Legatii (2022)
Unwatchable & a waste of time
After 36 years of living on this planet I think I've found the worst movie ever. I would give it 0 stars if it would be possible to do so.
This is unwatchable. The sound is all over the place. The acting is non-existent. The plot is at the same time linear and utter non-sense. The ending is predictable and horrible at the same time.
I'm used to bad movies but this is the first time I regret watching something.
Family Guy: Saving Private Brian (2006)
The US Army Kicks!
OK... this episode starts really funny : with the US Army coming to James Woods High (Chris's high school from Quahog) and trying to brain wash teenagers so that they join the war in Iraq. In the beginning of the episode, Family Guy spoofs Mike Rooney, Ray Romano, Muddy Waters and The Wizard of Oz. The next day Brian goes to the recruitment office to tell his opinion, but unfortunately, he and Stewie get recruited and later sent to Iraq. The whole training at the Army is really funny (also because they spoof Zinedine Zidane! and mention 4 musicals from Broadway). On a second plan: Chris becomes a rock star at his high school and starts having attitude problems; so Marilyn Manson steps in and clears his head, also giving consistent advices to Peter on how to raise kids! The rest of the episode is hilarious, but it ends in a nonsense (the whole democracy just stepping in in Iraq; which is not quite that funny, but in terms of US politics is real)... In conclusion, just enjoy the show: another Family Guy classic!
Bionic Woman: Faceoff (2007)
Improvement
Finally! An overall improvement of the new "Bionic Woman"! In this episode the age/desires conflict between the 2 sisters deepens: while Jaime is interested in saving an American doctor/secret agent/spy caught by terrorists in Paraguay, her sister, Becca seems to have a more egocentric behavior: she's a teenager. Also, in this episode Sarah is caught by Jonas's boys, but she manages to get away after taking Jae hostage. Ruth does some psychological tests on Sarah (not relevant for the story, nor for Sarah's illness), Antonio gets a hell of a beating from Jaime, and Jonas lies, lies, lies: Jaime has only 5 years to live; after that the bionics just stop working! He promises to help Jaime, but we'll see if he keeps his word. The episode ends with the single poorly acted scene (except of course the fight scene between Jaime and Antonio) between the 2 sisters (secrets, promises, trust, the same emotional stuff, just badly done! Those 2 should really take some acting classes!). That's all for now! Really glad the show improved!
Bionic Woman: Sisterhood (2007)
It just goes lower and lower ...
OK, this episode is by far more badly done than the first 2. The whole plot about Jaime babysitting the Canadian girl is rubbish (if not crappy - it's not like it isn't for the 100th time we see this in a movie!). Next: what's this all about Will not being who Jaime knew? We (and Jaime) are told from Sarah that Will was a bad man - studying and planning his every move with Jaime. Hello?! We already knew that! Jaime already knew that - she found Will's records. And as a bonus: Antonio (Isaiah) acts like a crazy man (what's up with that?) and the rest of the crew has a medium performance. Oh, and let me not forget: who's Sarah working for? Is it just revenge or another company? And where does Jonas get all that money and why didn't he catch or at least kill Sarah from the beginning... The plot seemed very shallow from the start. And it isn't getting better! Hope this show gets on the track soon or it'll loose big time!
Bionic Woman: Paradise Lost (2007)
Paradise lost ... still looking for hope
This episode continues in the same manner the pilot; maybe a little more badly done than the pilot (but the pilot is made to impress,no?). Definitely it still is in the same style: fast paced from times to times (many times too fast), simple and full of clichés in the critical parts. Also, at this point the show lacks complexity: it's just plain old stuffy! Although there still remains hope: the diversity of the conflicts between characters and the vastity of the plots (altough still linear). As for the acting: poor to medium, with one exception - Miguel Ferrer who is well-fitted in his character. Anyway I'm still waiting to see what happens in the next episode!
Bionic Woman: Pilot (2007)
Give it a shot !
OK... just watched the pilot for Bionic Woman and I'm not sure what to say. At first sight it seems just another action show where the producers mixed conspiracies, the US Army, superheroes & supervillains and a pinch of love. But...
I have to say I never saw a second of the original show, but, although the pilot isn't much, I'll give it a shot! Because it left me with a sour taste in my mouth, a craving for order & a need to clear the fog; definitely the story is predictable, but it also seems sort of mixed up... There are too many pieces missing in this puzzle; maybe something good will come out of this remake - they surely have everything in place!
Oh, and another reason to watch "Bionic Woman" (for those of you who haven't already done so) : "Prison Break" is on vacation and so is "Lost" ... So give it a shot!
