a cute little...
24 February 2021
Story about teenagers awkwarditious and'' im humbly there for you ''-behaviour, where the butterflies shoots grains of sugar each time a smile or a kiss or even just the reckognition of attention makes everything go jelly in every joint of the body and the toungemuscles seize to work at all, yeah its the things everybody will become or have been through if old as me the grumpy old man, looking back in reminiscence.

its not a super interesting story, script wise its overuse of words like ''eehm'' and ''hey...'' drags down quality, cast young and not spangling like stars yet, but the environments and situations that the mains lives are quite fine. also overall good impression by the extras in the background, they are pretty game and seems not to be afraid of the camera lens, that shows signs of good direction.

productionwise its good filmed, sounds good, its edited quite seamless and the weedy neighbourhood locations well chosen. the musical score though is a bummer though, feeling like being in a cheap banjo climpering western scorewise. but thats my tinnitusious ears of mine...

so this is the kind of debutants dream come through, and never fails nor succeeds, , time filler yes, generic yes, original no, so therefore a small recommend from'' tgom ''.

Cal Fire (2021– )

great
23 February 2021
The do have a stake out on this tv series. its documentary enmasse', it takes you right to the frontline of ( actually even known to me the grumpy old man living 8000 miles away in norway) named fires from the previous fireseason 2020, from the start to mopup, from handcrew made lines to dozerline till contaiment is secured, rolling out 10000's feets of fire line hoses, carrying 15-30 kg water pumps, following the fire chiefs in their battle assesment, creating cities or camps for 1000's of firefighters to rest and recover for the next battle. we follow inhabitants in the rsg areas till evac orders are given, and the sad aftermaths of lost lives, lost houses and burnt out history.

i love the way theyve managed to keep up the pace in the episodes, they must have had tons of material to use, and the small parts that we are allowed to see are darn facinating, very scary, and help keeping my tense shoulders up where they belong...thats under my ears. top notch production with a little bit of everything.

i'm not a firefighter myself, but if i was young today i wouldve emigrated over the dam, to take part in the horendous and life threatening work they do. ive always been afraid of wildfires since childhood experiences, so im the guy who thinks 30 mtrs safety zone round our summercabin , even in wet and rainy western norway.and thanks to the internet and the information providers of american, state and governmental information sites, and available satelite sources, makes me able, at least telepathicly, help scold the fire with water and retardant in situ. and with the help of bill gabbert running the website wildfire today that works as a bloodhound in the trenches wether its on law making and downsizing, new fires and updates, and general developments in the fire equipment world. great site.

but this series is an idea ive been thinking about for years but now its come, and i hope for god sake theyll make this a returning show for the years to come, not because its fun, but because its dire and nescesarry for people to see and learn and become educated. i know living in another part of the world is that ive learned a heck of a lot of geography the past 6 years. will i recommend a look at this pilot project, oh yeah man...i might even do a fundraiser for the next one.

its the story...
22 February 2021
That tells the more hidden /oblivious parts of writer roald dahls life as a familyman father and husband, acted superbly hugh bonneville. in his first marriage he had 5 children, among them the name of the ntitle olivia. olivia died due to encephalities after a short period sickness of measles, a common outcome of one of the socalled'' child diseases''.

its a heartbreaking biographicall we all witness, on different reactions and crisis management, where the traditional ways of mourning in the british society where mens and womens reactions in those days where kutymised and feelings especially for mails were rather rough and icecold, and weakness of crying unheard of. even the verbal use of the name olivia meant hardships for years to the author. its also the story about tessa, that was olivias sister and playmate at near same age, and how her sisters death became a story of guilt and anxiousness, especially towards her father.

