This clever and charming animated comedy addresses that persistent question: How does Santa Claus manage to deliver all those presents to deserving children on one single night? Well, according to this film, it's far more complex and high-tech than you might expect! James McAvoy voices the character of Arthur, Santa's clumsy younger son who finds himself in charge of a mission to deliver a misplaced present to a little girl named Gwen. Babes in Toyland (1986)

In this musical originally broadcast as a TV movie, Drew Barrymore stars as a harried 11-year-old who has no time to enjoy Christmas because she's too busy taking care of her siblings and cooking for her family. Good thing for sleep! Because slumber is what whisks her away one Christmas Eve to Toyland, where she meets a cast of jolly and not so jolly characters and learns the true spirit of the season. Look out for a young Keanu Reeves as Jack Nimble.

A Christmas Memory (1997)

This TV movie, based on Truman Capote's short story, focuses on the friendship between a 7-year-old boy and an unmarried older female cousin. Eric Lloyd stars as Buddy, a young boy whose family has fallen apart and who is sent to live in the south. Patty Duke plays Buddy's new friend Sook. Together they forge a strong relationship and find fun inventive ways to celebrate the holidays.

Mrs. Santa Claus (1996)

Here's a sweet TV movie musical starring the incomparable Angela Lansbury as the wife of Santa Claus, played with gruff vigor by Charles Durning. In this tale set in 1910, Mrs. Claus takes the reins of Santa's sleigh and lands herself and the reindeer in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she befriends many immigrant families and gets involved with the political issues of the day.

Gotta Catch Santa Claus (2008)

In this animated holiday movie, young Trevor (Cory Doran) and his best friend Veronica (Lisa Lennox) begin debating the actual existence of Santa Claus (William Shatner). To prove Veronica wrong, who thinks it's impossible for Santa to be real, Trevor, with the help of his friends, concocts a scheme to capture Santa. Amazingly, they succeed but not without awakening one of Santa's oldest foes.

Christmas Oranges (2012)

Here's a heartwarming tale about a winsome orphan named Rose (Bailee Michelle Johnson), who manages to teach everyone around her a lesson about Christmas spirit. Veteran TV actor Edward Hermann plays crusty curmudgeon Mr. Crampton.

Miracle in the Wilderness (1991)

Kris Kristofferson and Kim Cattrall star as Jericho and Dora Adams, a couple who are captured along with their infant son by a local tribe seeking revenge on account of a transgression committed by Jericho years ago. The tribe's plan? To take away Jericho and Dora's child and kill Jericho as retribution. But Dora decides to tell the story of Christmas, and a potentially disastrous outcome is avoided.

The Elf Who Didn't Believe (1997)

This 1997 movie tells the tale of young Elmer (Sean Donnelly) who as one of Santa's elves just doesn't believe in Christmas anymore. He eventually lands in an orphanage and meets a young girl who helps him gain a little perspective on things.

Rosemont (2008)
