The Warning (2018)
7/10
Mind folks ! this is a Supernatural thriller
15 August 2018
To be honest, i decided to watch this movie because of the premise and it quite actually offers you what you need. The direction, story, acting, music was right on the point. Its kind of a slow burn but never gets you bored. The climax scenes really manages you to be on the edge of the seat. Although the climax scenes were perfectly shot, there seems to be a huge plot hole (there are many though) or a mistake made by the makers in marking the genre of the film. As the movie progresses towards the climactic point , we feel that the genre is shifting from thriller to a supernatural thriller, but in a good way. I really liked the climax of the movie, reminds us of the time paradox used in many time travel movies. Overall my rating is 7/10. A decent watch . Don't forget this : watch this as a Supernatural thriller

Lust Stories (2018)
5/10
Staring at a wall for 2 hours would have been worth it
16 June 2018
First of all, i am not a Bollywood fan. I think most of the Bollywood movies out there are just money grabbing machines, although some are worth watching( Rajkumar hiranis and aamir khan movies). Bollywood seems to apply the formula of women +feminism+love- mens views= a women crowd puller. Coming to this movie they have cheated netflix by saying that they are adding a new concept and wonder what? Lust!!. What a new concept right? Just the right formula to get both critics appraisal and grab money from the poor audience, mostly feminists. The movie started with radhika aptes story, who is a teacher obsessed with one of her students. There are mental thoughts happening with her which are shown as an interview section. The end was pretty average for general audience and mind blowing for feminists. The second movie was literally us staring at a wall for over 30 minutes. The movie was pointless and didnt knew where it was going. The third movie can be described as another wall which the audience needs to stare for a long time except one difference.. the wall is painted with a new colour. The best part was the last film by karan johar. This film had some life in it and provides occassional laughs. The end scene could have been funny if it was not copied from the Gerard butler movie 'The ugly truth'. The scene was hilarious except the fact that it doesnt have the charm of the original movie. Overall this movie is just a typical movie which feminists can hold debates and appreciate. But for a regular movie buff this is just a money grabbing fare and can give it a skip. Watch The little death instead.

Inside No. 9: The Harrowing (2014)
Season 1, Episode 6

Good one but less of a twist ending
2 December 2017
i am really starting to like inside no.9 . from the first episode itself i was hooked to this series. and there were ups and downs as i went through this series. And coming to this episode i sincerely thought this one had a good atmosphere. but having watched it fully, i saw some wasted potential. other episodes , except last gasp, had cool twist but this one had a real potential for a jaw dropping twist but sadly they have wasted that potential and created an usual twist ending that we have all seen before

Overall this episode is good and has its moments but twist? no. is it good? yes of course my rating 6/10

Sense8: Who Am I? (2017)
Season 2, Episode 2
9/10
season 1 felt slow? then this is the perfect antidote
21 May 2017
I came into sense 8 season 2 expecting a slow burner like the first season . But boy! i am truly mind blown . each episodes had an adrenaline rush that keeps you hooked to the seats. The episodes in sense 8 season 1 was just a character development process. This one is really an edge -of - the seat thriller .I would like to say positives and negatives about sense 8 season 2

positives:

1.Great story line. All the characters are well developed and has specific roles to play

2.Truly a mind numbing thriller. Don't expect the slowness of season 1. this is thrill ride

3. Great direction and action choreography. most of the scenes are amazingly shot

4. Great background music.and its another reason for all the adrenaline rush

5.Scenes where the main villain enters are really thrilling.

negatives:

1.i cant point out a specific negative point in this . maybe one negative is about season 1 , many people may give up within the first few episodes in season 1 and wont try to watch this season 2 and its really a negative point.

2. season 1 had a conclusion in it but this is an open ending but that's not something i would hold against sense 8 season 2 after all the things that season 2 has in it.

Overall sense 8 season 2 is really mind blowing. all the characters are fully developed and now they feel lovable. forget the slow ride in sense 8 season 1 and even in Christmas special that was just a big leap to a thrill ride in season 2.

Take out all the logics, Bahubali conclusion is surely an entertainer
13 May 2017
YES, finally we get to know why kattappa killed bahubali. but was it satisfying? yes to an extent. If people clamouring in theatre over all heroic scenes are your kind of entertainment then bahubali could blow your mind because Rajamouli , this time, has made the hero look more heroic and included scenes which can grab all the audience claps. I would like to discuss some of the positives and negatives about this film.

Positives:

1. A better and engaging story line than the first part

2.The title sequence was actually great 3.Performances of all actors were good especially the main lead prabhas

4. The hunting scene at beginning was amazingly done

5. Fight sequences were amazingly done

Negatives:

1.The graphics at some point looked good and at other points it was actually bad

2. The fight scenes had no logic at all. Some times we think of ourselves " Yaah this is a typical telugu movie"

So in short Bahubali is surely a masterpiece from Indian cinema but cant compare with Hollywood epics due to comparatively lack of story line and some bad graphics and last but not the least 'LOGIC'.

Watch Saghav for Nivin pauly's performance
19 April 2017
Expectations were huge for this comrade to come and hit on big screen. But the question whether these expectations were fullifilled remains on tenter hooks. Nivin paulys latest release Saghav runs for almost 2 and a half hours and was expected to deliver a puissant message to all the so- called comrades out there. The intention of the award winning director sidharth shiva was good but it runs along a predictable and a long story line.

Positives: 1. Nivin paulys performance 2. Good camera work made the audience feel the vibe of all the shots especially when the history of main character is shown. 3. Good background music 4. A puissant and relevant message for all new generation comrades Negatives: 1.Predictable story line which was stretched creating a tiresome experience to the audience. 2.Some unnecessary jokes which terrible failed to make people laugh also. 3.Some heroic moments which was strictly meant for Nivin pauly fans. 4.Although the message was good there lacked a good medium or story line to serve it to the audience.

Overall Saghav is a break from Nivin paulys repertoire but the story line could have been much better and engaging.
