The Marvels (2023)
The Marvels (MAR) movie review by Most Fair
MAR is a superheroes movie featuring Captain Marvel with two additional heroines. This review won't reveal any plot details.
The Bad: Where to start? First off, MAR is pure fan exploitation as labeled and licensed by Marvel and Disney. The story is senseless, tasteless and out of any Marvel universe order. The movie main characters are enforced upon the viewer and seem so out of place. It's a chaotic and broken script, plus movie is stuffed with bad CGI. Acting is below mediocre at its best.
The Good: Unfortunately, good is not present within MAR.
Conclusion: The Disney and Marvel movie campaign fails. Not worth your time.
Oppenheimer (2023)
Oppenheimer (OPP) movie review by Most Fair
OPP is a movie about the work of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer on the atomic bomb during World War 2. This movie review will not reveal further plot details.
The Bad: OPP is full of incorrect events, which makes no sense, as the truth would've made OPP so much better. Christopher Nolan seems out of place directing, and the movie never ignites any feel to it.
The Good: The cast performs absolutely brilliant! The 4 out of 10 rating is due to the acting. Sceneries are also believable.
Conclusion: You won't miss out on something special, not watching OPP. It's a soulless piece of film, which is a shame as the potential of a classic was present.
Barbie (2023)
Barbie (BAR) movie review by Most Fair
BAR is a comedy movie set in two worlds, Barbie's and the 'real world'. This review won't dig further into the plot.
BAR is a pleasant surprise; it's pretty good fun and the actors, music and scenography all make an exceptional job.
The comedy of BAR is self ironic and sarcastic and nails it pretty much spot on. Middle part of the movie gets a bit ordinary and dull but doesn't ruin the film overall.
The movies scenes are incredible and really stands out. This also applies to the costumes and soundtrack. Several scenes of this film are brilliantly coordinated and really entertaining.
BAR is recommendable for the general movie fan and definitely one to watch.
The Exorcist: Believer (2023)
The Exorcist: Believer (EXO) movie review by Most Fair
EXO is a horror movie, based on the Exorcist movie franchise. EXO is about the possession and exorcisms of two girls, however this review won't reveal any further details on the plot.
Today is 2024-01-20 and Germany will face Austria @8:30pm in the European Handball Championship. This info is twice as exciting and twice as scary than watching EXO.
EXO is barely a shadow of its origins, and one tragic rebirth of the Exorcist brand. The budget of this movie must have been spent on licensing of the fonts and music of the original, as not much was spend on actors, writers or directors.
EXO is released by Blumhouse which is comparable to the Star Wars shows released by Disney. Unforgettable, pure exploitation and movie garbage at its best. Avoid any contact with EXO!
Evil Dead Rise (2023)
Evil Dead Rise (EVI) movie review by Most Fair
EVI is a horror movie taking place inside an Old apartment building. This review won't dig deeper into the story line as if it would've made any difference (Storyline and plot doesn't matter).
EVI is like any other recent horror movie, not scary and not good. EVI wants to compensate lack of storyline and plot with humor but fails to do so. Unfortunately it also fails on effects which (Perhaps purposefully) are really bad.
The cast do an okay acting job but they won't make up for the overall lack of movie entertainment.
EVI deserves 1 (One) star rating and earns an additional for trying. Trying won't do though and viewers won't miss out on anything, not watching EVI.
Bullet Train (2022)
Bullet Train (BUL) review by Most Fair
BUT is an action movie comedy about a group of assassins on common assignments. Their paths cross onboard a bullet train and this short review won't reveal any further details of the plot.
BUT movie cast includes several renowned actors, and their all perform good, though the movie itself doesn't require top performances due to the nature of the film.
BUT is first and foremost stupid and rather dumb, which makes it rather entertaining. The scenery is static and action sequences low tech, but it works!
BUT is no essential movie experience but your time will not be a total waste. Watch if you have the time for it but don't prioritize. Above mediocre movie, certainly not bad.
Triangle of Sadness (2022)
Triangle of Sadness (TRI) review by Most Fair
TRI is a satiric comedy movie, and an interesting watch. The humor is constantly ironic and solid backed by great cast of actors. TRI really starts to get good on board a luxury cruise ship, but this review won't reveal any further details.
Movie scenes and pictures of TRI are okay but the TRI comes alive through its brilliant monologue and over the top grossness (By positive means).
TRI is comparable to 'the Menu' and will definitely be a one to watch for fans of such film. The rating 6/10 is well above average and worth your time.
The international cast are top performers and made me laugh out loud due to funny and grotesque/gross moments.
Ahsoka (2023)
Star Wars - Ahsoka (AHS) series review by Most Fair
AHS is such a letdown by Disney. This show cares only about fanbase exploitation and womanizing an otherwise perfectly universe of heroines and heroes!
Disneys fortune is utterly ridiculous which only makes this tedious, childish and low budget written show even worse. It should have been so much better! Where is the plot, the space adventure, mysteries and the brave characters?
Would unsubscribe Disney+ because of AHS, if it was not for the love of Futurama and Simpsons. So, Disney won again but the Star Wars brand lost and failed. Big time.
As former diehard Star Wars fan, rest assured AHS is not worth the time. Watch Episode IV, V and VI instead.
The Devil on Trial (2023)
The Devil on Trial (DEV) Review by Most Fair
DEV is a documentary by Netflix about a family and their supposed possessed son.
