Midsommar (2019)
I had high hopes
It was a pretty movie and what gore I saw was fine. But I fell asleep. I don't know what else to say. Snore.
Army of the Dead (2021)
Keep going Zach.
If theres any reason why a Zach Snyder film doesn't rate through the roof is because he crushes it every time and we the people are fickle and demand more.
Please keep doing what you're doing Mr. Snyder.
Yasuke (2021)
The bad reviews are b.s
Lesean Thomas is a genius. Plain and simple. The bad reviews are just a case of old school anime lovers not willing to change
Shame on them.
More please. And more Canon Busters.
Ghosts of War (2020)
Well done.
No budget and a few (I hate to say this because i like these people) b list characters did a fine job on this.
Watch Titans. Theo Rossi needs to be cast.
Superman Returns (2006)
Can I be sued for this?
Kevin Spacey.
Bryan Singer.
Jon Peters.
Google any of these names.
Brandon Routh wasn't bad but I'm afraid of the price he paid being a young man in this movie made by those men.
Untraceable (2008)
Ahead of it's time.
Brilliant. Smart. Gory.
More of this please.
And you know damn well anyone who hurts Tom Hanks (national treasure) child will suffer.
Kidding aside, a well thought out chiller.
Enjoy.
The Tax Collector (2020)
Shia LaBeouf backlash?
Good movie. I'm guessing the hard reviews have something to do with Shia.
That aside this was a good movie, good actors and well done.
Terminator Salvation (2009)
No one will ever surpass the first 2
My dad rented terminator on beta. Yeah I'm old. I snuck down the hall and watched it and to this day it's one of my favs (I did the same with first blood and still love it).
No one will exceed these films but I've enjoyed them all many times
Death Wish (2018)
Respect to Roth and Willis.
Only reason I gave this a 7 is for my love of Willis and Roth.
Project Power (2020)
Fishback. Remember that name.
Good movie. Good action. Maybe a bit generic but Miss Fishback stood out.
I look forward to seeing her again.
Take note Mr. Foxx and Mr. Leavitt.
The Story of Plastic (2019)
Plastics can be destroyed but there is no profit in it
If this interests you then watch plastic planet, a much more forward doc. It's not filled with people pointing fingers and crying. There are solutions but they cost money and make no money that is why plastics are hurting the planet.
They don't have to. They can be useful and not hurt our planet.
It's all about the all mighty dollar.
Capone (2020)
Should come with an alarm clock to wake you when it's done
Beautifully shot movie. That's the only plus.
Wasted cast. Terrible script. Incoherent and slow as all hell.
Æon Flux (2005)
Well done
I watched the animated series and enjoyed it. I also enjoyed this version.
Beautiful sets, colorful story and Charlize Theron.
Don't be fooled by the fool critics.
Underwater (2020)
Good cast, light script.
It's hard to get a good underwater film. In the 80's Hollywood spit out The Abyss, Leviathan and Deep Star 6. I enjoyed them all.
Add this to them.
The cast is good, the script not so much but I still enjoyed it.
Love, Death & Robots (2019)
More
Can I swear here?
2 generations of my family love this show.
I don't understand the complications of tv but this one keeps my motor running.
Jue Dai Shuang Jiao (2020)
Blown away, visual masterpiece!
Where to start. This is eye candy to an extraordinary degree. The camera work, sets, fight scenes and the talented cast are some of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.
Top it off with an exciting story.
I'm blown away.
Man of Steel (2013)
Well done. Well done
My mom took me to Superman 2 when I was a child. Much love to Christopher Reeves. Then they reboot it with Brandon Routh and I enjoyed it but it was apparent the studio took over to homogenize it. That and Kevin spacey is a piece of garbage.
Henry Cavill crushed this roll, and Michael Shannon is a born villain.
The Dark Tower (2017)
A bit overloaded but...
Cast was great. Looked beautiful. My only problem is that they tried to cram a piece of every dark tower novel in to 1 movie.
If you haven't read the books then enjoy a nice fantasy movie. If you've read the books then you'll recognize a lot and there are Easter eggs.
Hail Satan? (2019)
Hell yeah
I'm impressed. I thought this was a joke but it really opened my eyes. Give it a shot, you'll be surprised and possibly shocked at what you believe in.
RocknRolla (2008)
Guy Ritchie is a genius until....
Brilliant. Guy Ritchie is an absolute genius and he didn't have to Americanize his films to succeed. Until.
No offense to Madonna but she ruined that man, and many others.
He hasn't been the same since.
In the Tall Grass (2019)
Well done
Film makers have been trying to put Stephen Kings works on film for decades. As well as Joe Hill.
You just can't do it.
Too much inner dialogue.
You can't capture that.
Keep trying Hollywood.
Gerald's Game (2017)
Well done
Stephen King is the greatest novelist of all time.
Problem with translating his books to film
Is the inner dialogue which Mr. King thrives on.
I now to you Mr. King. The film makers are trying to catch up to you.
Geostorm (2017)
Roland Emmerich light.
The critics all hate Roland Emmerich but his movies are very entertaining. This is a take on the end of the world films that Emmerich thrives on.
Close but no cigar. Great cast. Thank you for Zazie Beats.
Not bad. Go in to it knowing it's silly and you'll enjoy it.
Critics can kiss my ass. We are the critics.
Titans (2018)
I'm not biased.
I'm a DC guy but the marvel movies are clearly better. I enjoyed them all. But this is different. This isnt PG hand slapping. This is added reality. If you're a vigilante it's going to be violent, ugly, brutal and in most cases no meta humans.
I grew up loving Robin because he was a side kick and a regular human.
No holds barred here. More please.
Rabid (2019)
No one does Crononberg. No one.
I love the Soska sisters. American Mary was brilliant. That wasn't a fluke. They know what they're doing. But no one, absolutely no one can do Crononberg.
That being said, someone give the twisted twins a big budget affair. They deserve it.
