Mena was born in Cairo, Egypt and raised in Markham, Ontario, Canada. He attended the University of Toronto for Neuroscience before transferring to Ryerson University's notable theater program and graduating with a BFA in acting. Devery Jacobs was born and raised in Kahnawa:ke Mohawk Territory and is an award-winning actor and filmmaker. Vancouver native, Avan Jogia landed his first acting role as Danny Araujo on the award-winning TV movie drama A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story (2006), directed by Oscar nominee Agnieszka Holland. Jogia followed up with a recurring role on the SyFy Channel hit series Caprica (2009) as well as becoming series regular role the CW's Aliens in America (2007). Bruneau began studying acting in 2000, training at Theatre at Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe, a Canadian theater school. He pursued his theatrical training at the National Theater School of Canada, where he studied from 2002 to 2006. During his third year at the National School, Bruneau was one of the actors in a traveling children's show. One of the other actors was the son of a director who had accompanied his son on the tour and noticed Bruneau's talent. Several months later, the director, André Forcier, had Bruneau audition for the lead in the movie "The United States of Albert" (2004). Impressed with his reading, Forcier cast Bruneau in the title role. The movie was the story of a young man's journey seeking love across the United States. Following his role in the critically-acclaimed film, Bruneau continued to pursue his acting career, appearing in television and film as well as in a number of stage productions including runs of Peter Shaffer's "Equus" and Molière's "The Miser." In 2014 Bruneau was cast in the lead role of "The Kingdom of Beauty," a film by celebrated Québécois filmmaker Denys Arcand.- Peter Mensah has been doing martial arts since he was 6 years old, growing up in St. Albans, England, just north of London. A former engineer, Mensah came to Canada 11 years ago. He'd worked for British Gas developing gas fields at Morecambe Bay and had done theatre in school. He comes from an academic family. His father, an architect, relocated with his mother to their native Ghana. He only has two younger sisters. Mensah emigrated from Britain to see the world and it was a toss up whether his destination would be Canada or Australia. The paperwork for Canada came through first.
- Michael Carollo was born on New Year's Eve 1988 in Warren, Michigan. Michael is of Italian-American and French-Canadian descent. Carollo featured in ABC's cop drama, Detroit 1-8-7, with series lead Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos, Goodfellas), followed by an appearance on NBC's Chicago PD with series lead Jon Seda (Selena, La Brea). Carollo's film career kicked off with an appearance alongside Tom Hanks (Saving Private Ryan) in Greyhound, described as one of Michael's most memorable career moments. - A familiar face to film and television audiences, Victor Webster is an established actor with an impressive list of credits. Most recently, he joined the cast of the Netflix/CBC comedy "Workin' Moms," playing Mike Bolinski for two seasons. He's also recently filmed a large recurring arc on the second season of the CW's military fantasy show "Motherland: Fort Salem."
