Shows and Movies I Lost Hatred In
Here are some of the shows and movies I used to hate but now like. They're all titles I liked at first, later developed a hatred for, and eventually started to like again, minus Nostalgia Critic. There are no other shows or movies I can think of that I hated at first but now like. I've done reviews on some of these titles, and I'm going to review more of them in the future. If my reasons I mentioned liking them here aren't enough for you, read my reviews. They go more in detail as to why I like them.

- CreatorRon RodeckerJames CoaneJeffrey ScottStarsKathleen BarrAndrea LibmanDanny McKinnonTwo children find a dragonscale, and have fun socializing with dragons.I began to hate this sometime in either 2010 or 11 and became neutral to it in April 2016. I started to like it again in October 2020 because it has quirky characters, useful tips on how to work out everyday situations, an original premise, and a beautiful and relaxing theme song. Also, I didn't give it a chance before and felt bad for hating it.
- CreatorMurray CookJeff FattAnthony FieldStarsMurray CookJeff FattAnthony FieldGet ready to Wiggle with the Wiggles' TV series. Wiggle fans can join in on the fun with the beloved quartet Anthony, Murray, Greg and Jeff.I began to hate this sometime in either 2008 or 2009, and I started to like it again in either February or March 2011 because it has funny moments, quirky and colorful characters and sets, catchy songs, and expressive dances. Also, I finally gave it a chance after not giving it a chance for a while. I became neutral to it in either April or May 2016, and I've liked it for the third time since January 2019 for the same reasons I liked it before, and The Wiggles surprisingly don't talk down to the audience and aren't as hyperactive as I remembered. However, I only like the original era, I'm still neutral to the Sam era, and I never watched the new Wiggles.
- CreatorMitchell KriegmanStarsNoel MacNealVicki EibnerPeter LinzA seven-foot-tall bear named Bear lives in The Big Blue House, with his friends as they teach a variety of subjects and lessons.I started to hate this sometime in early 2008 and became neutral to it in November 2015. I started to like it again in April 2016 because Bear is a great role model, it's more laidback and optimistic than I remembered, the quality isn't as dark and dull as I remembered, and it has great morals and funny moments. However, I became neutral to it again in November 2016, and I've liked it for the third time since December 2022 for the same reasons I liked it before. Those, and it has a wide variety of music genres, it's the anti-Barney (I'm neutral to Barney, but BITBBH has a slightly similar premise and fixes some of the problems I have with Barney), and I don't think the nightmares I had about it years ago are enough for me to hate it or be neutral to it because I've had some good dreams about it too.
- CreatorJanice BurgessStarsLaShawn JefferiesSean CurleyJonah BoboUniqua, Pablo, Tyrone, Tasha, and Austin are a group of young friends who get together to play in the backyard they share. Each day, their imaginations transform that backyard into a different photo-realistic landscape.I hated this for a short time in April 2016 and I became neutral to it a week or two later, when it was either a) still April or b) May 2016. I've liked it again since July 2020 because it promotes creativity and imagination, The Backyardigans surprisingly don't talk down to the audience/treat them like idiots, it has some parental bonuses like pop culture references, and it also has a wide variety of different music genres.
- CreatorLauren ChildKen BruceCaleb MeurerStarsMorgan GayleRyan HarrisDaniel MayersAnimation following a boy's efforts to get his stubborn little sister to try new things.I began to hate this sometime in 2013, and I became neutral to it in December 2020 (I think). I've liked it again since July 2021 because it gives me slight Peanuts/Charlie Brown vibes, it promotes creativity and imagination in a unique way, it also has useful tips on how to work out everyday situations, and Charlie is an appealing role model.
- CreatorJohn A. DavisSteve OedekerkStarsDebi DerryberryJeffrey GarciaRob PaulsenA young boy, who happens to be a genius, lives in a small town with his family and friends and often gets into crazy adventures with them involving the things he invents.I started to hate this sometime in late 2013, and I started to like it again in June 2016 because it's way ahead of its time, it has an original premise, quirky characters, and it's not a Peanuts rip-off like I thought it was before. I became neutral to it later that same month, and I've liked it for the third time since June 2020 for the same reasons I liked it before, and it's not as mean-spirited as I remembered, and the theme song is catchier, quirkier, and not as annoying as I remembered.
- CreatorButch HartmanStarsJerry TrainorGrey GriffinDaran NorrisA secret agent labradoodle is recruited into a task force called T.U.F.F and fights injustice throughout the city in which he lives.I lost interest in this sometime in 2014, became neutral to it in March 2021, and started to like it again a couple days later, when it was still March 2021. Why? Dudley Puppy is a funny character, the action scenes are fun to watch, the theme song is extremely catchy, it has the same unique animation style as the other Butch Hartman Nicktoons, and unlike most of the other Nicktoons from its time, it surprisingly has no gross out or crude humor, other than the theme song mentioning that Dudley used to drink out of the toilet and chew his butt.