productionwise, its perfectly precise on the era of time, its a filmatographic masterpiece, the score subtle and grevious, and the set designs and used localities are upfront work. the cast delivers beyond expectations, and they have managed to display the grell and sad emotions as well as the weather in that part of the world

its a film that many who've lost a young child will find reckognizabel, and may awaken strong emotions, to all those do not watch this film alone, do see this as a group therapy as a tool to commemorate what you had and still have left in the memories. i cant guarantee a cry-free evening after watching this, therefore a recommend from the grumpy old man

if you like small mysteries...
22 February 2021
With some petit agatha cristies methods to solve it ,and you wont care even if its cliched, semipro made and acted, and seems fascinated by the thought of eterna youth and eternal life, then view this one.

its extremely basic in its recepie, but there arent any big glitches neither plot, story nor acting. its just a little stiff with wrinkled foreheads and noses like a bloodhound. the director hasnt given the actors the chance to be spontanious, and goes like the script says.

so most of all its a small cast, low budget, not so bad filmed nor edited, but its just that its daft and out of punch in todays battle of the silverscreen, so as a little gem as a tv time filler it will work. its all average, and its not unrecommended from the grumpy old man.

If youre into south korean comedy setups. its the local take on ''how to kill your immortal spouces, or mockinbirds etc'', quite funny, but a little bit slow due to the south korean hang to make the movies long, nearly 120 mins, chop it to 90 mins wouldve been perfect. i viewed a terrible english subtitled version, but the moviemakers has made an esperantolike, universal lookalike so youll understand the plot without having a clue what they say.

acting, score and some effects are great so a small recommend from the grumpy old man

Other than its extremely childish, extremely gory, extremely good design and make up, very nice and overdone visual effects, a real star wars/trek/superman wooper like story, with quite a few psychopatic bosses in the line up.

but most of all its meant to be stupid, heavenly cheesy, ironic and funny , and hard to genreficate, cause its multi this and that. its a recommend though from the grumpy old man.

But ever so cliched, dumb descisionmaking kinda story, with a clumsy caracterbuilding and messed up timeline. it also lacks the realfeel acting, a script that could be better evolved and the historical basement very loose, quite stupid actually., when a load of raindeer calves threatening you with stone and bone quacking some kind of icelandic esperanto, wheres the coherence.

apart from some brute forcede bloody gore in between and some fine scenic shoots, there aint much to talk about, so do take the right turn, as the grumpy old man didnt.its a no recommend...

its not a 101...

Guide to treat an autistic person so beware and behold, and whos really the autistic individual. anyway its a slowburning a little on acid tubular bell-ending story about a father a daughter and a dead mother.the core caretaker was the mum, meaning caring for his vividly hyperactive child that haunts him like a purgatorial whirlwind, seeking help, if so from infinity itself. so magnetotherapy seems to be the last resort, will it help or not...?

its a slowburning horror thriller, where you wait and wait for something apocalyptic to happen, but it flames out time and again. autism isnt unknown to me, having some light spectrumers in the vicinity, and yes , they have ways to absorb things around that to us a-z sound and healthy never sees and never cares to think about as troublesome. ive had quite a few aha moments of children acting as brats due to unknown reasons, till years later when diagnose set, when one set of answer to the clue was given. it was the sounds, or more correctly the smatting sounds around the food table that made the kid snap for years, ending up never eating in the same room as the rest of the group. so auditorial boost happens. i could mention more and more over, but the stress is real believe me, and the numbers of misunderstandings was and is still vast and problematic to understand.

so i might say that many will reckon something from this film, but as a blockbuster it wont be acclaimed, and will render into oblivion after a while, at least in the filmatographic overstimulated grumpy old mans mind. the acting is pure average, the story and caracter building pretty shallow and extremely clueless, and what the main theme is , is hard to say. is it a horrorthriller or a psychothriller? have a look yourself, and eventually make a recommend yourself. cause i wont ...yet.

