Joker (2019)
101 more joker remakes needed
This is a perception of a character in the batman universe that is much more clever than you initially think.
Firstly it's in my opinion that a Joker franchise is needed this movie left me wanting to watch a continued journey of the characters development and wanted to see it dig deeper, get darker, and make me feel even more discomfort. I love the R rated hero movies much more than the marvel movies but that may just be preference. I love gritty realities that push the boundaries.
And i see a dark but beautiful future for joker movies that contain no limits, no restrictions.
This movie depicts a series of events that no one really knows whether happened or did not. Except from the killing of Bruce Waynes parents.
Its a slow and well told tale and anyone who attempts to present a performance of an insane protagonist will prevail because there are no restrictions and it opens up a side to story telling and performance that really can go in any direction.
And i think both the actor and director produced a compelling piece of cinematography, that will be remembered by many
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)
For the fans
There are no attempts of grandeur here, its a continuation of the final series of breaking bad. Whats impressive is how the theme and connection to the breaking bad universe remians to be a gripping and masterful lure. I felt like this was an extension of season 5 and thats all i wanted and expected.
It portrays the events after the final episode which was Walts send off and allows Jessie to have his own send off.
We learn what happened to Jessie in the time he was locked up under the protection of Todd and co. And more importantly we get to see the finishing tale to Jessies' story.
For me its Breaking bad its a prolonged episode yes but its gripping and engaging, its everything it needed to be.
Inside No. 9: And the Winner Is... (2018)
losing it
The theme of this show seems to have changed in the fouth series. Different atmosphere. Not to my liking. Its lost its edge and dark feel to it
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
amazing and unique
John wick the man who can not be killed. This movie doesnt do cliches. Its fresh its unique its brilliant. Best action movie and trilogy you will ever see. The fight scenes and amazing. I cant critisize this movies at all. Hope they make a 4th
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
not what it presents itself to be but..
Its enjoyable. A good idea. And the acting to the story is entertaining which ultimately is all i think they wanted to achieve and they did. It doesn't work lets not play games here. You are asked to make decisions but arent actually allowed to make decisions so whats the point right. The movie only has one ending and only goes in the directions it wants to so your choices dont matter at all. You just get to see something happen before it loops back and makes you choose the option you didnt choose. I guess we didnt really need to interactive nature of it. But its quite fun.
The Favourite (2018)
It's a COMEDY
Some may not know but this movie is a comedy. Think monty python. Its different. Its unique. Its very good and it works. Very crazy it jumps from serious to silly. Great acting, great story.
Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
You will become obsessed
It is a great movie. They represent Queen Freddy and the whole band really well. Its entertaining from beggining to end. You just fall in love with Queen and the music they have produced. Freddy was such an odd character but very entertaining. The movie was put togethet well with great depth. Its a great story and its not just one big party which is to be appreciated.
I would call it a must see.
Glass (2019)
Budget spent on the actors
Not worth it. The ending to this movie was just a barrell of cliche moments. And could be found in a millenials do not cringe compilation. As it becomes clear MR glass' plan comes to fruition the reaction of the randomly placed pedestrians as they look at there phones to see this remarkable footage thats going around the internet like a virus is the stuff of cringeworthy cinema legacy. It left me feeling sick inside seeing such poor overacting. And the three protagnists links, mr glass mother, unbreakables son, and 9 year old mr splits girlfriend. All sat on a bench holding hands with weird smiles on there faces really pained me.
I didnt like how the movie was stuck in one location its appeared cheap. And lazy. The acting from all actors was not great. James Mcavoy is capeable of better. Yes its great he can act feminine then angry and masculine. Then like a child it's great, however isn't enjoyable to watch. The famle psychologist had to much screentime and offered the viewer nothing. I didnt appreciate all the close face shots of her when she was talking. Her realtionship with the 9 year olds girlfriend was weird aswell. The final fight was poor it was just an old Bruce Willis pushing James Mcavoy against a bus. With some cut scenes of people looking serious or saying some silly things. The whole movie looked rushed and cheap with no depth. Not worth watching you gain nothing as a viewer