- CreatorJosh SeligJennifer OxleyStarsSofie ZamchickTeala DunnDanica LeeA turtle, guinea pig, and duckling save the day by using teamwork.I started hating this sometime in either 2009 or 10, and I started to like it again shortly after because it has cute characters and songs and shows the importance of teamwork. I started to not care for it sometime between 2012 and 2015, and I became neutral to it in December 2019. I've liked this for the third time since November 2023 for the same reasons I liked it before, and it handles the concept of combining animation and realism together better than Dirtgirlworld, which I hate and find creepy as can be.
- CreatorDoug WalkerStarsDoug WalkerMalcolm RayTamara ChambersA sardonic critic reviews movies and TV shows from his childhood and adulthood.I became neutral to this in October 2023, and I began to like it in January 2024 because the Nostalgia Critic does agreeable movie reviews and makes fun of awful movies in hilarious ways.
- CreatorKaren ChauMary HarringtonJudy Rothman RoféStarsJade-Lianna PetersClem CheungKhamani GriffinA six-year-old girl named Kai-lan, who invites friends at her home to share in the colorful interplay of Chinese and American cultures, as well as the Mandarin language, through interactive exercises and magical stories.I started hating this sometime in 2013 (I think), became neutral to it in December 2023, and began liking it again in January 2024 because the characters have cute, anime-like designs, it gives tips on acceptance of others and how to handle emotions, it's not a Dora the Explorer rip-off like I thought it was before, and the fourth wall breaking is handled somewhat better than in some other preschool shows like Dora.
- CreatorDouglas HobbieHolly HobbieStu KriegerStarsJoanne VannicolaSamantha ReynoldsJohn McGrathThe show focuses on the lives of two adventurous pigs, Toot and Puddle. The two live in Woodcock Pocket with Puddle's cousin Opal and their parrot friend Tulip. In each episode the duo learns about a different place or culture. During the course of each episode, Toot visits a new location and communicates to Puddle by sending a postcard.I started hating this sometime in 2011, started being neutral to it in January or February 2022, and officially liked it again since April, May, or June 2022 because it has a somewhat original premise, gorgeous animation, and great morals, and the Boomerang Song is extremely catchy and fast paced. The reason I hated it before was because Toot's name reminded me of farts, and it still does, but I don't think that reason alone is enough for me hate it. I haven't seen a lot of this, and I barely remembered it, so I thought there was nothing better to do than revisit it and find out if was any good, and I did.
- StarsJohn Gordon SinclairSean HughesMaria DarlingSHERIFF TERENCE: Howdy, partner! Terence wishes he could make the rules for the bathroom so he won't get splashed. In an imaginative trip to the Wild West, Sheriff Terence meets Finny the Kid in a showdown!I lost interest in this sometime in 2015, started to be neutral to it in April 2016, and liked it again since February 2022 because it has quirky characters, an original premise, memorable quotes (e.g., Tubb's "Swimmin!", Sploshy's "Splish splash splosh!"), and strong, positive messages, most notably "be happy for who you are."
- DirectorKevin LimaStarsBill FarmerJason MarsdenJim CummingsWhen Max makes a preposterous promise to a girl he has a crush on, his chances to fulfilling it seem hopeless when he is dragged onto a cross-country trip with his embarrassing father, Goofy.I lost interest in this sometime in late 2015, started to be neutral to it in January 2017, and began to like it again in June 2017 because it has an accurate depiction of being a teenager and not getting along with your parents as well you used to, inspiring morals about being a good parent and respecting your kids' wishes, and extremely catchy songs.
- DirectorRich MooreStarsJohn C. ReillyJack McBrayerJane LynchA video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives.I lost interest in this sometime in late 2015, started to be neutral to it in April 2016, and began to like it again in either October or November 2016 because it reveals the secret world of arcade games, combines real-life video games together, and has strong, positive messages about being yourself and what it means to be a good guy.
- DirectorBetty ThomasStarsJason LeeZachary LeviDavid CrossThe world-famous singing preteen chipmunk trio return to contend with the pressures of school, celebrity, and a rival female music group known as The Chipettes.I started hating this sometime in 2015, started being neutral to it sometime in 2018, and liked it again since sometime in 2021 because it has more connection to the first Chipmunks movie than I remembered, and it introduces the Chipettes to the movie series. Also, the reason I hated it before was because of the cringeworthy scene where Ian dresses as Brittney and operates Jeanette and Eleanore puppets, and I don't think that scene alone is enough to hate this movie because it takes up a very small portion of the movie, but I still hate that scene.
- CreatorDane BoedigheimerStarsCristian HawleyDane BoedigheimerBobby JenningsThe capers of an anthropomorphic orange and his friends annoying the heck out of the audience.I started to hate this in June 2014 and started to like it again sometime in 2021 because it's funny and not as creepy or annoying as the Cartoon Network show. Also, I used to think the episodes of the YouTube show were uploads of the CN show, but now I know that they're 2 different shows.
