Truly a masterpiece; The Intouchables is a heartwarming and heartfelt story of a remarkable and true friendship between a quadriplegic and his aid. With some genuine laughs and thoughtful drama thrown in, The Intouchables is a touching movie that will leave you will the feel goods for a long time to come.

Really funny, feel good, genuinely great movie

Instant Family is an instant hit. It was so fun to watch. I found myself actually laughing out loud during the course of the movie. Usually, I don't like movies where everything ends up okay but I liked this one. As a child who's experienced adoption and family court, I felt like this movie, albeit a little dramatic, saw how it felt to be a part of the system. A great movie!

an amazing movie with a message of faith, hope and inspiration for all ages and all believers

A common complaint I see is how many differences there are between this movie and the story in the bible. While I do not refute this, I don't think these differences should be held against the film. I was 6 when The Prince of Egypt came out and I remember watching it with my family. This movie has become a pillar in my faith. A source of faith when I am lacking and a dose of hope when I feel none. Game of Thrones is a tv series based on a book. As graphic as it is, it is nothing compared to the violence in the books. If Game of Thrones were made into a tv series, many things would have to be left out or altered. Still, it is an amazing, highly ranked series. My point on being tangent here, is that if you discredit this film because it is different from the bible, you are missing out on a great film. The movie is adapted for children but still conveys an unfathomable message of faith and hope even when there seems to be none. If you are looking for a more realistic version of the story, watch The Ten Commandments. But I will leave you with this; this movie came out when I was six. I am now twenty five and as a (potentially biased) Christian, I have watched this movie countless times and I never tire of its message and feeling of hope, faith and inspiration.

Deadpool 2 (2018)
The movie was so good, I can't decide which I like more, DP or DP2

As a movie AND a sequel this one blew me out of the water. All the same things we love about that lovable asshole, Deadpool are present in DP 2. Ryan Reynolds played a hand at writing DP 2 and it shows. His razor sharp sarcastic sense of humor translate extremely well to the big screen. The movie manages to defy stereotypes while also making fun of them in a way that you cant help but to laugh. The problems with sequels is often the second movie is almost an exact duplicate of the first. The brilliance behind DP2 is they are able to build on the groundwork laid from the first movie while still providing a new and fresh film as well. Ryan Reynolds makes a lot of jokes not only at his expense but also in reference to the DC universe and other pop culture. Combined with all the bad ass action, the nonstop laughter and the newcomers who pull you in the moment they step foot on screen, this movie is a home run must see. The only reason I give this a 9/10 is because you have to be (vaguely) familiar with the Marvel Universe and pop culture references in order to understand some of the jokes. While I understood them, I know my parents, who would love this movie, the jokes would sail right over their heads which means they would spend the entire movie asking me questions which is why I don't watch movies with them anymore. But that's just me. If you and/or the person you go with are even a little bit familiar with Marvel, Ryan Reynolds and Henry Cavil's mustache, you will love it as much as I did. Do yourself a favor and get to a movie theater, you won't be sorry.

Coco (I) (2017)
Don't listen to anyone who gives less than 10/10

This movie was amazing. I don't even know where to begin. It was a piece of cinematic mastery. The colors and details were all so amazing. Every part of the screen was carefully created with beautiful details. Despite my lack of Mexican or Latino heritage, I have always been very interested in Dias des los Muertos. The movie taught me so much, like the ofrenda and the marigold petals. The movie itself was beautifully written with delightful songs and clever jokes. Overall, an excellent movie. You won't regret watching. I can't pick what I love most about it.

Passengers (I) (2016)
Good not great --- warning some spoilers ahead
14 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I love anything with Chris Pratt and I enjoy Jennifer Lawrence as well. But I took issue with a lot of the logic behind the movie. Maybe it's my analytical, logic driven side, but there's no way that the ship would have no crew awake to check on passengers and problems with the ship. Every machine has its kinks. It makes no sense that there would be no one awake to monitor the ship. The setting is in a time where people can be in a hibernation, comatose state for 120 years and yet it takes 19 years and $6,012 to send a message and 36 yeas to hear back. Maybe it's just me, but if you can look past all the logical errors the writers and directors missed out on, and enjoy a movie like a normal person, then it's a pretty decent movie. I don't wish I had the $8.59 back I paid to see the movie if that tells you anything.