Money on other people thats making money of the weak individuals of society, its drug addicts this time, and the business milking money through the practice of putting people into detoxification centers, paid for either by insurance or federal arraingments, fixem, let the free after 30 days, give them a safehouse, where drugs are available, and start all over again. its based on true stories but its hard to believe for sure...

i liked the idea of this film, but i was not happy with the extreme smoothness of the crimes in the plot. neither are the acting good, and mr grillo...well i dont know what to say, but i could easily had done his role of 20 lines of verbal acting.not good.

but its good to spray some limelight on the actual practice, where are the chaperones in this system, is it money well spent or is it just pure business as all health care seems to be in the usa?

should you see this film, yes by all means, its just a movie, so a small recommend from the grumpy old man

oh hresus...
19 February 2021
The makers of this movie really touched a sore spot in the grumpy old mans mind, namely the semioffficiaal corrupt system of professional legal guardianship in the united states of america, wher they dig gold out of the weakest and oldest in the population and in many cases its all done with the law in hand.

i liked the revenge part, otherwise cruel acting, and decent score, (86 mins in its a extremely bold piece of music), editing and plottede with prescision, i cant give it less than a 10. its fiction but it is like this in real life too. my thoughts to all the victims and their family and friends, its almost like sending people into the auswitch birkenau gaschambers.

a sigh of...

Frustration, the battle between young and old, east and west, religions, culture, sexualism and sekularism in the pakistani ghettos in the urban environment of usa's chicago.

a girl want to dance, but that strikes against her granddads way of reading the quuran and living a pure life of islam, so its the battle set to justify her life and her dance.

its technically not a 8th wonder of the world, the editing aint steady and some scenes seems malplaced according to the way i read the plot. but its a low cost production, basicly made on pure will, and do send the message in a way that will provoke and disharmonate the socalled harmony. its also a finger pointed towards american suspiscion, counterterrorism and being a muslim living or trying to visit the freedom nation number 1.

the grumpy old man do see the the fist in their making, and may agree to the hypocritical critique against this and that. if youre in for the dance there aint much to see, but the danceuse do have a shining light of beauty in her. so a small recommend.

a film you...
17 February 2021
Might regret that you started to watch. its so easy and smug in the start until all of a sudden your entwined into something very very cruel that you really regret you put on for your kids at your saturday family getogether by the screen.

its the story about the well educated, wannabe filmaker that noone will take serious, neither as a person or her recent work. she also has a mouthfull of bimbolistic chatter that only the most precarious and patient person are able to live with. so when all the naysayers has turned her into a ''looser'' on the filmfront, shes hit by a shot of ptsd and comes up with a sinister plan to make ''them'' believe in her, and that she can manage better than anyone, and that the completed product will create attention.

its a slow burner of a tacky horrorthriller, it has a dull start, but when the cooking plate is on full every sane person will remove the hand, cause when the boiling point is reached, youre in for a pretty gory autobiographic cv of a jobless filmaker.

the cast is very small on actors, they act fine though, the main does the pathinery into an art of itself, and the director has screwed together a story that possibly couldve happened in real life. the grumpy old man though who doesnt like films with tirades of chatter gives just 6 stars, but the idea and concept very good.

17 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Thats for sure, a psychopathic stalker that kills to involve others, using spyware on women pc's and phones to set the track for his next move, all because of girls night out and a blessed but unfortunate one night stand.

its a film made for a tv audience, therefore no bestiallic scenes nor graphic content, but it has some intense moments and of course loads of stupid descicion making that intensionally put in there to awake careere hunters to avoid doing thgese mthings in real life.

the cast is no more than the faces we usually gets from lifetime, dolled up in super chick clothes and shoes, neck and footlaced all over, a wolrld of luxury that wont happen to you . its also filled with an overdose of caracter building, social networking and daft dialouges coherent with the tv genre.

so nothing new, a time filler for the female audience, and just a small recommend from the grumpy old man.

