had a different persona - the ice queen beauty who was seen more often in dramas, horrors and blockbusters. One would never mistake these two actresses for sisters, but their differences add to the fun as the two play loving witchy sisters who have each other’s back despite their opposing life outlooks.

Rock icon Lenny Kravitz has revealed he has been living a celibate lifestyle for nearly a decade as part of a profound spiritual journey. The 60-year-old musician, long known as a sex symbol, says he hasn’t had any intimate relations in nine years as he focuses on personal growth.
In a candid interview with The Guardian, Kravitz traced his celibacy back to reflections on his father Sy’s infidelity toward his mother Roxie Roker during their marriage. The “American Woman” singer admitted he once feared following in his dad’s footsteps after his 1991 divorce from actress Lisa Bonet.
“It took me years to grow out of being a player,” Kravitz confessed. “I didn’t want to live that way anymore. I’ve attained a level of wisdom, enlightenment and peace that I’ve never had before.”

On June 6, the 2024 IndieWire Honors ceremony will celebrate 13 creators and stars responsible for some of the most stellar work of the TV season. Curated and selected by IndieWire’s editorial team, the event is a new edition of previous IndieWire Honors ceremonies, this time focused entirely on television. We’re showcasing their work with new interviews leading up to the Los Angeles celebration.
Below, Janice Y.K. Lee — the author of “The Expatriates” and producer of its Prime Video adaptation, “Expats” — shares her admiration for writer, director, and showrunner Lulu Wang, who will receive the Crossover Award at IndieWire Honors.
Do you know Lulu Wang? Have you met her? You’d remember if you had. She’s five feet of pure determination and artistry, barely a hundred pounds of steely-eyed chili crisp, a writer’s writer, a director’s director, and a fierce warrior deceptively encased in the frame of an elegant porcelain-faced gamine.

“Expats,” the immense yet intimate six-part series from director and showrunner Lulu Wang, tells the story of three American women living in Hong Kong who become inextricably linked by tragedy. That loss, so harrowing it’s often kept vague in plot synopses, is the disappearance of a young boy. Left unattended in a crowded night market for a split second, Gus (Connor James) is just gone. There’s no indication if he’s been taken or he merely wandered off. His mother, Margaret (Nicole Kidman), is inconsolable.

Brie Larson may not be the most popular actress in a superhero suit around, but her advice to every actor who takes on such a role is noteworthy. Larson shared that she would reach out to these actors via email to give them insights into the training for the role and particularly costume advice. Handling a spandex is not an easy job as a superhero actor and Larson knows it enough to share her two cents on the matter.

Brie Larson knows the highs and lows of working in the superhero world. She made her own superhero debut in the 2019 film Captain Marvel, which earned over $1 billion at the global box office and became one of the top 25 highest grossing films of all time. She played the character again in Avengers: Endgame, which was released just weeks after Captain Marvel and earned almost $3 billion at the box office, briefly becoming the #1 highest grossing film of all time. We saw Larson’s Captain Marvel again in the 2021 hit Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, an episode of the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, and last year’s The Marvels… which did not replicate Captain Marvel‘s success, making just over $200 million at the box office and becoming the lowest-grossing film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are a lot of varying opinions about Larson’s performance and attitude, but...

The Umbrella Academy Trailer: The Hargreeves Aren’t So Powerless Anymore in New Final Season Footage
The Hargreeves siblings may have had their powers stripped away during The Umbrella Academy‘s last finale… but those are definitely tentacles we’re seeing back on Ben in a new trailer for the show’s final season.
In much of the freshly released footage (which you can watch in full above), the Hargreeves do look the worse for wear after last season’s failed reprogramming of the universe, with everyone appearing a bit tired and sad (or hyperventilating, in Klaus’ case). What starts as a surprise romance turns into a nightmare for one in the trailer for A Family Affair.
In the two-minute look at the upcoming Netflix film, Zac Efron stars as movie star Chris Cole who begins a romance with Nicole Kidman’s Brooke. However, Kidman just happens to be the widowed mother to Zara (Joey King), Chris’ young assistant who quit working for Chris and hates him.
“I know him very well. He’s self-absorbed and selfish,” King’s Zara says. “He’s going to hurt her, and I will have to kill him.”
Throughout the trailer, Kidman and Efron can be seen growing closer as King’s Zara continues to view it as a “gross sexcapade thing.”
“I love being your mother more than anything in this world. But I’m starting to feel things I never thought I would feel again. Not since your father,” Kidman says.

Ever walk in on a relative in an intimate moment and you really wish you hadn’t? Yeah, imagine that it’s your mother (Nicole Kidman) … with your former boss (Zac Efron). That’s the reality for Zara (Joey King) in A Family Affair, directed by Richard Lagravenese. In the new trailer for the film, you can see Zara bear witness to that extremely awkward — and, unfortunately for her, painful — surprise. Upon seeing her boss and mother in bed together, Zara spins on the spot and collides directly with the wall.
It took quite a few takes to get the perfect doorframe collision on film. “I did it about three times, and then took a moment to watch those takes back and decided I needed to keep trying until it was perfect,” King tells Tudum. “The hit on the head wasn’t looking real enough...

