Comedian Rosie O'Donnell produces and hosts her first daytime talk show that focuses on interviews with celebrities about acting, writing, charity work, and family life.

Asked the secret of her 99-year old mother's long life, Sue Breecker says, "I don't know, but I'd love to get it." Only 58-years old, Sue needs to know, and her search for this answer is the focus of "Mina & the Family Treasure." Over seven months, Sue journeys across a vast field of space and time, from her home in New York to a remote, seaside village in Ukraine, looking for help and hope, and the "treasure" that will let her live on. In the debut of her eponymous talk show, hostess Rosie O'Donnell welcomes guests: actor George Clooney of the hit NBC medical drama "ER"; singer Toni Braxton, who talks about her latest album Secrets; and actress Susan Lucci, known to millions of fans as Erica Kane of the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children.

Joining hostess Rosie O'Donnell for this edition are: actress and film director Penny Marshall, whose latest picture The Preacher's Wife is set to be released later in the year; Joan Lunden, hostess of ABC's Good Morning, America; and actor/dancer Savion Glover from the musical Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk.

Emmy award-winning actor Dennis Franz from the ABC crime drama NYPD Blue joins Rosie along with her other guests: Fran Drescher from the CBS sitcom The Nanny; Fran's parents Mort and Sylvia Drescher who offer restaurant reviews; and comedienne Wendy Liebman.

Rosie is joined in this broadcast by singer Gloria Estefan who recently received her second Grammy award for best Latin album. Also appearing in this edition is actor/comedian John Henton, who currently plays Overton Wakefield Jones on the hit Fox sitcom Living Single.

Rosie's scheduled guests for this edition include: Nathan Lane who chats about his movie The Birdcage; singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading, 1996 recipient of the Ivor Novello award; and Seyi Fayanju, a seventh grader from Verona, New Jersey and winner of the 1996 National Geography Bee.

Scheduled guests are: professional women's basketball player Rebecca Lobo; actress Lela Rochon star of Terry McMillan's Waiting to Exhale; comedian Martin Short; and country artist Shania Twain singing the latest single from her studio album The Woman in Me.

Guests: Janeane Garofalo star of the movie The Truth About Cats and Dogs; Rosanne Cash talks about her new album 10 Song Demo; actor/comedian Dana Carvey of the eponymous ABC sitcom; and New York Times best-selling novelist Terry McMillan who discusses the success of the book and film Waiting to Exhale.

Rosie welcomes to the show actor Tony Danza, whose latest ABC sitcom Hudson Street is set to air its final episode tonight. Danza discusses his past successes and what's next in his career. Also scheduled is rhythm and blues singer Monica performing "Why I love You So Much" from her first album Miss Thang.

Hostess Rosie O'Donnell is joined in this edition by two-time Tony award winning actor Matthew Broderick. Broderick discusses his career on stage and screen, his latest movie release The Cable Guy, co-starring Jim Carrey and Louis Gossett, Jr.; and his upcoming film directorial debut with the motion picture Infinity.

Multi-talented actress and singer Vanessa Williams stops by to chat with Rosie about the release of her new action movie Eraser which opens in wide release today. Also appearing on today's broadcast are cast members from the hit Broadway play Rent who perform a medley of songs from the show.

Rosie offers up a musical interlude from the group The Fugees; chats with iconic star of stage and screen Carol Channing; meets actor/comedian Chris Rock of the recent HBO special Bring the Pain; and talks with veteran actor Harvey Keitel about his illustrious career.

Rosie's guests include actress Christine Lahti, who just completed her first season on the CBS medical drama Chicago Hope; actress Jada Pinkett, promoting her new movie The Nutty Professor which opens this Friday; and John Tesh, discussing his career change from Entertainment Tonight anchor to musician and composer.

Soap opera fan Rosie talks with Vanessa Marcil from the ABC daytime drama General Hospital; welcomes longtime NBC Today Show anchor Jane Pauley, currently hosting Dateline; and meets sixteen year old NBA draftee Kobe Bryant, son of former NBA player Joe "Jellybean" Bryant of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Iconic Liza Minelli, daughter of actress Judy Garland, joins Rosie to talk about her life and career as an actress and a singer. Also scheduled are renowned novelist Pat Conroy, author of The Prince of Tides; and Tyson Beckford, Ralph Lauren model and VH1's 1995 "Man of the Year."

Rosie continues her love of soap opera performers with guest Erika Slezak, veteran actress from the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live. Also joining the show are Sesame Street personality Elmo; fellow talk show colleague Regis Philbin; and cast members from August Wilson's Broadway musical Seven Guitars.

From the cancelled NBC sitcom Brotherly Love, the Lawrence brothers Joey, Matthew, and Andrew visit with Rosie. Also scheduled are Katie Couric from The Today Show; and Muppet personality Miss Piggy. Musical guests The Captain and Tennille entertain with their classic 1970s tunes.

Actor Michael Keaton appears promoting his upcoming movie Multiplicity. Former Dallas star Victoria Principal talks about her latest TV movie The Abduction, premiering later in the week on Lifetime; and Sheryl Lee Ralph who entertains with selections from the Broadway musical Dreamgirls.

Legendary crooner Tony Bennett stops by the show to perform some of his most popular standards and chat with Rosie. James Caan discusses his new summer blockbuster Eraser; and in honor of tomorrow's Fourth of July holiday, Rosie hosts an old-fashioned pie-eating contest.

Actress Teri Garr talks about her career and upcoming movie Michael. Prolific television and film producer/director Garry Marshall chats about his current and upcoming projects; Boston comic Joe Yannetty and singer Lainie Kazan entertain the audience with their talents.

Rosie is joined by actor Peter Berg from the CBS medical dram Chicago Hope; popular Food Network host Chef Emeril Lagasse; and veteran actress Ruth Warrick, who plays Phoebe Wallingford on the ABC daytime drama All My Children. Multiple Grammy award-winner Linda Ronstadt sings for the audience.

Film, television, and recording superstar Cher is Rosie's special guest. They're joined by actress Christine Baranski from the CBS sitcom Cybill; former heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist George Foreman; and environmental artist Lillian Colton.

Rosie interviews fellow television talk show colleague Mike Douglas. They're joined by actress Deidre Hall, who has played the popular character Dr. Marlena Evans on the NBC soap opera Days of our Lives since 1976. Musical guest Oleta Adams shows off her rhythm and blues talent with a song from her last album.
