Beyond Paradise: Episode #1.5 (2023)
There was no panic
Who writes the episode descriptions? There was no "panic" surrounding the arsons. In fact, no one in the town was shown even talking about the arsons. The episode was just ok; not one the most interesting cases they have had so far and not very many credible suspects to pick from. At the first fire, the main clue just happened to be found right where the detective was standing. Pretty ridiculous. Oh look, I found a button. I wonder where that came from! DUH! Let's spend all day and night looking at a website devoted to buttons! There wasn't much detecting going on and the episode wrapped up quickly. I don't really see the attraction between. Humphry and Martha. Guess we will find out more about their relationship in the next episode.
Endeavour: Terminus (2021)
Where were the set designers and writers?
I thought this was one of the weaker episodes in the history of Endeavour. The story of Thursday's missing son had no bearing on the plot and just seemed to be written to give Joanie and Winifred some air- time. Winifred's behavior toward Thursday seemed way out of character. That Endeavor just happened to be on the same bus, was falling down drunk, but could remember fine details after the fact was laughable. The ending was very convoluted and far-fetched.
The other thing that really bugged us was the set design. The abandoned hotel that the bus riders took refuge in had been empty for the past 8 years. Everything in the hotel is exactly how it was when it closed down. However, there were no cobwebs, mouse droppings, dirt, or dust on any of the furniture, floors, tables and lamps.
It is hard to believe that being so close to the city, it hadn't been used by teenagers as a hang-out or been ransacked by thieves. Endeavor easily gained access to the hotel, therefore anyone with morbid curiosity or thievery in mind, could have gotten in. There was no explanation as to who owned the property and why they didn't try to sell the hotel and contents.
Yellowstone: Daybreak (2018)
Might be a good show but...
I couldn't get past the first scene. Did the writer just put that in for shock value?
Mom: Hot Butter and Toxic Narcissism (2019)
Not funny
Sorry, but I don't find leaving the scene of an accident very funny. Especially when Chrissie is in school to become a lawyer.
