Beyond Skinwalker Ranch (2023)
Give it a chance. It had to grow on me.
So when I heard about this series and how it's a spin-off of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, I thought I need to see this! I seriously enjoy watching that series.
But watching episode episode 1 of Beyond Skinwalker Ranch was a cold shower. I binged two more. I just felt it didn't have what the Skinwalker Ranch series had. I felt the Skinwalker crew was just introduced so now and the to piggyback off of it's succes.
I left a 2 or 3 star review and I was done with it. I thought about it a couple of weeks later again. I figured it can't hurt to watch one more maybe and I had spare time. And this time I felt completely different! Episode 4 was far out! YES!! I was so happy about that. I had 5 more to look forward too now.
I'm halfway episode 5 now, and it's actually growing on me. But you must have gathered that much already. I just had to stop and write a review before I forget it. Probably will edit this review in the end but I was so happily surprised that I decided to give it another try.
I've heard about the episode with Chris Bledsoe, episode 8 I believe. And that's the one I'm curious about most. I've seen many podcasts and interviews with him and he just strikes me as this kind and honest man. And he has such a beautiful and exciting story. I'm 100% convinced he's telling the truth. So I don't need to see them testing his statements but I do just want to see more about him. He mentions being in this series on History Channel quite often and how he's happy with it. Discovery Channel did a docu about him back in 2007 or 2008 but they edited it so that it made him look like the town clown and it pretty much ruined his and his family's live for 5 years or so. The town's people mocked them and they got excommunicated from the Episcopal Church of which they were a member. Just all kinds of nastyness. Discovery Channel did a real number on them. I looked that docu up and he's right. It didn't make him look good. So unfair as he thought he could tell others about these events this way. So this on History Channel made it good. Haven't seen it yet but he mentions it so often in interviews. He also wrote a book called UFO of God and that's on top of my to read list. And they'll be making a movie of his live. Good stuff.
I digressed a bit right there but bottom line is, give it a chance. Don't expect exactly the same as The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. Go in open minded. Don't stop after episode 3 because it will get better.
Cheers.
The UFO Movie They Don't Want You to See (2023)
Ignored facts and a lot of speculation. Debunker hitjob.
This is just one big sceptic documentary.
The host has already made up his mind. He focuses on a couple of things and ignores a huge amount of data.
Example, the Montana Missile silos. He only talks about one site and never talks about all other sites. Says Bob Salas' memory might be failing after all these years. Says the flight computers rebooted which could have made the missile shutdown. What he didn't say is that the missiles are not serial connected. So if one reboots and shuts down, the rest shouldn't. Yet they did.
And it's not just Malmstrom AFB, ALL nuclear (military) sites have had encounters!
Robert Hastings wrote book about it. He investigated and collected everything Nuclear and UFO related and found a rock solid pattern.
Then they start explaining the UFO away as a Barium cloud. But of course they 'forgot' to mention that the UFO came up close and personal. It wasn't a far away lichtshow anymore. It was right there. It came to them and stopped above them.
This is just 1 example. This is how all his debunking in this goes. Takes a couple of useful facts, twists the wordings a little and conveniently leaves out truckloads of corroborating evidence.
This is no investigation into the UFO phenomena. This is a debunking show. Or hitjob.
Debunkers probably like it.
Anyone who has actual knowledge about UFO sightings sees right through this.
It's sad really. Don't bother watching. The title is enticing and speaks to us (UFO community) but it's a trick title. It's should be called The Great Debunk show or something like that.
Oh and of course the fact that Nick West is in here should keep you away. He does his old tricks but conveniently forgets to mention that the actual manufacturers of the used hardware later explained how his facts were off.
This is a debunking show.
And a hit job.
Not worth your time but feel free to watch it of course. I made I halfway and shut it down, leaving a thumb down on Tubi.
UFOs are real. And yes, 95% of sightings are explainable. Mundane objects or what have you. I don't care about those. I care about the 5%.
UFOs are here, and have been for a long time. What it is and where it's from is unknown. As are the occupants. But we'll get there and the debunkers will have to scratch themselves behind the ears. And find a new hobby.
First Contact (2016)
Sect-or cultlike. Big no no.
Gave me a sect- or cultlike kind of feeling. I've been researching the phenomenon for decades. It's a hobby that has gotten out of hand. Seen and read a lot about UFOs / UAPs. This is one I'd rather forget or unsee. Yes, it's that bad.
I don't even know in which category I would place this. It's not good, it's bad. Really, really bad.
Aliens talking through people as if they're an oracle. Shaking and shivering when connecting and the the aliens speak. It's so obviously acted. And the acting is bad. Really, really bad.
I'm sorry for the people in it but this is just a waste of time. And certainly a waste of space on my hard drive. Shift - Del. Adios.
UFO Witness (2021)
Good show with some unfortune choices
I've been into the subject ever since I was a kid (48 now). Doesn't mean I believe everything that is being said. I'm incredibly picky. I need some kind of proof, credible witnesses, preferably multiple witnesses and what have you. There are so many ludicrous stories out there, so many misidentifications (planet, meteor, sundogs, planes, insects... I can go on and on.)
I like how Ben Hansen talks with the guests in the show; calm, easy and comforting.
What I don't like, and many have mentioned this already, is the over-dramatic and too loud background music. And then the audiotapes, completely inaudible.
What bothers me most is the voiceover, talking about threats, invasions, attacks and malevolent aliens, based on absolutely nothing. It's just sensationalizing done wrong. Why always look for a new enemy? They have never shot down one of our planes, destroyed something or killed anyone. Really, lose the voiceover and the threat narrative.
All things considered I feel this is still a good show. It's Ben who makes it good. I'm starting episode 6 of season 2 now. I hope for less threat scares and more videos, documents, stories and maybe something I haven't already seen or heard in my decades of reading books and watching shows about UFOs/UAPs.
@ The producers and all involved: For a possible next season, p.l.e.a.s.e.(!!!) lose the voiceover. Seriously.

Top Secret UFO Projects: Declassified (2021)
Disappointment
Like the title of the series, the whole thing is a sensationalized picture of events.
Without any form of proof the supposed alien visitors are being projected malevolent and evil.
A couple of lines you'll hear the narrator say:
"...with soldiers on the frontlines battling alien forces..."
"...when the brave men in combat are pitted against otherworldly technology, the fight is far from fair..."
"...sightings of ocean dwelling UFO's. Where do they come from. And how will our seafaring heroes defend themselves and the public..."
"...and the possibility of unspeakable death and destruction..."
And it goes on on.... Sensationalized and dramatized. I've seen a lot of series and documentaries about this topic. This is one of the worst I've ever seen. Exactly this is why the UFO community is being ridiculed, although that seems to be changing for the better, slowly.
1 star, that's what I rate this. Nothing more, even less if there was an option.
Unidentified with Demi Lovato (2021)
-LIKE, OMG...-style MTV-like series-
I don't want to shoot down her own UAP experience but this is far from the way I personally think what a UAP documentary should be like. I don't know *what* this is. This is a -LIKE, OMG...-style MTV-like series. This is why the we (the UAP-community) get mocked and not taken seriously. This is why we better not call them UFOs but UAPs.
