The first poor episode
Bland and boring with little creativity both visually and storyline from beginning to end the script in particular was more horrifying than any vampire could be.
It's not as bad as many make out whilst theres only a couple of completely laugh out loud moments on a whole the film is amusing and does enough to pass the time the chemistry between the main characters is good also. Yes it could have been funnier but there is a lot worse out there and is enough fun to pass by quickly all be it relatively forgettably. Another average comedy.
Completely ridiculous from beginning to end
The first half hour I was thinking it's not as bad as what I've read with it being rather basic but somewhat humorous but the plot holes got bigger the story more and more ridiculous to the very end. The humour tired as constantly swearing and being sarcastic doesn't last for 2 hours. Atleast half hour to long and with a horrific story and script a real shame considering how much I loved the originals. Equally as bad a reboot as Tom Cruise's the mummy if not probably worse.
Les frères Sisters (2018)
Emotionally layered western
More layers than initially meets the eye in this western. Some great performance throughout although I felt John C Reilly was a real stand out. Plenty of twists and turns drama and action while portraying real emotion and relationships and not getting lost within the violence. A refreshingly good western.
Missing Link (2019)
Wanted to enjoy it more
Don't get me wrong the animation was sublime and it looked beautiful throughout and whilst there was a few decent laughs large parts of the film I found myself slightly bored waiting for something to happen overall the story does just enough but does not match the ambition or execution of the animation it accompanies a few more laughs would not have gone a miss either.
Wonder Park (2019)
Watchable but devoid of personality
The whole film was just so bland just about past the time and was visually fine but just extremely basic and not much if anything thrown in for adults accompanying children. Overall very young kids might like it but anyone else is likely to find this average at best. Would have been much better to see more of the park in action also.
Heart, drama and excitement just a few things this film has in abundance so much fun from first minute to last and a great follow up from the also great Aquaman DC is on form and showing it's superiority at last.
Out of Blue (2018)
Solid crime drama
Not your standard detective movie and probably guilty of being over ambitious in its aims at time but can't fault the effort. Whilst it just misses the mark I imagine they were aiming for the overall product is still extremely interesting and enjoyable overall.
Don't get the negativity
This film was breathtaking both visually and emotionally! A fantastic film all the way through didn't leave the memories of my childhood until the very end. One of the better Disney remakes so far if anything. Only slight negative was having Budfer in it made that whole seen completely cringeworthy nearly through up in my mouth a bit that one moment was so bad. Otherwise top marks.
The Umbrella Academy (2019)
Mediocre until the end
Large parts of the series were dull and boring and despite glimpses until the last 2 episodes it was largely mundane with the odd scenes of development and excitement. However the last 2 episodes were phenomenal and hopefully set the series on the right track moving in to season 2!
Wow did not expect that
After having its problems in my eyes the majority of the season it finishes on a high! What an amazing end every part was perfect! Here's to hoping season 2 goes from strength to strength
The Umbrella Academy: Changes (2019)
At long last a whole episode consistently good exciting and moving the story forward let's hope the finale is as good. By far the best episode so far!
The Gifted (2017)
Another solid edition to the universe
When it's really going it's perfect. It has its ups and downs though on occasion strays into mediocrity for a few episodes before coming back with a bang. Overall the character arcs are greats and even the filler episodes entertain enough to get by. Hoping we get to see the next story in season 3!
Finally some excitement
I mean it took 40 minutes of the episode for something good to happen but that's better than usual best part of the series so far!
Mild improvement but still drainingly slow. On the bright side only 3 more to go!
Can they get to the point already?!
The majority has been so long and boring I'm almost desperate for the end of it. However there are still glimpses of excitement and potential still hoping amongst everything it will improve and fulfill its potential.
The Umbrella Academy: Number Five (2019)
One step forward two steps back
After the last episode I was excited for what was next but was met with bleak mediocrity until the teasing cliffhangers to end. Hopefully they lead to a better next episode.
Best episode so far
Finally some decent character development and story arcs filming. Entertainment from non action scenes probably for the first time this entire series a consistently good episode. Long may it continue
It has the best soundtrack I can remember in a horror, a complex storyline, tension aplenty, interesting characters, humour and most importantly actual scary moments. Best horror I can remember seeing in quite some time dating back to get out and it. Thoroughly enjoyable from first moment to last although does have you leaving with more questions than answers but on this occasion I love that. Almost the perfect horror.
Love, Death & Robots: Suits (2019)
Animation probably the worst so far but still great basic storyline but some great action an enjoyable 15 minutes overall.
Worst episode yet
Barely anything happens and struggles to keep one concentration. One reasonable fight scene towards the end for a few minutes and a cliffhanger but not a lot else to cling on to. Disappointed so far in the series given how highly it's been talked. Still hopefully it can improve mind.
The Umbrella Academy: Run Boy Run (2019)
Poo sandwich but on really nice bread
The opening scenes and the final 10 minutes were amazing. However the filling inbetween was remarkably dreary. The 20 minutes or so of greatness give me hope though
Nothing to get to excited about
Nothing wowed me but can just about see it being worthwhile and have seen a lot worse let's hope it picks up with a bit more excitement the next few episodes.
Love, Death & Robots: The Witness (2019)
awesome visuals poor story
Loved the mirrors edge style graphics but didn't get the point of the story at all!
Amusing little short
Some good humour but a tad disappointing after episode one which was phenomenal
