- DirectorStanley KubrickStarsRyan O'NealMarisa BerensonPatrick MageeAn Irish rogue wins the heart of a rich widow and assumes her dead husband's aristocratic position in 18th-century England. In my 13 years see this merciless Master Stanley Kubrick film
was a strong shock and certainly is one of the works that marked me as an artist . Only by having a thorough understanding of the past, perhaps certain times , you can achieve a Play as Barry Lyndon . No slight or careless scene in the film is notable as Kubrick through photography and the place chosen meticulosamentede for scene confronts exterior Domestic sequences violently using this match as one of the ways to express the cruelty of the script, shrewdly enhanced by the rigorous fashion design and staging that generates a profound expression of the different social situations which tells the script ; bright indoor scenes of the card game is almost entirely light and suggestion, the script just accompanied with short sentences suggestive. Milena Canonero is bright again , Roy Walker, brilliant work as Art Director , John Alcott expressive with a key tool in this film is superb photography .. your work. Exquisitely set , slightly more English than French historically accurate, up on subtle details and very effective supporting the script that is cruel , focuses on the vanity and all that man does for fear of happiness and surrender to it . The accuracy of fashion design over the excellent performances of John Malkovich really "is" a French aristocrat , 1782, how to talk , seduce and getting updates through their brilliant performance , seduces the viewer. The secretive and cruel role Glenn Close, her costumes are brilliant script and deployed by a relentless performance. In the smallest details and the narrative of manners and characters of the characters, this powerful and ruthless cross work shows how to think, act and feel the best and worst part of the Spanish Society of times even Hidalga of his mighty empire. Robert de Niro "is" Rodrigo Mendoza, a Spanish mercenary, a bastard socially Hidalgo character of hubris and the cold efficiency of a mercenary , but also the value that comes from the true nobility that is not inherited , to fight a losing battle
advance for a cause " that is not business " to defend the weak. Jeremy Irons does a good job , as Mendoza and sensible counterpoint to the extraordinary courage of the true priest , who gives his life for love and service to its hermanos.La excellent photography, dour script " very Spanish " reinforce the work of such a way , that makes it indivisible , plus the shrewd description of the different political profiles of the time. The Tudors found it excellent as a series, apasionanate the structure of the script, but in my opinion its start was not as rigorous as this escepcional series so I add it to this list. Notable historical work start and also ... that is not the purpose of this list but I want to mention how the script does understand the ability of the characters to survive on their intelligence court HenryVIII and time of the wars of religion in Europe

Great film through the work of Eco shows us the strength of the Medieval Church to the application of Aristotelian philosophy, their rejection of Pure Reason, and lots of human qualities to her little serious and do not apply to the Catholic Faith .
Posted in The Extraordinary Scene shows considerably these points at issue: the severity and the clothes ... pedsadez hostile climate ... the ragged poverty of the peasants of the village.
Posted Excellent. - DirectorFranco ZeffirelliStarsLeonard WhitingOlivia HusseyJohn McEneryWhen two young members of feuding families meet, forbidden love ensues. The true story of Romeo and Juliet took place in times of Dante Aleghieri in Verona in 1303. Franco Zeffirelli takes a Shakespearean Staging, Renaissance 1450, inspired I think in Italian frescoes Zeffirelli noted with shrewd sensitivity, such as Andrea Mategna Capella Scrovegni in such and give a clear description of the fashion end of the Middle Ages and early Renaissance. The Sunset Franco Zeffirelli is excellent and above all very suggestive to the viewer who stands at the reality of the time.

molding our reality ... and would be unfair ..; excellent staging .. great costume design and casting ... almost no detail not rigorous. Historically correct, the attack begins with Saxon monastery of Lindisfarne in 793.
The account of their customs, modes of combat and social habits under excellent staging ... make it excellent...although, in the third season in some of the helmets worn by the Saxons of Wessex helmets are English Elizabethan and production guessed that it would not be noticed"- Hectormeana - DirectorRidley ScottStarsKeith CarradineHarvey KeitelAlbert FinneyFrance, 1801. Due to a minor perceived slight, mild-mannered Lieutenant d'Hubert is forced into a duel with hot-headed irrational Lieutenant Feraud. The disagreement ultimately results in scores of duels spanning several years."The Duellists Ridley Scott film is rigorous in terms of staging; achieving photography is superb .. I'm sure Ridley Scott and his team of artists studied the paintings of the Napoleonic era .. and the character of those images. often the sunsets movies are correct but fail "vintage character"; this is ungran achieving this extraordinary film, based on a story by Joseph Conrad.
The fashion design is perfect. Choosing the environments too, is an extraordinary masterpiece. "- Hectormeana

The extraordinary staging of this version of Rostand's play, has all the showmanship, pleasure and brutality necessary to introduce in Paris in about 1630 and looks especially the first scene in the Theater of Opera still primitive; fashion design has the agility to use a sword "rapier" or show a "precious" like an apparition from another world ... the theatricality of the Baroque. The start acertadísima also looks at the site of Arras, where the French Gascones are besieged by the Spanish Armada. The Staging is a feast for the eye as Delacroix would say, and you like the Historical Film. - DirectorPatrice ChéreauStarsIsabelle AdjaniDaniel AuteuilJean-Hugues AngladeYoung Queen Margot finds herself trapped in an arranged marriage amidst a religious war between Catholics and Protestants. All Catholic voluptuous sin, the most cruel and unscrupulous power of the most terrible sense of intrigue, excellently take shape in the staging and costumes of this excellent film that introduces us to "La Cour" in the Louvre .. the voluptuous Court where Rubens painted and ruled "the Medici" and rule the Great King Henry IV of Navarre. The rigor and color of the Huguenots or Protestants costumes contrasts with the bestial sensuality of Catholics. Excelent staging, fashion design and photography
perfect pint and the Spain of Philip IV Velázquez "King Planet," is
in my opinion so perfect sunset and plays so well with the script and the casting is not very wise not to be valued "original" .. something that maybe happened to "Alfred The Great" 1969 Clive Donner.
Just as only the French put us so perfect in the French Revolution .. the Spaniards gave this the perfect body, sturdy, stoic and heroic of those who actually held the loyalty with Spanish Empire grim story. - DirectorMike LeighStarsTimothy SpallPaul JessonDorothy AtkinsonAn exploration of the last quarter century of the great, if eccentric, British painter J.M.W. Not the end of this list mention the superb performances of Casanova and Nicolas-Edme Rétif but delight the viewer in a scenario that my opinion has the decadence and enough chaos to express the time. Excellent !