Your mom hooking up with your movie star boss is a recipe for… romance? That’s exactly what happens to Zara Ford (Joey King) in the upcoming Netflix rom-com A Family Affair, directed by Richard Lagravenese and written by Carrie Solomon. Zara catches her mom, Brooke (Nicole Kidman), hooking up with the handsome and much younger Chris Cole (Zac Efron). Zara immediately knocks herself unconscious as she reels from witnessing her boss and mom in the midst of a sexy rendezvous. “Name the movie I won a Teen Choice Award for,” Chris asks Zara, who holds up her middle finger in reply. Zara is not on board with her mom dating Chris whatsoever. “He’s going to hurt her, and I will have to kill him,” she says. Despite Zara’s vocal disapproval, Brooke and Chris just can’t stay away from each other. “I’ve been waiting for you forever,...

Martin Scorsese is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers in Hollywood, and even at the age of 81 is churning out pieces of art. The filmmaker last helmed the crime-Western Killers of the Flower Moon, and is already gearing up for his next project. He remains one of the few individual voices still making films today.
Scorsese’s statements about cinema and the way superhero films were taking over the medium had drawn a lot of flack from fans. The director’s comparison of Marvel movies to theme parks sparked outrage as well as a popular meme template. However, even he would agree to one scene from Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel as cinema.

Martin Scorsese has often discussed, publicly, his disdain towards the superhero genre of films, especially Marvel films.

"He's going to hurt her, and I will have to kill him." The realest line in this. Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a romantic comedy called A Family Affair, the latest movie directed by Richard Lagravenese. This seems like another "we have to do this too" version of the exact same story from Prime Video's The Idea of You. They're almost the same plot, except in this one the guy is a movie star, not a pop star, who falls for the "older woman." A surprising romance kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother, and her movie star boss Chris Cole, as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity. Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron star in this romcom, along with Joey King, Liza Koshy, Sherry Cola, and Kathy Bates. Well this looks pretty awful, not a single funny line in here and everything else is super cringe.

A ‘Self-Absorbed’ Zac Efron Falls for His Assistant’s Mom, Nicole Kidman, in ‘Family Affair’ Trailer
Boss turned stepdad? ? On Tuesday, Netflix released the trailer for the comedy film A Family Affair, out June 28, starring Zac Efron, Joey King, and Nicole Kidman in a less-than-ideal work-family situation.
The trailer opens with a scene of King’s character Zara — a day-to-day assistant to actor Chris Cole (Efron) — letting out a freaked-out yelp and passing out after walking in on her mom, Brooke (Kidman), in bed with Chris.
“Name the movie I won a Teen Choice Award for,” Efron tells Zara to make sure she’s conscious. Her response?...

“I don’t know if anybody told you, but none of us knows what we’re doing,” announces two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster halfway through the Drama Actress Emmy Roundtable. She’s surrounded by two more Oscar winners — Expats’ Nicole Kidman and Lessons in Chemistry’s Brie Larson — who nod in agreement. The year 1995 is a pivotal moment in the definition of Nicole Kidman. Both of her films released this year paint different paths her career could go. As Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever, Nicole Kidman pursues mainstream success, hoping to align her name with a big franchise full of stars. Though she eventually returns to the superhero genre, we get the first real glimpse at the prestige actress we know and love today with her seismic turn in Gus Van Sant’s To Die For. At that point, Kidman was best known as Mrs. Tom Cruise, having already starred in Days of Thunder and Far & Away with her husband. In redefining her image as a real actress, Kidman first had to lean into the stereotypes that people saw in her.
Her Suzanne Stone Maretto is a ditzy social climber whose quest for fame greatly exceeds her talent at wielding it.

Martin Scorsese’s war with Marvel seems to be over as filmmaker George Lucas recently revealed that the director might have eased his opinions about the MCU. The Departed filmmaker came under fire back in 2019 when he compared Marvel with theme park rides and said that they were not cinema, sparking controversy and a bunch of memes.
While the filmmaker was commenting on the lack of originality in Hollywood and how the only films getting made were superhero films, many fans took issue with him insulting their beloved franchise. However, the director seemed to have calmed down about the issue, according to George Lucas.

The early ‘90s were a peculiar period in the ascendant career of young Nicole Kidman. Hot off her breakthrough in Dead Calm (1989), Hollywood poached her quickly, (mis)casting her in a series of prominent but mostly forgettable, largely thankless roles—from Days of Thunder (1990) and Billy Bathgate (1991) to Far and Away (1992) and My Life (1993). In between, her real claim to fame (for a time) was bagging Hollywood’s biggest star, not necessarily popping on screen. Or at least that’s how I viewed her in the fall of 1993, when the Harold Becker-directed, Aaron Sorkin-penned Malice was released in theaters…...

The prequel film we have all been waiting for is finally here and I am really happy to say that it is as brilliant and bombastic as the original film. Obviously, we are talking about Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the prequel to George Miller‘s 2015 Mad Max: Fury Road. Directed by Miller from a screenplay by Nico Lathouris and Miller, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga follows the story of a young Furiosa as she is taken from Green Place of Many Mothers and tries to survive in the wasteland while trying to get back home but the war between great biker horde’s warlord Dementus and Immortan Joe makes it harder. Replacing Charlize Theron from Fury Road, Anya Taylor-Joy takes over the role of Furiosa in the prequel film and it also stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Lachy Hulme, John Howard, Angus Sampson, and Nathan Jones.