An average acted, no more than anticipated story, but with extremely lively and brilliant special visuals and audiographic effets, a score that hums you through the absolute worst jetload noisy parts, and an amazing job done scouting for actual locations.

its a film that you should see whatever stars given, my eight is basicly there due to extremely well made audiovisual product, that gives a new dimension to the word superheroism. its short on smalltalk and caracterbuilding, its action en masse, and a sequel has to come, ill look forward to that hope it comes before the grumpy old man fades away.a recommend

But the rest is like a 1001 tips for the sex-bored couples out there. so if you tune your vibes on with a sexy undertone you will like this. i laughed ,i smirked, i agreed alot and also disagreed alot. but youll see the sign yourself if your 20+ years marriage, and will see them then all young hunkers out there.

great acted, not one boring moment, far too much honesty and an extreme dose of deflattering dehumbled shamefullness that makes you wanna crawl into your skin in modesty of the human kind, the deanimalized sexual version of the mankind of today. the grumpy old man that still growls to my better half recommends. its tantalizing and invigorating ...and sexual.

from a country stiving...
16 February 2021
With heavy pandemic issues in real time and a rather rusty filmindustry, this is a progress on moviemaking that i hope will proceed in the years to come...

its a apocalyptic drama where a virus, seemingly much more deadly than the corona variants we're dealing with in situ, more like the black plague kind of disease is my guess. its played out at a ''private school'' for boys with posh students and rather old fashion administrative structures and orders. its a pretty locked up, closed fence society with little input from the outer world, so when one of the students gets expelled for pranking the schools property, he is met with societal decay and selfjustice due to pandemic panic and has to protect his own home and ill father with anything at hand. eventually he gets back to the school premises where the fortification of the school has already begun.

its a film about inner justice, prowling, vigilantees murder as selfdefence and murder to survive. its also a film that creates and differs men from humans and heros from humans, and woman into monsters.

its a well acted movie , even though there are some pretty mediocre theater in periods, but that is more a lack of fantasy and a rigorious way of direction by the directors, writers and producers. so the acting rescources and loads of additional scientific material could have been used to make it even better, but when the tough gets going it gets hot, and ill admit that my shoulders were up under my ears at moments.

the squemish viewer will for surtain ask why, what, where and how come, e.g. howcome these students were immunized and not becoming ill after being in touch with the lepracons, and where is the governments task forces. its also an issue how to make an end to a story like this, i didnt like the finals, but it gives some opportunities for a sequeling update in the near future.

so one songs chimes in my ears after viewing thish british pandemic havoc, cause frankie goes to hollywood once sang'' when two tribes goes to war ,a point is all that you can score''. let this be the point as the grumpy old man gives a recommend. it is what it is, a progression in quality filmaking, done with a twist even though the generic replication here and there.

Wont be the same after this , brilliantly made heck of a nitwork of a dark crime comedy, made for nearly everyone . the acting from the pretty star spangled cast are just amazing at all levels, and when you come over such a combination of fawlty towers and recently made arizona at a pretty human real life level you shouldnt miss that.

its the complexity of a clusterred mind that drives the story, the storyplotters has done an amazing job, giving us jump scare and shock and awe moments outta nothing. so do as the grumpy old man and better half did, tune in on breaking news in yuba county its real and its good.

15 February 2021
Until its over is the only negative i can come up with because it seems never ending. its a psychological drama horror film , a real timebending experience between wormhole passages that communicates with oldies goldies handheld telephones. i cant help it but i lost some dimension of time here and there, and deserve a 2 look to encode the sublime messages sent between the caracters, but a very intense psychopathic show where you will have to move your sympathy many a time. so if you wanna change your history just call 777.........

acting and production and score are top division, and its just a short message from the grumpy old man, its a must see and a recommend

Then youll have quite abit comedy show, even the music works, play it on real speed youll leave it unless your cast and crew. its a terrible ''technical'' production on every branch, and the fever of making homemade videocinematography because thats fun and the best turns 109F.

the acting seems like a klebsiella infection on the loose, and the beastie boy trolls are worse and lamer than any ive seen ever, and that is a lot. the ''special effects'' uses all of grandma bakers baking stuff and colours they could find in the kitchen closet, but they seem to have forgotten what a squirt of heinz couldve done.

so why do the grumpy old man give a generous 1 stars for this pillbarking bikers pandemonium. well there are some storyline....