DEV is not worthy the label as a documentary, since all the real evidence is cut out, or it does not exist, and replaced with story telling and acting.
As both an atheist and non-believer this is another hoax with explainable causes (Psychiatric issues) to the so called paranormal. Again, there are no real evidence in this film.
DEV deserves two stars for its existence, and the hunt for true evidence of the paranormal and/or demonic possessions continues. Unfortunately, DEV presents no reason whatsoever to believe in God and/or the Devil. Avoid if possible.
My Octopus Teacher (2020)
My Octopus Teacher review by Most Fair
My Octopus Teacher (MOT) is a documentary film featuring filmmaker Craig Foster (CF) and an octopus. The film is set around an ocean kelb forest and supposedly documenting the interactions between CF and the octopus.
Unfortunately, there are not many positives or real learnings to achieve by watching this movie. The main focus is the self pity of a filmmaker, not how he was influenced by nature or what it taught him.
As a documentary and/or movie MOT cannot be recommended, due to its lack of real content. I do hope CF learned something, because the average viewer won't from watching this film. Another tasteless Netflix production.
Moonfall (2022)
Moonfall movie review by Most Fair
The Moonfall movie wants too much without doing anything.
No answer is provided to one of the thousands dilemmas or aspects raised in this movie. And whether or not not the intention, it only worsens the experience from an audience point of view.
Budget of this movie was obviously spent on salaries. Production, CGI, plot etc are executed on a low budget.
I won't get into details of the story or plot, as you shouldn't really be bothered. If you choose to watch Moonfall, please do so without any hope or expectation to be mentally challenged. To be fair my hardest challenge about Moonfall was to stay awake - and I failed on several occasions!
Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
'Jurassic World: Dominion' Review by Most Fair
Like the animals in Jurassic World: Dominion (JWD), this movie is a genetic altercation (Gone wrong!) of the original Jurassic Park (JP).
Reviewed as a movie of its own breed, I would rate it 2/10, meaning JWD scores 4/10 only due to its legacy. JWD has several members from the original movie, which is a pleasant return.
The GFX of JWD are a massive letdown (read bad)! Movies and entertainment today are businesses more than ever, so the 'quantity over quality' rule also apply to JWD. Truly sad, considering JWDs direct heritage to JP, and the impact JP made to the industry of GFX back in the early 90s.
Possessor (2020)
Possessor movie review by Most Fair
Today is Tuesday the 27th of July @5:54pm (GMT+2), and this day happens to be my first day of summer holidays.
Above info seems twice as relevant and exciting as watching the Possesor. I am currently 49mins in and have fallen asleep twice. Please do not regard the meta score, this is absolutely nonsense!
The Professor and the Madman (2019)
The Professor and the Madman movie review by Most Fair
The Professor and the Madman was a very pleasant surprise.
Solid story and top acting performances. Highly recommendable!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 16: The Rescue (2020)
The Mandalorian S02 ch16 - Review by Most Fair
Everybody's talking childhood memories, and so will I. This episode of the Mandalorian really brings back those childhood memories! And thank you for those sweet memories, George Lucas (And Disney for bringing them back)... Amazing episode!
Aterrados (2017)
Aterrados movie review by Most Fair
Admittedly, I want to be a fan of horror movies, I really do! Problem is that horror movies rarely (Literally never) scare me, and so is the case with Aterrados.
Story is bland and shock effects are foreseeable. Cast do an okay job, but overall Aterrados fails to do its intended job.
The Hate U Give (2018)
The Hate U Give (THUG) movie review by Most Fair
THUG is a good movie, with great acting, and story about the struggles of a girl bearing witness to a crime. Story is relevant as ever, though somehow, sometimes 'too sweet', THUG is a good movie.
"Tupac will always be relevant...", almost a quarter of a century after his tragic death, the sad problems faced by certain parts of society, make words of Tupac all too relevant to this day.
Brightburn (2019)
Brightburn movie review by Most Fair
Brightburn movie was better than expected - still far from being good.
Acting is perfectly okay, GFX bland at best and SFX not impressive.
Brightburn has few moments worth mentioning, but potential for so much more, as the story is not bad (Though definitely lacking sense).
Brightburn ends up as one to forget. The writers/team show talent and potential for something good in the future.
Rick and Morty (2013)
Rick and Morty series review by Most Fair
Rick and Morty (RM) is an outstanding animated TV show! The dialogue is ridiculous, brilliantly timed and very clever.
The animations and sounds are vibrant, and the voice acting is o top. RM features several celebrity appearances throughout the series.
RM alone is worth a Netflix subscription and a must see!
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Terminator: Dark Fate movie review by Most Fair
Terminator: Dark Fate (TDF) is a great addition to the Terminator series and TDF takes the series back to its more 'dark' moments.
The GFX are good, and so are the SFX. The storyline fits okay though surprises and need to know information are sparse in TDF.
Overall TDF is a great action movie with decent one liners and worth a view not only for fans of the series.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Captain Marvel movie review by Most Fair
I'm no particular fan of Marvel, however I am a fan of movies. And Captain Marvel is nothing more than an unforgettable experience in the massive lineup of superhero movie releases.
The GFX seem rendered and edited overnight, and the story lack consistency.
Greed and fan base exploitation were the main motivations behind this movie.
Sad time made it this easy to get money.
