Crop And Save
Ridiculous dull flat boring!! No story no interesting characters worst direction ** ever ** ...moronic pretense at tension with slow moving camera work and dumb plodding music
Nonsense dialogue while they stomp around in the dark
Dreary zero-tension sadistic scenes with no fright factor at all
Do not waste your time on this pile of dung.
Peaky Blinders (2013)
I could listen to these guys all day accents awesome Sam Neill omggg he s great and all the hearts to Cillian Murphy for his gorgeous eyes and all round great presence
Everyone is terrific
Thanks for this amazing series we love it including off kilter soundtrack fun :)
The Last Samurai (2003)
A hollywood movie
To those griping about authenticity well I didnt expect it
Of course there's gonna be a whole lot of loose narrative points and unrealistic depictions but it was enjoyable and Tom is always watchable.
Honestly these people desperate needed thermals how do you survive a formidable winter in dainty slip ons, fine socks and breezy flowing silks, and those draughty minimalistic abodes shudder ..wonder what it was really like?
Rock of Ages (2012)
Late to the party on this
But loved it
So much fun
Tom Cruise is awesome in everything he does so good as Stacee... everyone did a great job, RB and AB love duet, what can i say so adorable
Thanks to all for this fun flick.
The Lincoln Lawyer (2022)
Has grown on me
Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is gorgeous and awesome in this role, anyone complaining about him is either a contrarian, jealous or determined to be hard to please.
The daughter is annoying and looks way older than 13 The rest of the cast is good Lorna & Cisco Maggie Trevor is so irritating but he's supposed to be. Im weird in that i read plots before i watch shows so I know everything that's gonna happen and watch it unfold
Are there any white male judges left in America? Maybe Netflix could pop one in as token gesture occasionally?? .it's ok guys, really lol.
Senior Year (2022)
Fun for ten minutes
Then she woke up
Wilson couldn't act her way out of a vomit bag zero camera charisma
I didn't get past the next ten minutes
My review is too short!
That young chick was great hope we see more of her in stuff.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016)
Enjoyed this lots
Except for the stupid irritating non credible daughter GAH
Great action and awesome female operative!!
Tom is Mr Fabulous ....that just goes without saying
Always a joy to see Teabag:):)
Wish they'd made more Cruise Reacher movies.
The Dunes (2021)
Martin Copping great
Funny how people complain about "terrible acting" when people arent "acting", they re just doing the hardest thing of all...being natural and present before the camera. Guess we get so used to what's actually over acting we dont see the real skill of just being.
You can see the difference as soon as the cops arrive, both terrible, a phoney feeling presence/ " acting a part" This is a solid offering really enjoyed it.
The Girl from Plainville (2022)
Could see how this unfolded felt i got a good handle on all characters
Elle Fanning brilliant nuanced performance Chloe always awesome from Gummo til forever dad coco all great
Oh sweet pea :(
Sadness ....so much sadness
Could see I think what went down for Carter and how they got to that point, the human mind is a tricky beast.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014)
This is so cliche so implausible Chris Pine does his best with the altogether ordinary everything ...dunno how he kept a straight face
KB as the Russian let's not go there, he was just an awful casting choice
Keira Knightly ? Can we just stop putting her in front of the camera? She's always incredibly irritating and unconvincing.
Seven Seconds (2018)
All the cast so great
The cops are amongst the best Ive ever seen
...DiAngelo Osario Petey and Willcox.
Fish a great character many fine performances
Unfortunately this show deteriorates into some stupid narrative arcs which spoils lots of good work.
I cant recommend it overall.
Flawless with many familiar faces
A rest from the over cooked Bridgerton extravaganza
All the characters are great and well played, and an engrossing enough tale well written by you know who
Lakeview Terrace (2008)
Shame we had the ambulance scene at end
This is pretty ok lifted by the two male leads
It should have had a hard ass ending though instead of well...the usual silly sop.
Hubby def shoulda died Abel should have prevailed it should have ended with him peering through window at new arrivals
That would a been creepy.
Brilliant re imagining
Everyone is awesome in this, absolutely loved it, the look feel sound and shaking menace of it.
George Mackay perfect as Ned... Essie Davis wow just saw her in Nitram, now this, what a presence she is.
Justin K is a film maker of daring and cunning, drawing us in and holding us captive. Looking fwd to seeing what more he has to bring us.
I guess one of the gifts of somethimg like this is its ability draw out and expose what goes on behind people's eyes, a reviewer on here complained Ned has pale skin yet he has been out in the Australian sun, and to "go figure". Ha ha. This is one of the most remarkable examples of "way to totally miss the point, mate" I've seen in my lifetime.
Nicholas Hoult added so much to the endeavour, goddam great choice as Fitzpatrick"..what are you making ....curds ....yum." and interesting to see Nick Cave s son Earl.
Young Ned very good too.
Thanks to all for the immersive cinematic exp of the Kelly Gang in Frocks (yes crazy is scary..) wonder if Mick has watched it??
And the intrusive soundtrack yes OK IT'S TURN OF THE FREAKIN DECADE the films and music omg
I couldn't understand a word of this subtitles please if yr going to do authentic accents, might as well have been in Danish
As for Buddy ....who said kids should be seen and not heard yeah well in 1969...they were
Hated everything about it...and the exhibition by handsome hubby Jamie Dornan doing Everlasting Love was the dizzy limit.