Russian caviar or alaskan lobster served to the feinsmaeckers of silver screen entertainment, so if youre looking for good script, intellectual dialouges, existensial human ethics, vertigizing filmatographics and senior editing management et cetera dont even try this out. and just a warning to all prone to epilepcy, there are large amounts of blinking lights that may give you the shivering hi!!

because its has bad sound, lame special effects, incoherent plot, extremely bad lightsetting and unsteady camera movements, crank call musical score, and stupid children songs chiming outta silly animatronics.

so this said, its all bound to become a cult classic for the gory horror nerd, even though just covered in hydraulic oil and for the rest itll become a see-saw within 15 minutes.

acting is pretty operational decent from mr cage, but the rest of the cast seems like a bunch of dyslectic whimps that has to be told what to say. its allthough some nice idiopathic comedy in there somewhere, so behold when the grumpy old man gives a small recommend on this one. it would for surtain have been a buster 30 years ago, but 2021 with mr cage at the brink of retirement i can for sure guarantee there are better b-movies out there to choose.

It didnt last longer than this, long playtime is a typical korean way of silverscreen life, that may exhaust you, but this was perfect.

not such a perfect story though, little bit hard to follow whats present or past. music is very drama tic, not so finetuned as the real s.k. blockbusters.but its a nice filmographic work , neatly edited and good acting.

its an accidental crimestory with two different aspects of life, the real life story, and the supernatural story, thereof the title ressurected victims. theyve tried to glue the themes together into a film that the grumpy old man wont hesitate to recommend, but may feel a bit melodramatic in periods.

if youre the mental kind
12 February 2021
Its the mindstorming psycho neuronodentrital schizofrenic teenage drama on the road again, ever so fascinating the mental diseases may be this one give you that en core or en masse, with a little bit horror driven undertones. its a very well acted film by the two young main actors, the rest is what you expect.

the story do introduce you to what a brainstorming in a psychiatrists waiting room could give, the hallusinations and sheer madness in a young persons mind come to life. some might feel its overdriven because its there the whole time.

but some snakelike specialeffects really lives up this film, also the score hits the carpet of silver screen magic. so if your curious, this gives some fringed moments of a tormented mind, its not original but far above the average.a recommend from the grumpy old man

12 February 2021
Went through during some bad hang-over experiences in my teenage years, its a groundhog day or grounded with the dogs, barking or speaking into the big white telephone kneestanding trying to figure out why , what, where and howcome some things in life always seems to repeat itself.

so its a groundhog film, its also an extremely philosopical teenage drama, with loads of questions surrounding existentialisms of life. its cute acting, seemingly under full controll, the filmography and editing are of high standard, with extremely many different shooting sites and location.its also a psychic dimension in the story line, its fun to see but rather impossible in true life.

i felt this was too repetitive plotwise , a forever return at the turn of life, its flat on real experiences and not as crazy as could have been. but even though all these remarks, the grumpy old man recommends a watch, but i will not do the groundhog loop to rewatch this. a 6 at most.

dull and longlasting
12 February 2021
Coming of age romantic comedydrama, that scores full pot on all of the genre insignias for that kind of movie genre, and there are absolutely no originality or twisted ideas to evolve something interesting for a grumpy old man...i guess im not the typical target viewer for this sweet and slick american senior high drama, but its a time filler for a night shift worker.

so its food for the girls foremostly, its high on love, not so high on honesty and quite a bit stupidity inbetween. the acting is totally average, some cuties in the cast, and its framed in a sparkling upper to rich middelclass of society. it has all the disney glamour that some loves and some hates.

i think this was dull and out of reach for many in real life, and weve seen it all before.just a 5.
