The Upside (2017)

I was almost influenced not to watch it due to the plethora of negative reviews , however, i decided to check it out for myself and it's a good thing i did. First off, the movie does not stagnate and dwell on plot knots, things move along pretty smoothly , Secondly , it is very funny; kevin Hart does a great job, he has some serious moments in the movie that he tackles quite well and the chemistry with Brian Cranston seems so natural. Thirdly the movie has some touching moments without milking it for more than it's worth. All in all it is a very funny movie which will make you feel good at the end of it.

Venom (2018)

ignore the critics - its amazing

After reading some of the reviews , i started to get discouraged however, the bad reviews did not stop me from going to see the movie and find out for myself how bad the movie was. the movie starts a bit slow and while it did i kept thinking that the critics might be right , a bit later in the movie i found out that they couldn't be more wrong. the movie is amazing . the special effects are good the banter between eddie and venom is hilarious. i came out surprised at how fun it was to watch this movie. it made me want to rewatch spiderman 3 to see why i hated venom in that movie. i recommend everyone that love comic book adaptations to see it .

The House with a Clock in Its Walls (2018)

mediocre at best

I went in with an expectation of a fun fiction-adventure story, however even though the movie starts off well , it later losses traction as the story starts to unfold . i started loosing interest half way through, the CGI were good but not enough to leave you gasping for more. the movie was stuck in limbo between a kids B rated movie while trying to be a halloween movie. all in all the experience was a bit boring while there were funny bits, they were very rare.

Iron Fist (2017–2018)

Had a lot of potential .....Disappointed!!

To start with, I was not happy with the casting even before the show aired, still i hoped to be proved wrong once i watched it.... i wasn't.

Iron fist for those that are comic book fans , is supposed to be one of the most lethal martial artist on the planet, which serves as a good starting point to bring in an expert martial artist to fill the shoes. since that didn't happen the action scenes seem rehearsed and at times slow with no creative choreography. the lead character does not come off as a strong person rather a kid with parent issues that is so annoyingly naive. out of the similar series done by Netflix Iron fist ranks last on my list, with daredevil being first and Jessica Jones second. they really missed the mark on this one.