This paints Bryant as a sympathetic character, no mention of his torture of animals grimy obsessions and disgusting leanings, anyone ticked off with life could easily identify with "Nitram" and imagine they are just like him ....and yeah why not bust out, and cut sick on society.
Poor victim bile being spewed up.
Not very good judgement Justin. A big fat mistake. Yeah the perfs are all great but like, so what. All my research tells me Bryant was/is an evil cretin, and nothing like the guy portrayed here. So i say again...why?
The Undoing (2020)
Is there anything more boring than
....oh well he's just a psycho
Used up hours of my life thinking this might go somewhere interesting
Sad and dispiriting with no winners and a VERY traumatised boy who will never recover.
Hated everything about this trite contrived poorly written poorly acted drivel except for Henry who was terrific and stayed focused despite a mess of a production.
Rather have a Harlan Corbin tale and that's saying something, and serioisly DS, retire already.
Thought it was quite good
There was effort made to provide some depth and context, the characters were believable for the genre, there was attention to detail and the leads did their best to convince in a narrative that was pretty run of the mill.
It was nasty enough without being gratuitous, it's an ok telemovie to kill a bit of time with but don't expect to go away raving about it.
Stay Close (2021)
Ummm...sooo this was hard to choke down
A guy disappears and a cop says hey wait a minute! 16th April! Thats the same date ** disappeared 17 years ago!!
I honestly don't know how James Nesbitt kept a straight face throughout the rest of the episode, and why does Richard Armitage put himself in Harlan Corben's sights as a go-to for his lame brained convoluted tales?
It's a mystery.
Watched as much as I did for Cush Jumbo but yeah, I had to walk.
The Flight Attendant (2020)
Unbearable beyond all endurance
I had to turn it off before i smashed the screen with something.
Irritating over acted very poorly written bore
Oh my review is too short so I repear over acted poorly written BORE !!!
Hotel Portofino (2022)
This is nicely done, a very pleasant binge thanks
Only 20 reviews? That's a bit poor. Anyway I liked this, its not nor does it try to be wildly groundbreaking. The charactors and well drawn and engaging all performances strong, some will say its cliche but really what does that mean. There are typical traits to be portrayed and this is done with care and in a genuine heartfelt way. Cecil is a great cad though we see his soft underbelly, loved Melissa she was the perfect pre debutante, best giggly, silly endearing girl in a period piece I think Ive ever seen in a very long time, Claudine was excellent, Lucien an absolute delight along with Nish, no one over-did their portrayal, staying within character confines which was awesome.
Def hope there's a Season 3.
Oh and gosh so beautiful visually. Well done all.
The Intruder (2019)
That film makers sat around a table with THIS script and did a high five "hell yeah let's do it" is kind of mind blowing.
Why was this dreary plodding hackneyed thing made, money resources spent on it? It just has nothing whatever to add to anything.
Around the World in 80 Days (2021)
Mean spirited reviews here
Gorgeous animation and some fun characters. The scorpions were great and lots of great attention to detail. Shame that once AGAIN a female had to be the smart one showing the dumb boys how it's done.
Sooooo over this!
At first I thought wow two male leads cant believe it..but no soon enough the savvy heroine rocked up. Can we stop with the virtue signalling in children's cinema?? It's nauseating.
The movie was fast paced and entertaining enough.
Nine year old grandson enjoyed but any older would be too late.
The Tourist (2022)
This better get better fast!
Im struggling hard AF to get past this EXCRUCIATING conversation with this dumb a** copper bumbling about the subject of "oh well, what, you can't remember anything?"
A tired done to death trope anyway, being made a monstrous meal of with atrocious acting, apparent mystification (never heard of amnesia apparently) , suspicion of LIES, dropped pen, stuttering, bumbling, rinse and repeat dialogue.
Rack off you annoying bat and talk to the effing doctor.
Like I say, this better get better fast. Real fast.
CSI: Miami (2002)
David Caruso makes this watchable
The support cast leaves much to be desired though, getting so sick of females in these cop shows dolled up in pale suits and high heels grubbing about in horrendous blood spattered crime scenes.
Ffs put some work clothes on.
Calleigh was quite simply unwatchable, esp after her glam makeover, so self conscious and vain ugh! I had to fast forward the absurd sight of her yellow tresses, esp bad too once she started cosying up with that lantern jawed colleage, truly nauseating.
Speedle I like, unaffected and just gets on with it, Eric good enough too. Miss the engaging team from CSI NY which is the only other Ive watched.
I'm only through S2 and if I keep on it will be because of H.
The ME Alexx is borderline but endurable, very unrealistic at times overly made up and heavy lidded acting. Really miss Sid!
It's ok as an easy binge but not a patch on CSI NY which was a 10 for me.
Oh and the hard ass women gutting wrenching slicing gouging reeking dead bodies without a flicker of disquiet, first Alexx now the glam new chick, while the guys wince is so so so annoyingly woke and utterly phoney. I guess it's just a tv show and light binging but why so ridiculous?
